Yeah. I agree. Something in between the full Livestream and this would be nice. Also, this video is not long lol... Barely a single cross Stanton jaunt
Makes you really appreciate the delicate nature of your characters situation being so close to the front lines moments from engaging a ruthless and formidable enemy.
Thank you for narrowing down what that variant of that other Bengal could be. Since Aegis is supposed to build the Battle Cruiser, I could see CIG just taking RSI Bengal assets to quickly get a Cruiser together. Looks sweet!
Gotta say it was nice to share a a flight back home with you last weekend. Citizen Con really was more than I had ever imagined it being and I am glad that I got to see it in person.
It's my theory that that the Pegasus is a now retired vessel that was created around the same time as the Bengal and has been replaced with these new light carrier versions of the Bengal that we see on screen.
Ahh, I wonder then if we will ever see em in the verse, or offered as pledgable ships, or if it will end up functioning in a similar aspect as to the Bengal, meaning you need to find wrecked ones and repair em to use em , I also heard, and correct me if I'm wrong, that the Pegasus is meant to be are base ship in squadron 42 chapter 2?
Glad someone is picking up on that. Must've gone over the fleet scene 20 times, figuring out what those ships were. Bengal-Hulls in Battleship configuration is spot on
The lore bits from the UEES Stanton in the Odin system would be very interesting for me. It seems like the UEE has more to fight with the pirates than the Vanduuls in this system, although the Vanduuls are also only 2 jumps (from Virgil) away.
Here is a request, in case youve not done that yet: What historic objects from our time survive in current SC setting ? What Objects from our time (or near future) have become historic objects, such as the Zeus Mk1 ?
I think there is a photo floating around of the two Cruisers, the smaller one is basically a Bengal without the smaller top engines and top half, also missing its large belly guns. The second is totally the same as a bengal, but with three turrets with 2 cannons each on the top. Unknown about the bottom.
This is a fantastic guide for new players, already shot this off to a few friends, very much hope we see much more of these vids, really helps bring everything together.
Those two ships look the same to me. The cruisers. They are just at different angles. You can notice that they have the same base platform and each of them have the two massive turrets on top.
@no1hereisahuman Except they did say the Bengal would be able to be acquired by orgs years ago, there will be extremely small and rare chances you might come across a wreck of one, and through IMMENSE cost and effort, it will be repairable to base non military operational status, but require a very large player count and a huge amount of resources to operate and run.
@no1hereisahuman you are incorrect on that, the bengal is not for sale but it will be flyable for orgs in the game and it will be a persistant location across the instances.
I think we will see it fire its weapons saving the day only to go down shortly after. it would be too powerful or useful to keep around. I hope it is like a giant laser that they use to just cut a kingship in half and casually vaporising a couple smaller hips in its path.
@ADMNtek it's main weapon is a super railgun. It was built from the remains of another super weapon from another alien race (I forget the name), and it uses a kingship reactor to power the railgun
2:30 Given player has already selected character customization during the cutscene, I believe this is not the start of the game. The intro should be player waking up in crew quarter of Javelin, walking into bathroom and customizing your character in front of a mirror, then you go to the window, and seaminglessly transit to this scene
Fallout 4 or Prey style? Perhaps but it's all part of the prelude, which is what Paul was saying from my understanding. It could also be a Mass Effect style character creation before you jump into the action and accidentally see your default character and gender in a random reflection (MY IMMERSION!!!! 😁).
It would probably be a mobile theater of command, similar to how the US divides it's military into it's command structures centered around geographical areas. US.Central Command ect, I am guessing that the "Fleets" are mobile commands, with their own detatchments, based around the Bengal which can support that role.
one thing i am curious about... if you applied to the academy hours before the battle of vega, does that mean we will participate in said battle as a gunner on the gauntlet? and does the story of sq42 focus primarily on the aftermath? originally i thought the story would culminate with us participating in the battle, but that seems to be out if whe hadn't even had our stint in the academy beforehand, no?
Inside the hangar it is being held in place (either mechanically or some sci-fi grav/mag - hold) prior to takeoff with engines at full thrust in an atmosphere. It's meant to evoke a carrier takeoff from a catapult as we have today. Once it is released/catapulted, it is in space in 0G. Obviously, the shaking will then stop.
The Star Citizen lore for current time is still in flux, but I seem to recall that the "respawn" tech needed for an MMO game is supposed to be fairly new in the universe, post the events of SQ42.
Kinda disappointed we didn't get bespoke designs for the presumed Cruiser and Battlecruiser. Looks like it's just a copy/paste with a couple of different parts.
Hi Paul, longtime viewer. Could you make a video of what daily life is like in the UEE cities according to lore? Like what is it like to grow up as a kid in ArcCorp? What is it like to just be an average employee living in New Babbage?
Shot for shot breakdown would be sick!
Agreed
Would love that
Yep, let's see it!
Yeah. I agree. Something in between the full Livestream and this would be nice. Also, this video is not long lol... Barely a single cross Stanton jaunt
Didn't someone do one allready?
I adore the lore for this universe. It gives me so much joy to see actual plot and story in game.
Makes you really appreciate the delicate nature of your characters situation being so close to the front lines moments from engaging a ruthless and formidable enemy.
5:10 Gotta love those Aegis class destroyers. :p
He misspoke. It's actually a Javelin class destroyer, BUILT by Aegis corporation
I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed how neat that letter is as a piece of writing.
God damn, I get goosebumps each time I hear those bagpipes. CIG really know how to make phenomenal cinematics.
those bagpipes give me goosebumbs... thanks for explaining the lore, its always great
They sound great but would hit harder if they weren't synthesized. Greetings from Scotland :)
Thank you for narrowing down what that variant of that other Bengal could be. Since Aegis is supposed to build the Battle Cruiser, I could see CIG just taking RSI Bengal assets to quickly get a Cruiser together. Looks sweet!
Perhaps the lore CIG gives us on it will show the UEE did the same. It would make sense if the timing works out.
Gotta say it was nice to share a a flight back home with you last weekend. Citizen Con really was more than I had ever imagined it being and I am glad that I got to see it in person.
its unforuntae we didnt get any hints of the Pegasus escort carrier, i have been waiting FOREVER to hear more about it

