travel capsule | how to pack carry-on only for 2+ months in europe

- hi! today i'm sharing my travel capsule wardrobe and how I packed for spending 2 or 3 months in europe during spring time and into early summer 🌸
as a minimalist down to my spirit, I packed for living abroad all in carry on luggage only: (1) small size carry on suitcase + (1) personal bag that goes under the seat = (1) minimal travel system
what you pack has everything to do with your situation (climate/activities/other outside factors like if you have kids!) so I hope you take what I packed more as general inspiration to minimize and create your own personal packing list :)

FAQ:
how tall are you: 5'7"
how often do you do laundry: while traveling, I do laundry once per week. I wear tops at least 3 times and pants at least 5 times before washing
did you move or are you on vacation?: we're temporarily living abroad (working, schooling, renting, etc :)
how do you bring full-size products on a plane?: liquids generally have to be under 3oz to travel in the plane cabin with you. my products aren’t full, so no one has stopped me putting them through security. But you can of course always check your bag even if it’s a small one like mine 🙃 no filling travel containers and no problem on trains and road-trips
Happy exploring 🌸

So good! I did the same thing when travelling. Before i went, i used to be so focussed on putting outfits together, but going overseas for so long, i just wore the same outfits on repeat, but i didnt mind because it made getting ready so much easier and made me enjoy life and travelling rather than focussing on what i looked like. It also saved so much space in my luggage physically and also mentally with less stress!
So well said!! I’m mostly function over trendiness but it’s good to keep things you feel good in 💓
Annie, love this video and love the version you filmed with Mila as well! Guess it's time to see what Morgan packed for your trip abroad to complete the series. I know you've mentioned he's super stylish as well 🙃Would also LOVE to see a breakdown of what's in your backpack!
I was trying to figure out how to pack for a longer trip in just a carryon and your video helped out sooooo much! Thanks for the tips! 🥰
Annie, I love to watch you, it's great showing that a travel with only few clothes is possible! A year ago I would not have thought that I can live with few clothes, and today I have only 35 things in my wardrobe 😌
you bring such peace, I watched your vlogs twice, I have more motivation later, but it's great that you show real life and nothing is fake and I really appreciate it, and then I notice that my life is also great, even though it is calm and normal 🌸🙂
🥺 that means so incredibly much. And this is a very sweet reminder for me too, to appreciate the simple moments still. I wish we could always realize how beautiful the moments are while we’re in them.
Love your video! Even though it is a longer trip, you only packed what you would use. Have a great trip!
Obsessed with your vids, really love them a lot!
I love your style! Your channel is great and super helpful 😀
Loved everything! Your style is amazing. Keep up the good work! Sending lots of love 💕
Adore your videos Annie! Watched one and had to check out everything else.
This was a super helpful video! Thanks for making it 💖
You might find packing even easier if you used the compression side for soft things like clothing that can be compressed, instead of shoes and toiletries, that side also has the handle bars so it helps to put soft items on that side too that can mould around the bars.
Lol omg you’re so right 😂 I think my toiletries bag didn’t fit in the other side but I’m determined to puzzle it out better! Thank you 💓
You’re soo pretty! I love your style
Loved this video! Thank you, Annie!
cool video, it really reminds me of my Voicely friends. It makes me so relaxed after talking to them.
Annie, you are always so helpful! Love it
🥰 means so much thank you
Amazing!! I’m so glad I found your channel. Your style is perfect! I haven't looked but I hope you posted links, just makes it so much easier for me. 😁 also I would like to see your shoes in future videos if possible, that's always hard for me!
Thank you!!! 💓💓
Loved this video and found it very useful thank you! 💓
Good to have u back. Hope you’re enjoying Europe🥰
🥰 thanks my love
Love this Annie! Happy to see the uploads too! Honestly, all your content is amazing but I’m interested in your jewellery either everyday or the whole collection. Maybe when you’re back home though? Xx
She has a video on her jewelry collection!
Thank you my love 💓💓
Love this video and your vibe! Where is your personal item (backpack) from?
Really love your clothing style. Hope you do more video and keep up the good work.
Thanks soo much 💓
3 mo. in a carry-on! I'm impressed. Would you make an outfits video for this capsule? It must be difficult to film and edit in new environments, while also working your 9-5, mothering and homeschooling, AND trying to find time to actually enjoy the places you're visiting... hope you're getting enough sleep and taking care of yourself, Annie!
Thank you so much 💓💓 obviously I’ve been falling to pieces lately lol but appreciated this commented a million
