Thanks for giving me a cameo! Awesome video! You captured the route so well. The afternoon riding with you both was a highlight for my trip. I appreciate you sharing the experience with me and helping me through the pass! Happy future travels!
Wow, you two crushed it! Admiring your skills and that beautiful scenery. Now I’m exhausted from watching all those steep rocky passes. Thanks for sharing!
Just stumbled on your video adventure here. Hats off to you for topping those challenging passes on bigger bikes. The camera never captures just how difficult the terrain is and you both nailed it superbly.
My first BDR was Colorado on a 1200 GSA. Made me rethink my life choices, not sure I even had fun so I appreciate how well you managed those passes. Go pro doesn't do it justice. You are a badass!
This was absolutely amazing, thank you so much for documenting your journey. In 2023 I attempted the CO BDR on my Norden 901 and I got my ass absolutely handed to me on the alpine loop. The rocks were so jarring I couldn't believe it! We ended up getting stuck on Corkscrew pass when it was getting dark and we wanted to head down to Ouray but on the way down my brother on his Africa Twin hurt his ankle and he couldn't ride as well. As a result he ended up going off the embankment on the trails which are pretty high up! The rest of the trip was street unfortunately. I am absolutely dying to give it another shot and conquer it! Next time, I will be on my Honda Transalp which is somewhat a little more managable for me over the Norden. Seeing you guys go through all the parts we were struggling in is so inspiring!
One of the best vids of cobdr I’ve seen. I did this late Sept 2024 solo. About the same routes in 4.5 days. This Sept 2025 I want to enjoy the journey a bit more and share it with riding buddies. I would love to ride with you guys on adv or 300 2s.
Thank you, we really appreciate that! Props for doing CO solo. We’re always down to ride with new friends and have a few rides planned for 2025. If you’re on Instagram shoot us a message @utahtrailslugz so we can stay in touch!
Great video guys. Just so you know the 1100gs receives the same amount of fuel on centerstand or sidestand so no need to deploy the centerstand when getting gas. I thought the same as you for years until i read the manual and began doing my own fuel up tests and i’ll be damned its the same amount. This is also true on the r100’s. Just an fyi.
Great Job getting that big BMW GS 1150 through that rugged stuff, I have the same bike, my hats off to you!. I was thinking maybe taking my Dr 650 instead?. PS I was at that gas stop in Lake City doing the Colorado 500 on Husky 501 in that video.
Haha thanks! The 1150 certainly isn’t light.. your DR would be perfect for that route 🤘 It was pretty wild seeing hundreds of dirt bikes in that little town, looked awesome!
Holy shit, I watch a lot of UA-cam and blown away you guys don't have thousands upon thousands of followers!! I'm surprised. You deserve a lot more people watching your videos. I can tell you both love riding. Two people that should have way more watching are you and SOB!!!! I'm afraid to ride with either!! Hahahah.
We’ve ridden sections 5 & 6 and the north half of section 4 of the UT BDR. Planning to ride the rest of UT this spring. Haha, it’s cool to have followers and get views but we upload videos because we love riding. We just want to share the experience to get other people stoked on riding and we try to showcase the trail so people know what to expect. We’re not very consistent and need to make more time for editing so we can post more often.
Chris testing the water depth was LOVE. Keep this stuff coming! I can see that Chris's bike is a GS1150, but what model is the lady's bike? Maybe you can do a video on the bikes and gear at some point.
Mariah is riding a 2014 F700GS and we both have Mosko Moto Reckless 80L. I’d like to think that we pack pretty minimal but still managed to completely fill the bags for this 8 day trip. We have considered doing a gear set up video and will likely do one in the near future.
Thank you, glad to hear that you are enjoying it! Mariah is on a 2014 BMW F700GS with about 30k miles and Chris is on a 2001 BMW R1150GS with 75k miles.
Any goretex adv gear comes with an expensive price tag, maybe some more so than others.. We agree that Klim isn’t a perfect fit but they really do make some of the best gear out there.
I have several pieces of Klim gear but I bought them used on marketplace for a killer deal. I love their products my point is if you want the good stuff there's ways to make it happen..@@UtahTrailSlugz

Absolutely amazing ride. Thank you for taking us along. Loved every second of it.❤
Started the video and thought, oh great a 2up video, was stoked to be wrong. You 2 crushed it! You both have some sweet skills!

Thank you! If it looks steep on GoPro then you know it’s STEEP, haha. There are some gnarly sections and the camera never does any justice.

Awesome video! Those water crossings were gnarly! Thanks for sharing your journey with us, you guys can ride!

They don’t call ‘em the Rocky Mountains because of the trees
Camping and motel combo seems to be best for civilized trip. When I did CA BDR... lighter packing was a must.
Great video thanks for sharing.

So beautiful, now I want to go back to Colorado!
We definitely need to go back with the dirtbikes to hit some singletrack!
Amazing adventure guys. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! We had so much fun. Can’t wait for the next BDR.
Nice video, nice commentary, and a great ride.
Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching! 😊 Colorado was incredible.
Great video! Thanks! Good call skipping 4 Corners.
Didn’t seem worth the 80 miles of straight tarmac 🤣 especially after the long ride from SLC. Mesa Verde NP was way better!
The water crossing at 30:00 was badass.
You guys are awesome

Subscriber 897 here. It's great that you can do this as a couple. My wife and I do stuff too. It's just more fun!
Totally agree 😊 We have a blast riding together and feel very lucky to share the same passion for two wheels.
Awesomeness

Have you done Utah's BDR? Glad to see a vid pop up from you guys.

@ thanks for the information.
What year make and models are your motorcycles? How many miles on each? I'm only 5 minutes into your video and I love it already.

Nice video, how about a version without the music.
I’m always surprised to see people wearing Klim gear. So expensive and I personally don’t like the fit. But It looks nice!

I hope you get monetized. I was the 1000 subscribe 😅
