I would have to agree. Mamamoo's is fantastic and they remain my favourite k-pop group but Big Mama are unmatched when it comes to pure vocal power and ability to convey emotions through their voices.

That's exactly how they're described "Vocal Beasts"! They are OG girl group of YG entertainment in 2003. Then changed to MBoat and disbanded in 2012(?) due to poor management. They reunited in 2021 to promote the last song "One Day More" and dropped their 6th album in 2022. They all have great individual voices but sound like one voice when they're harmonizing. They were named Big Mama because of their strong vocals. Left to right: Shin Yeona 50, Lee JiYoung 46, Lee Young Hyun 43, & Park Min Hye 42. Shin Yeona (tallest) is the leader and vocal arranger of the group. She recently got promoted to a Dean position at Howon University where she previously was the Head of the K-pop Dept; two of her former students are members of the BTOB male group. All four members are currently professors in their music departments at different universities and they are described/known as professor idols by fans. The soloist LYH is a lyricist/composer and that song "Resignation" is well-known till today and covered by many and used by other professors who use that song to teach their students about singing. Most people don't/didn't know she wrote that song in college of a break-up with her boyfriend. She locked herself in her room and wrote it in 2 days. She gave birth in May 2023; hence the short break of performances by Big Mama; but rested in time to perform in their 3-day Christmas concert to celebrate their 20th anniversary. She is the most active and just released a solo Killing Voice recently to promote her 3rd Studio album which drops this December 2024. Check it out; she wrote all of the songs. Btw, I loved watching the excitement on your face during your great reaction. You actually have a great "radio/speaking" voice. 🎶😊

One of the member, Lee Young Hyun just did a solo killing voice too which was released last week to promote her upcoming comeback on the 19th of December.
no matter how much i’m biased to other groups, but i will forever rank big mama as the best artist to ever attend and perform at killing voice (this should be an objective statement in terms of the quality they served!)
You should react to DPR Ian! One of his most popular songs is Don’t Go Insane! He isn’t really kpop anymore but he is insanely talented! He writes, composes, and produces his music. Plus directs and edits his mvs! They are insane btw! He gets his ideas from lucid dreams. All his music is based off living with bipolar disorder and dissociative identity disorder (formerly known as multiple personality disorder). He incorporates his alters (medical term for other personalities) into his music and music videos. Sometimes they front and act in the videos and incorporate their own sounds to the song. His song SKINS is only a demo right now but written entirely by Mito the alter that fronts when Ian gets into a depressive state. He blacked out for two days and when he came back the song and mv were done so he released it. It’s about how Mito feels living in Ian’s skin and how it feels to hold all the trauma. I highly recommend getting into his music because he is a one of a kind genius and on his own level! ❤
