I was there at this gig! What happened after the vid cuts off, is that Miku tells the crowd that she really can't understand why fans like Akane's banana. Akane does throw her autographed peel into the crowd (a guy in the center caught it), and the crowd went wild! All the while Miku was shaking her head, chiming in a final "I dont understand it!" 😹
Miku's expression...priceless, lol!!! I've mentioned elsewhere about using the banana peel as fertilizer, works especially well for roses. Creating a red/pink "Akane" hybrid rose would be awesome!!! 🤔Then again, if you can extract some DNA from the peel, you could create your own Akane/Gorilla drummer hybrid 😉!!!👍👍🤘🤘🤘
You all need to consider that Miku has been in idol training as far back as she can remember, she's been in an underground idol group and worked in a maid cafe in Akiba... that girl has seen some weird shit. The fact that she can't comprehend the banana peel toss...
I think she actually totally understand it (her perplexity is part of her act of course) and consider it with a lot of self-irony about the interractions artist-fans. It's comedy, but with gentle irony, and I love it.
To be very fair, I don't really understand it either. It is completely insane when you think about it rationally. That said, the whole Gorilla persona thing is also somewhat strange and possibly has gotten a little bit out of hand, so I guess it fits. But it does make for a funny show and if people want it, why not? The quirky MC and omajinai time parts are my favourites to watch though, so I can't say I mind it. I love the connection they have with the fans because of these parts of them just chilling on stage. I guess they will go back to Japan with a whole bunch of weird stories to tell and possibly a different view of the American (Western?) crowds?
So Akane can just swole it a big banana in a time & Miku says owh no thanks... i'm kind like allergic with any banana things... pardon me i can't speak Japanese hhe...
Its funny that Miku doesn't get it that they're a fun band, so they're gonna have some fun fans. She may just be playing it up as well. Either way, it's great! (As a side note... I think Miku and maybe all of them understand more English language that they let one. I mean, she used Translucent properly as a lyric)
Sorry for the abrupt ending! My phone's was dying and kept giving me battery low notifications. 😢

🤣🤣🤣 I was there too! Poor Miku! 😆
Kobato, thinking to herself: _"Americans are so weird."_
The guy that caught it was trying to encase it in resin last I heard. (saw it on facebook groups)
Honey, you'll never guess what I just bought on ebay
It's the nicest and funniest band I know. Not weird. Just talented, charismatic artists who put on a show for their fans.
and People think the Pigeon is the MAD one lol
LOL!. I am completely amazed that 5 Japanese girls handle comedy and stage with such ease. With that charisma one is born.
Not since GWAR.

Haha you make a good point

That, ladies and gentlemen, is the the most bad-ass drummer on the planet.

I wonder if Guns n Roses dropped some tiny item on stage they would pick it up?
