  • Very rare power tool battery that has Universal Anderson connectors that you can use on Electric Bikes, Electric scooters, and UPS backup power supplies. I will demonstrate it using my UPS power supply. Here's how I modified this UPS (2 years ago) to run on Li-ion batteries: • DIY: Home Made Ultimat...

    Hi, great video! I have the same question as others below. What voltage do you read between black and white connector and black and grey connector? It would help allot! Im trying to convert a bosch 36V to fit my husqvarna saw. Thanks!

    Thanks for this! A battery pack with a universal plug is a real breakthrough since most of them are proprietary and inconvenient. I can't wait to see what you do with this now on your ebike and scooter!
    I'm looking for a 48v battery for an ebike conversion. The Husqvarna would be great but it's only 36v as you pointed out. Do you have any suggestions? I've seen your videos on connecting 2 Lowe's Kobalt 24v's in series but i'm trying to avoid a bunch of MacGuyver soldering (although you do it so well!)

    Hi vuaeco, you clearly know what you are talking about - my husqvarna bli20 has dipped below the chargeable level once and I was able to "bump charge" it up to a level where it started charging again. This most recent season, it won't bump charge up and ever start charging. Any ideas on how I can get it to work again? the batteries are just less than 20 dollars than a whole new trimmer with the battery.

    I agree that this is a very unique battery. It has a lot of potential for other uses. The only problem that I see is that if you were to use it for a UPS, the UPS has a charging circuit for a SLA battery. That has very different charging parameters than that required for lithium batteries. Most other uses such as electric bikes and scooters will have access to using the original charger for this battery. How many Ah does this battery have? Thanks

      This battery has 4Ah capacity. When you use this with a UPS, you don't use the original charging circuit to charge the modded Li-ion battery. It will fry the Li ion battery. You will need to unplug the battery and put it in its Husqvarna original charger to charge it. That's why I already cut the AC input wire from the UPS when I modded it a while back. I wanted to use the UPS as a standalone off-grid DC-to-AC inverter, not as a UPS. If you want to use this as a UPS, I think you may (or may not) permanently attach the Husqvarna charger to it and run the battery terminals directly to the UPS (YMMV, though)! :D

      OK understood. I have seen lithium battery chargers that work off solar, so that concept should work well by using the UPS circuit as a stand-a-lone AC inverter. Let us know when you get that set-up working. Thanks

    Have you done anymore videos with the husqvarna battery?

    Hello. Can you help me. I don't understand purpose pins with labels "1w", "sd" - two internal pins.

    Just the information I needed on the connectors. Do you know what the other two connectors do? I want to power a Ryobi 36v power washer but will use a husqvarna battery like in the video, do I just run the positive and negative?

    Beautiful! Could you please tell me what voltage do you read between black on white connector and black and grey connector?

    Good find! Your the man. Hey im having trouble finding a way to charge a 48 volt battery pack for pedigo bike electric battery. Help me? I have some capacitor s misc boards and chargers

      These ebike batteries are very specific to their own brands. They make proprietary charging connectors. I would open up the battery pack and find the terminals so I can hook it up to a regular charger. A 48V pack is usually between 12S and 14S so you'll need a charger that can charge up to 14S.

    What size Anderson connectors are they? And what are the grey and white connectors for please ?

    • @vuaeco
      @vuaeco  4 роки тому +2

      Regular size, I think. They fit my electric bike Anderson connectors. The white and grey connectors are for balance charging the battery from the charger.

    How much do UPS usually cost?

    • @vuaeco
      @vuaeco  6 років тому

      This one cost north of $200. But I got it for free because the original lead acid batteries are dead. I modded it a while back to run on Li ion batteries. Here's the link to the video: ua-cam.com/video/8zvPMCMvlBg/v-deo.html