You just made this video presentation mean so much more.

Cool! Do the shot for shot!
Thanks for making these. I love the short ones. I never have the time to listen to the longer capsules and podcasts.
if you are asking about more videos about such and such as you have, Yes!
The lore bits from the UEES Stanton in the Odin system would be very interesting for me. It seems like the UEE has more to fight with the pirates than the Vanduuls in this system, although the Vanduuls are also only 2 jumps (from Virgil) away.
Great Vid. Love these snippets; makes flying through the Verse more Enjoyable to have Historical Context.
✌️😎🚬
THANK YOU PAULLLL. Love the astro pub!!!

Didn't even notice that those weren't Bengals. I just figured they had more than one Bengal in the fleet. Makes sense now.
FYI the Javlin also has a hanger and flight deck. Heck it has its ATC room.
Thank you for the lore videos you do. This has made my day.😊
Awesome video as usual Paul, keep up the great work
Did not know I was going to need to buy the soundtrack before I heard those bagpipes.
Can't wait to see those, at least 6, size 12 ship buster cannons of that cruiser in action.
Are we speaking about the variant of the Bengal during the passage on the 2nd fleet ? The one with 3 turrets, 2 forward and 1 aft. It’s look insane !
An UEE Cruiser/Battle Cruiser? Yes, please. As a USN Cruiser veteran and retiree, I could not ask for more than to captain my own cruiser some day.
Thank you for the video. Yes, I am interested in future breakdowns. I will gladly watch them.
This is a fantastic guide for new players, already shot this off to a few friends, very much hope we see much more of these vids, really helps bring everything together.
Loved this man. Would love more!
They nailed the music!
If you did an hour long deep dive going through the trailer for us, i'd watch it. ❤
Very nice summary :) Nice light carriers in that opening shot too.
Thx Astro. Always a pleasure knowing more

"I rise, I take, I send"? My translation must be wrong then, I thought he just asked for the toilet! :D
Shot for shot breakdown please!
The Bengal platform with huge guns just sounds insane.. definitely the end-game for player orgs/corps a bit like Titans in eve online 🔥💯
@no1hereisahuman yeah it will be eventually 5-6 years 👍🏻
Would be so dope to have triple Size 12 Cannons.

