A tip to make the track look a bit more realistic, bank it by a plate or two with the outside of the curve being slightly higher than the left to give it the tilting effect... brilliant bridge though!
Just doing a quick statics analysis on this is interesting. The more towers added significantly reduces the loading at the 2 ends. Even just one, though you get diminishing returns with each column added. I would say the trusses on top of the bridge are unnecessary. Adding thickness to the bridge itself will have a greater effect in reducing deflection. I would still recommend keeping the tower in the center as the ends will take a greater loading from the added thickness. This is all assuming that the top member in the truss is basically added to the inertia of the bottom member.
Thanks, I'm more interested in making things that are functional than anything based on realism. My builds just need to be able to support the LEGO trains that are running, so from a LEGO minifigure point of view, they're very realistic.
DunksterBricks What's the name of the Orange and black train set? The white one is cool, but I love the Orange and black train alot! Man,I wish I had enough tracks and space to do something like this in my house! Love the videos and the work,I've subbed too!
AWESOME build i loved watching the trains have wanted to build a Lego city scape and i will one day its great to see ideas like this working Great job hope to see more of your creations thank you for sharing with us
Nice job on the construction. I'm into building bridges myself and i'm working on a huge real working suspension bridge. The pillar quite ruins the entire project. Don't get me wrong it's cool that it worked but have you thought about using an arc above your bridge? The arc would cary the stress over to both sides of the table, the bridge suspension itself would hang on the arc. example: the sydney harbour bridge. Maybe a next challenge sinds you aced this one? :)
+train crashes having two motors helps when the train climbs hills. Some of the layouts I build would be quite challenging for one motor and the trains need more pulling power.
The closest I have are the videos with GoPro ride-alongs. You can see some here: ua-cam.com/video/VzIQuzoMlqk/v-deo.html or here: ua-cam.com/video/3zVSnH-W-uU/v-deo.html
Very unique, also I like your way of having end-to-end power on the TGV, very impressed.
The bridge which you built was very amazing

Even your choice in music is excellent. At 56 I love this!!

The trusses do look way cooler aesthetically speaking :)

Absolutely beautiful. Ps. Love the grammar in this comment section.😂
The comments section and grammar is a match made in heaven :P
WOW Good!!
thanks :)
Awesome video! BTW, what is the cable running through the train for? Is it lights, motors?
Thanks! There are motors and lights at each end of the train, they run off one battery box.
Ok, cool!
Try to do the same thing but train trucks under the bridge and street on top
Great vid but do you have a microphone? You might need one
Can you show how you built this version like you did with the previous one? And the column as well?
I will at some point but I will be focusing on some other project videos and track setups first.
COOL😄
Uploaded on my birthday!
Nice
awesome
*fascinating*
I want trainzzzzz but i cant find any in france
they're available on Amazon and will probably be in the larger toy stores.
+DunksterBricks polish store SMYK Has a few at too big price. 800 zl_200dollars
Del TheDragon toi aussi tes tombé sur le charme des train en lego :D ?
theoxgaming ouai
Del TheDragon why do not you buy in internet
When I played with LEGO, the rails were actually made of metal.
Yeah, the 9 Volt system is not produced anymore and LEGO moved on to the Power Functions solution. The 9V stuff is missed by a lot of people.
i still have a full box of 9V tracks and two motors :D
Der_Dude I still have my 9V system too. I love it,but as he said,they don't make it anymore since early 2000's. 😔
Why not build a suspension bridge? Would be interesting
That would be cool, they are a lot more complicated to build. Maybe in the future i'll give it a try.
I wish I had that stuff, lol.
I wish I had the storage for all this stuff :P
U rule with lego
cheers Kawk :)
lego...is there anything it can't do....:)
We will have to find out :)
Wow!
nice
Where can I find that orange train?
You could probably find it on BrickLink or Ebay. BrickLink would more than likely be the cheaper option.
I luv the horizon expressmwhere can i buy it?
+Adrian The Flame I found BrickLink to have the best prices.
GooD
what is the price of lego train
i’m more impressed with how many rods and bricks he has tbh..
cool ;)
Where do you get the parts when making the bridges and columns
LEGO shop online and Brick Link
How can you made a bridge
Is it possible to build two midle cars from one 60051 set? I assume that is how you got it so long? Did you need any extra parts?
Yep you can, I did this video a while ago on that subject which covers it: ua-cam.com/video/Dlw8ujg1BSU/v-deo.html
I Lif in NederLand
why did you use double motors I only use 1
+train crashes having two motors helps when the train climbs hills. Some of the layouts I build would be quite challenging for one motor and the trains need more pulling power.
i like yours contrucions
thanks :)
Good
Qqq
Add another in the middle
can i ask do you have a drivers cam for lego trains?
The closest I have are the videos with GoPro ride-alongs. You can see some here: ua-cam.com/video/VzIQuzoMlqk/v-deo.html
or here: ua-cam.com/video/3zVSnH-W-uU/v-deo.html