Timely video as I'm about to go on a (way shorter) trip next week! Good job with the video & appreciate you trying to upload even when you're pooped lol
Ah yay I’m so excited for you!! Thank you so much 💓 I really appreciate you!
Love the video! Thank you for all the good tips. I didn’t find the link for the toiletries bag, could you share it with me please?
Love the toiletry case, but curious how you manage full size products with only carry on luggage? Mine always force me to check a bag and looking for how to avoid that!
No way to avoid that on planes unfortunately. Love this bag for traveling on trains and road trip but still and to check it on the flight here!
hi Annie! Ill be going abroad for 5 months so this video is so helpful
Annie you are my most favourite youtuber in the world and I really really enjoyed watching your vlogs so so much you inspired me so so much and I wish you reach 20K Subscribers very very soon!💖💖💖
Hi mansoor 💓💓💓 do you want the everyday life vlogs back? Appreciate you 💫
@@hiannieem yes I want everyday life vlogs🤗🤗💗💗
@@mansoor3159 I’ll work on one this week then. Xoxo
Annie!!😍 I’m so always impressed by people and carry ones🤪daunting for me!, Great tips. How did u pack for Mila? A possible tour of the town you’re in? Hugs to you & fam!🥰
Hahaha 🤣 I’m total opposite I sweat just carrying around a carry on! Ooh good question! I think I could make that work as a video. Thanks so much Lin, all the love 💕
This is so helpful, thank you! I'm going to Europe in September/October and this video helps so much. I don't wanna have to check in my luggage and worry if it's going to make it to point B lol
Great video thanks for sharing.
Thanks Michelle ❤️❤️
love your videos but just curious how do you pack such a large toiletry bag in your carry on, I would think you couldn't get that through TSA with the liquid restrictions etc?
Where is your white linen blouse from?😻
If traveling somewhere from London they WILL stop you for a security check and if you have full sized liquids, even if the bottles are not full, they will toss them. Seen it happen MANY times to others in security and even once happened to us when I accidentally packed a shampoo bottle in my carry on. Since it wouldn't fit in the clear bag for liquids, it was thrown away by security. YMMV, but I wouldn't take the chance, especially if it's something that you don't want tossed.
They allow all those full size bottles?
👍👍👍
can you please make a video with outfit ideas for office outfits? I have no idea what to wear :/
One day when I go back I’d be happy to 💓
Salut-really useful . ;)
Do you have a work out routine or a special diet? You are so fit! 😍 Any tips?
Thank you! I think mostly genetics more than a routine, but I do generally try to eat balanced /cook at home, and get outside to do whatever activities I find fun (hiking walking yoga whatever!)
Love the video! What’s in your personal bag?
Omg I completely forgot about doing this! Hot mess express lately but thank you for reminding me about this part 💓
@@hiannieem Hi! Did you end up doing this? I would love to see it please!
How do you feel most airports are towards liquids when it comes to carry-ons? I'm going on a trip super soon and am doing a first for me which is a carry-on and personal bag combo and am nervous about the allowance
In most European airports was pretty easy! 3oz is standard but when my bigger products were not full they didn’t give me issue either. Much more trouble with tech!
Was there anything you found that you packed and didn’t need?
dont understand how you can take full size toiletries (more than 100ml) as carryon
Where in europe do you stay? I live in northern germany and it's so cold for may this year. I feel cold like all the time and have to wear wayyy more layers than you. Don't you get cold wearing just a little top and blouse? I'd freeze myself to death:D currently 13°c outside, i am wearing a woolen Tanktop, a t-shirt, a chunky cardigan and jeans and when i leave the house i need a padded jacket and a scarf :D
She’s from New York so she’s used to cold but also coming up it will be warmer everywhere. She posted pics from Italy and it wasn’t too cold there.
@@aidasa3791 i should be used to the cold, too but somehow i am not XD i am born here but i am not ok with this climate :D
Haha oh no I can imagine!! I’m in Italy now and some days I’ve still worn practically all my clothes at once, while other days I’ve been in a sports bra all day! Hoping for some summer weather for ya 😘
It’s carryon but you can’t take so many liquids in carryon luggage, like all the shower products etc.
Cool video. However that washbag (with all those liquid products) would never be allowed in your carry-on, not in Europe at least. Checking in your bag would work though.
totally get it (I didn’t have full products jsut full sized) but important point!
If you're putting full size items in the toiletries bag, don't you have to check the luggage? The 3-1-1 rule only allows for 100mL bottles or less in carry on.
If they’re over 3oz, yes you would have to check the bag! My products weren’t actually full so it was ok, but important point!
