I just got a job with excavation and this video helped me to uncouple and couple up to a new bucket! Boss was at a meeting and couldn’t get a hold of him! This helped out a lot. Thank you
I'm doing a training course for plant and equipment. Second day was today and I learnt how to do this on a hitachi mini. Super fun. Trenching is harder than I thought it'd be
Trenching is still easier than backfilling. But if you're doing big trenches you'll have to bench or slope the sides which makes it more complicated and time consuming. Trenching across a steep slope is also more difficult. You could use the spoils pile to level yourself. You might even have to cut a level road to do your trench.
Thank you so much. This saved us. We were borrowing a 305.5 from a friend and got the bucket stick on the little eye rings (he had a bar welded on). Went through this routine and it popped right off.
nice, i didnt get that setup offered on my 2014 305.5 E mini, cat gave me a fancy 19mm ratchet wrench i have to get out and turn the little cylinder on the coupler
So let me get this strait, you unlock both stages, remove bucket, lock stage 2 (the red thing), put the bucket back on, then lock stage 1? Also very cool how you can put the bucket on backwards!
+Jer Bear Yes correct. 10 seconds after you unlock stage 2 it re-locks its self no matter what. It doesn't have to be unlocked to put the bucket back on. It has a one way spring so it allows the bucket to be put on when it is in the locked position but it doesn't let it fall off.
+RainierMachinery None in the works. We have a 24 and 36" digging bucket, 52" grading bucket with Helac Power tilt and a hydraulic breaker for it already.
sp3ko25 in the Netherlands we use them a lot because we have to move i quit narow spaces. I recomend them but they are ver expensive even for a small machine like yours.
+Andrew Hicks The quality of Bobcats new machines in my opinion is awful. Ill take a Cat any day over a Bobcat. Much better quality and very well thought out machines.
+Blake Budney Track machines are not very good in the snow. You can get snow tracks now for them and that helps a little bit. And yes I plow for another company

I love the pin grabber on my 160. I'd never want to have a machine without one now
+hammerdwn20 I agree. Love this system.

Awesome attachment. Y'all be sure to get the right one. I have a 305e2 with a thumb and the thumb hits my pin grabber 😩

+38Square Haha they still offer that. This is just the hydraulic version for that same system
Can you do a how to video on using the boom and bucket to spin your tracks for a quick turn if that makes since
I have a slow coupler, two manual pins and the desire to get grease on my hands, boots, and jacket......

Did you add the lift shackle or is that a factory option ?
+VideosByAl Added that. The hole the shackle goes through is standard from the factory but you have to put a shackle on it.
how much did you pay for your equipment new stuff
Nice video. I like that system.
+Concrete and Construction Thanks!
between cat or bobcat which one do you prefer
+juniorcosta85 Cat hands down. Much better quality, built and thought out.
+Dirt Ninja I'm going to be investing on some equipment and I wanted to know what I can get for my money
+juniorcosta85 Cat is a little more expensive but you definitely get what you pay for and then some
+Dirt Ninja I'm a small company trying to break into the hardscape business so any info is great info, thank you for your time
+juniorcosta85 Shoot me a private message on Facebook (link in the description of this video) if you want to know anything specific

do you guys plow with your cat ctl?
+Blake Budney We only plow out the shop with it. Thats it.
+Dirt Ninja Oh ok, do you expect much out of the ctl for snow or no because of the tracks? You plow you another contractor correct?
+Blake Budney Track machines are not very good in the snow. You can get snow tracks now for them and that helps a little bit. And yes I plow for another company
+Dirt Ninja Yea thats what ive heard, we just bought a Takeuchi and i am little worried about it plowing. Great vids though!
Blake B takeuchi is terrible in the snow. Maybe try snow tracks, might help a bit
