Hey I have a doubt.....Currently Dr Roupen is doing his resident physicianship at The Ottawa Hospital right which is in Canada I guess? So I’m confused how did he use USMLE and match into Canada residency program?Isn’t there a different exam for matching into Canada residency?
@@MalkeAsaad I see......I’ve heard Canada is really immigrant friendly but there’s so less information out there in the public regarding how to get into residency out there.I know of the usmle procedure but absolutely no clue how to get into Canada.Could you please make a video on that.would be reaaallllyyyy helpful.

My goal 255-275 on step1 Could you please answer 2 questions: 1) What i should do next and how to boost my scores? 2) is taking exam in april-may is okay? Or its early a little bit

Yes there is separate exam for Canadians n I think usmle is also valid for residency in Canada!

Hey I just want to know is age a factor for matching residency in Canada and USA as I'm 32 already.. Thank you so much
Not much. What matters is year of graduation and what have you been doing since then

I graduated in 2018. I've not cleared steps yet. Will my YOG effect my application?

2- yes

How did ur exam go ?
@@reminemi1153 scheduled at june-august because of my university exams (not related to usmle's)
DrownedInGames all the best . How prepared are you till now for ur step1? Have u done one pass of uw ?
Did you do uworld mixed or system based along with FA?
First system then mixed.
26:22 do i get the idea right? Doing two NBME's in one day back to back?
Yes exactly, 4 hours each so 4+4=8 hours to make it similar to the exam
@@MalkeAsaad thats tough, i must to try it out
Great video. A slightly out of context Q: Is there a chance for an applicant to match into a Canadian surgical residency as an IMG?
Yes
Almost impossible I think for IMGs. Canada is very hard to enter compared to the US.
@@Bea_22 I personally know an IMG from Syria who got surgery in Canada (at McGill).
@@MalkeAsaad wow. Would it be possible to interview him?
How long the time did you need to prepare from FA and Uworld?
The time varies based on how good is your base and what score are you looking for
Sir passing step1 and step2 with good score what will be chance of matching
There are many other factors to be considered to answer that question. You can schedule a consultation on our website to discuss that one-on-one