I mean what's stopping people from boarding and taking one if they really want if they are going to be present in the verse somewhere
Finally someone noticed it
They have a bank regulating currency? That’s like Boeing advising the FAA… oh wait.
The cleaver scene isn't from the Battle of Vega II, we've seen that exact location minus Vanduul in previous videos.
Figured it was a chance
yah, the pipes get me too!
Love your videos!
Shot for shot breakdown please 🙂
Im still eager to see the Retribution in action
I think we will see it fire its weapons saving the day only to go down shortly after. it would be too powerful or useful to keep around. I hope it is like a giant laser that they use to just cut a kingship in half and casually vaporising a couple smaller hips in its path.

@@phantomwraith1984 ugh anoter railgun how boring.
More lore..more lore please 😊

Question, what designates a fleet? for instance, if the 1st fleet based in the Sol system, or is it merely a designation for roaming fleets?
It would probably be a mobile theater of command, similar to how the US divides it's military into it's command structures centered around geographical areas. US.Central Command ect,
I am guessing that the "Fleets" are mobile commands, with their own detatchments, based around the Bengal which can support that role.
Great video
There are 3 variants of the Bengal in the trailer.
I think you forgot to put the extra video links in the description. Not that I've missed any of your videos or anything...
I am interested!
Love me some MilLore 😎 Awesome vid 😊 Thank You 🙂
More please! :)
Thanks
You made a slight error there at 5:12 “Aegis class destroyer”.

@@walawala-fo7ds yeah, i get that... thats why i asked if we will participate in the vega battle as a gunner on a javelin turret ;)
@@walawala-fo7ds that would be really weak... cause no way do they put a gunner into a fighter without training
I would like to know where that storm planet takes place
Hell yeah, I want another breakdown! Slacker >_> =) Please & TY!
Somehow 2th fleet looks small. I count arond 20 or so ships, i would think it would have minimal of 50 to max 200. How big UEE fleet is?
I did an whole video on the structure of the UEE Navy which explains that. This isn't likely the full fleet but a portion of it.
MOAR!!!!
i dont think those are cruisers i think those are battleships
We need more videos
If the stars align, I will get this game.
It will be at the very least a year before it is released.
Why does the fighter goes from shaking so much before launch to perfectly still after? Feels add.
Obviously, the shaking will then stop.
i just want tavarin armor for us
i love anything tavarin !
Those 2 ships are the same, just that the turrents are down in the distant 1
Would You Like To Know More?
Do they not have the respawn technology at this point in time ?
The Star Citizen lore for current time is still in flux, but I seem to recall that the "respawn" tech needed for an MMO game is supposed to be fairly new in the universe, post the events of SQ42.
No that is invented in 2950, 5 years after this
Small mistake at 5:00 you say "Aegis class destroyer" in reference to the UEES Gauntlet.
You are the second person to catch that
@@TheAstroHistorianI actually missed it the first time I watched the video, lol.
Your thumbnail is wrong thats not a battlecruiser its a super carrier
🎉
5:10 sorry, but I have to be that guy, you say it's an Aegis Class Destroyer, when it is in fact a Javelin Class Destroyer, manufactured by Aegis😅
Just something I didn't catch in the edit
Kinda disappointed we didn't get bespoke designs for the presumed Cruiser and Battlecruiser. Looks like it's just a copy/paste with a couple of different parts.

4:55 - 15 minutes is not a long video lol
