lol I bet she lied about the DV (if anything, probably was the one doing it), and I bet she already picked out the good stuff from the storage unit. Why would she pay for the unit for months, while not selling things already? It would have made no sense.
This ruling sucked. Milian was unfair to the plaintiff who she barely let speak. And she was overly lenient with the defendant who lied multiple times, was callous about wanting to profit off of someone who helped her (which delighted Milian for some dumb reason), and came to court with no evidence. Had Milian let the plaintiff speak about the defendant ghosting her, or asked the storage facility questions about when the plaintiff was removed from the account, this would have been very telling.
First she says she paid in cash because they don't accept checks because "you can cancel them or whatever" and then less than 5 minutes later she's claiming she made payments by check. And then saying she doesn't know what HRA is? Big fat liar, it was here that was collecting HRA benefits. Liar, liar, liar.
All the while JM gave the P the blues and didn’t touch on the D’s testimony discrepancy. IMO, JM gave the D for time because she seem to have favored her from the beginning.
Fair judgment. The plaintiff just wants the money cause she can't be bothered with moving it. The defendant lied about making cash payments then said checks. But even if HRA paid it the plaintiff didn't. If the defendant really had been paying it all and it was abandoned I can understand her selling it off to recoup her money because its her credit that would've been in jeopardy. I bet the plaintiff sold off her belongings the second she was allowed into the storage.
I don’t believe this started as an outright scam on the defendants part to gain the property of the plaintiff for profit I feel sure as many of these cases this started to go downhill from lack of communication and or miscommunication that led to bad feelings Happy the plaintiff will ultimately get her possessions back
That’s how I feel. She only wanted to make a profit AFTER the girl was about to lose her stuff. Maybe she took the girl name off, maybe she didn’t but the girl should have went to the place in person. It’s a two month span with no payment. She knew what was at risk.
I mean of course the defendant would have a right to sell the stuff if the plaintiff had actually abandoned her stuff. She literally lied and said she paid $2,100 for the plaintiff. Yet when the judge kept asking her for proof from a bank statement she said she didn't have it & didn't have online banking. She was lying, she only paid $400 something it was confirmed at the end. They're both some scammers. Birds of a feather 😂 The "new manager" just so happens to be looking at "that case right now" 🤔
As a storage manager if a person comes in its put in there name ID has to match the rental. We dont put anyone else as primary. Alot of ppl come in no ID or whatever the reason . Judge is right if it goes in lien status and is auctioned off ( California) after 3 to 4 months of non payments it can affect your credit. We tell ppl this all the time. And we ask are the items your storing yours! Most say yes. So legally its whoever the primary is.
But even if HSA paid it. They paid it on her behalf because of her domestic violence history
The so called friend is greedy . She wasnt there to help but to make money . Greed.
She says she has TD bank but no online banking? Yeah ok sis you’re not fooling anyone 😂. She really tried it and her scam failed miserably.
Home girl said ... "imma give you a week!"
Damn judge ... wow. Scammer.
Well the defendant wasn’t lying she paid for the unit. $490 It was in the update at the end. 16:50
Just run out of the court room when she says, “court is in recess “. Or just stop LYING so damn much!!!
HRA is paying for storage units.. Our money !!!
Lol the defendant loss by lying about HRA payments. Like just say you were trying to steal this girls stuff
She’s funny! “Hello (whomever), try not to faint or wet yourself, but this is Judge M!!” -lol! Oh my, I don’t know who looks more ridiculous, her or Dougie with his nutty questions like “do you understand you lost!! You get nothing!!! (Or whatever the silly question is!) 😮😂
She never said that stupidity what is your problem.
She/he didn't drink the kool-aid like YOU obviously did. @@marilynwillett804
Defendant is a liar
😆😆😆Milian needs to get over herself.
@@marilynwillett804 - uh, it’s called “sarcasm”, ever hear of it? Oh and she never said “don’t be nervous or anything, but this is Judge Milian” -that’s what I was joking about!! Geeze, get a sense of humor! Sooo, I guess my question to you is: what is your problem??
Defendant is clearly lying. It’s easy to log on to your bank to show charges.
The judge usually says if the defendant doesn't have any proof they lose but in this case I can't believe that she's actually giving her a chance to prove her case at another time...
