Another episode in the long-running FM22 journeyman series Non-League to Legend sees us taking charge of the first club in this year's journey, Leamington. Will we conquer Football Manager 2022 or add another sacking to the collection? Avoid that midseason slump. Instead of arranging a friendly on a spare weekend, send them off on holiday - they'll return refreshed and ready for the 2nd half of the season
Emma Hayes has been the Womens manager at Chelsea for years now. shes won everything. thats really cool to see shes moving up the mens pyramid now.
In my save she is a manager of Mansfield 👀
She's been in the game for a few years. Seen her at a couple of League One clubs over the years. She's currently top of the National League with Stevenage for me.
@@RacingAtHome she always struggles in my saves. Gets a lot of jobs but also gets sacked a lot

@@tombardsley3081 To be honest after seeing numerous "manager experiments" where either premier league managers get chucked in the conference or a fake manager with 20 in everything gets added to the game and still end up stuck in the conference for decades, I dont think managers make a difference

The player morale AI is even more broken this year than last.
Why not try Andreucci for first few games. Scored many goals last season, maybe he reach max potential
Senior was one of my players who never improved in star rating, but consistently was performing at a 7+ through the National League and League 2 over 4 seasons. I finally found someone who was actually better and sold him back to another National League team so he could continue to start and suddenly he was a 4 star player.
Check Walsall out around October time to see if Emma is still managing Walsall

What I've found with player interactions is that you need to continue after agreeing a price for it to register that they've agreed to it. You don't need to respond immediately to the bid so just continue on to the next day then negotiate.

After starting my own non-league career with Curzon Ashton after only playing for one year as barca i've a whole new appreciation for how you go about signing players. I haven't even played a game yet but no one wants to join me.
Some nice signings Kev !! Jimmy Knowles looks like he could be a very good goal scorer , 10 goals from 12 starts in league 2 and dropping down a division he is sure to be a goal scoring machine good luck in the new season !!
Sometimes it’s the agent who says the price is okay and the player disagrees
Dixon-Bonner is amazing, and became my Bath City Vice Captain in my Non-League to Legend this year (before I ended up moving on). I pretty much used him as the utility man (mainly RB, CM and on the attacking wing roles). He did want to play central midfielder when it came to contract renewal - so keep an eye on that Kev.

I took over at Notts County the previous season (from Kettering), saved them from that relegation, Now top of the league about 6 months behind you. Got a wage budget of 80k and them only spending 40k of it. Easily bought myself out of trouble
Dixon-Bonner has been a legend for me in multiple saves in earlier FMs. His potential has taken a bit of a hit the last 2 years but it's nice to see him in a Kev video :)
Not sure I'd personally ever go for a job where it's highly likely that I'd get sacked within the first year, even if it's an increase in wage and stature. I think you'll end up having to drop back down to a lower league after to find another job and be in a worse place than you would if you can get Leamington promoted
I do hate how unambitious the clubs can be in FM. I had like $600k in the bank after winning a domestic league and an international tournament, but the board still thinks that we shouldn’t upgrade our terrible training facilities.
I had this issue in my bottom to the top Blyth save. Upgrading facilities even at low levels costs hundreds of thousands. I hate how long semi pro clubs take to turn pro. I've had two mid table safe by Christmas nation league seasons and still they insist on staying semi pro.
@@thetalk3916 actually to ask become professional is not optimal as it’s extra overhead costs which kills small reputation club finances. It’s better for you to get promoted whilst still semi pro which then forces the club to become professional
Would that be the same Max Woltman who in recent times had a few minutes run out against AC Milan in real life. I wonder if Kev may have made a blunder of the season by letting such a prospect go? Ps. I'm only tickling your funny bones with this one Kev 🤣

yeah the issue with Maghoma you had, I keep having too. FM is so crap with that this year.
In the negotiations he does not seem to use the amber negotiable trick for percentage of next sale etc.

Started with one just to get a chance to see the game in action, ended up seeing all your fm22 videos. Must say very entertaining and I did have a good laugh now and then:-) Brilliant humor with a good self-irony to it. Just saying keep up the brilliant work, I enjoy it for sure, thanks:-)

RE: Player negotiations, i just decline the offer from the club, and then if i get the email through about being unhappy etc its a lot easier to negotiate. Either tell them we will get promoted or theres a good group of young players coming through, if that dont work, agree a transfer price way above what anyone will pay and it stops the unhappiness. You can see as soon as you click too high whether the player will accept it or not
I'm disappointed in Walsall, not only for us not having a tie you like but also for re-hiring Keates and sacking him again, poor bloke can't get lucky

Player interactions do really feel a bit broken for some reason. I've had players given promises I never made, I've had other issues with the asking price as well where they agree to a price then get mad at the price they just agreed to. Just stumbled on another one where a player wanted to join and their agent said they wanted to join but the end of contract talks immediately broke down and they said they didn't want to join regardless of playing time or promises.
The problem where players complain about an asking price they had just agreed to is a problem SI needs to fix. It's been in the game since the beta, if not before.

IMO - Your squad is looking great now.... but I'm not convinced by the 4-4-2 Kev version you have. If you want to go with 2 strikers consider a 4-3-1-2 Narrow similar to RB Salsberg as wingers do not seem to be as effective in FM22

@@thomasfclc5606 Top flight Domestic League and UCL. That change was made last year when Kev won the UCL w/ Arsenal before winning the EPL.
