Is the Drake Caterpillar the largest cargo ship; no Is the Drake Caterpillar the most versatile ship; no Is the Drake Caterpillar fast; no But it it has character, and I hate to say "when" - but when it DOSE finally get a gold pass, modularity, dethatching command module, it is like to be one of the most valuable ships for anyone to have in a fleet; from her basic cargo form, to medical, refining, and support, time only knows what the Drake Caterpillar could bring to the table; but it's likely you could either focus your modularity on a single task, or buy as many models as you can and make it capable of anything at a moments notice. I truly see the Caterpillar being a backbone ship for any small to medium org; where the modularity will only be surpassed by capital ships that are built around a single task. as another "when" I suspect the dual tractor beams are intended to be used together, when the command module can dethatch, it'd be able to fly around to the right side, and direct cargo into the cargo area with vision, while the wing beam can help with moving and lifting heavier cargo, or moving cargo into a better position for the command module. The Cat as it is, is just unfortunately a very old design from the when the game lacked so many of the very basic features we have today, and really needs some love... but I'm gonna be honest, I'm glad RSI ships are getting their work in first, so I know the teams will be better versed in ship design and function when the do get around to Drake, and the Cat; I'm kind of expecting the cat to get a pretty substantial redesign when its time comes.
Yay now I get to see what happened when I had to go lol. I do got to say when I was playing with y’all it was an incredible time I haven’t had this much fun since I first launched the game to play it in 3.17.2 :)
I love the design of the Cat...It could easily be in a movie. I don't get why they don't have any reverse thruster animations though or see where they would originate from!?