Well we know why! She just doesn’t want to easily allow the plaintiff to win her case SMDH. She ALWAYS makes it difficult for some! ALWAYS!
She doesn't like giving black women large amounts of money. Idc. I said what I said. I honestly tried to not see it. But she does it every time
She wasn't making the payments at all she just got the call when the storage went into default because it was in her name and tried to take advantage and sell that woman's things without calling her to let her know what was going on. A scammer that's watched too much Storage Wars
The nerve of this woman. She’s/abandon her stuff.
lol I bet she lied about the DV (if anything, probably was the one doing it), and I bet she already picked out the good stuff from the storage unit. Why would she pay for the unit for months, while not selling things already? It would have made no sense.
The plaintiff just wanted the money at this point. She didn’t expect the judge to resolve it.
Blackie chocolate didnt pay nuttin😅😅😅
Facts! Lol
That defendant know she lying!!
I agree and to top it off she tried to get the plaintiff to reimburse her for money she didn’t pay. So a liar and a thief in my book.
@@cindymann3673 I don't think she favored the D at all! I think she was toying with her like a cat does a mouse
She stole and sold some of her stuff
yep, the defendant is greedy and a scammer
Never let someone put your name on their stuff / bills. It's nuts. You're just asking to get screwed 😂
What’s crazy is that when her man was supposedly beating her which was probably another lie she let her stay with her
Name one "sistah" that doesn't claim to have been in an abusive relationship? It's NEVER them!
"You put the "rage" in storage". 😂
What a "friend...."
Hurt people hurt people 😢
can't trust anyone in NY period ..
not true, there are many exceptions but definitely do not trust any trump
Defendant about to look stupid when she come back
WOW she was greedy and blatantly lied. Unreal. People these days always trying to get something for nothing
Don’t understand why JM gave the defendant time to get proof she paid after she lied about the hra pymts🙄
Defendant trying to get money from plaintiff with funds paid by the welfare dept. Smfh! Messy!
greedy defendant…..definitely not a friend
I don’t believe this started as an outright scam on the defendants part to gain the property of the plaintiff for profit
I feel sure as many of these cases this started to go downhill from lack of communication and or miscommunication that led to bad feelings
Happy the plaintiff will ultimately get her possessions back
Agreed that defendant is a Weasle
That’s how I feel. She only wanted to make a profit AFTER the girl was about to lose her stuff. Maybe she took the girl name off, maybe she didn’t but the girl should have went to the place in person. It’s a two month span with no payment. She knew what was at risk.
“That’s another case!”
I have no doubt the items were picked over.
I still don't think the Plantiff paid and let it go into lien.
You could see the defendants soul leave her body when he confirmed the HRA was making payments
The defendant has most likely picked through the unit.
Wow😮,so the defendant did win her case.
So nice to see 3 sistas in the court with natural hair ❤❤😊
While dicking the plaintiff 😂
Dear black people...why does EVERYTHING have to be about hair???? 😅
@@a.konadu4010 Because of your fake WIG obsession! Every other race is proud of their hair. The very same hair YOU covet! Get it??
At least that defendant is very honest
I mean if I had to pay 1000+ ofcourseee I’m selling that shit are u kidding me
I mean of course the defendant would have a right to sell the stuff if the plaintiff had actually abandoned her stuff. She literally lied and said she paid $2,100 for the plaintiff. Yet when the judge kept asking her for proof from a bank statement she said she didn't have it & didn't have online banking. She was lying, she only paid $400 something it was confirmed at the end. Government assistance paid the rest. The defendant's plan the entire time was to lock the plaintiff out of the account, make it look like she abandoned the stuff so she could sell it.
I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT THIS LADY LET HER GO FIND EVIDENCE N THE FACT SHE ADMITTED TO TRYNA GET PROFFIT BUT THE JUDGE IS teLLING HER TO SUCK IT UP
“That’s ok, I’m going to give you time” the judge says in singsong voice as did the spider to the fly….
The defendant is not somebody you would ever have as a friend - she stayed in the other woman's' apartment & then tried to take advantage of the storage situation.
How does the state pay for storage smh
So,the Plaintiff is a Flight Attendant and the GOVERNMENT,aka TAXPAYERS are paying her storage bills?...really?......UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!
By 3:04 , you realize that neither one of them will give you a simple straight answer!
So he just happened to be looking at that account
