  • I talk through the carrying potential of DPS if you can put yourself into the right position to win; even in outnumbered fights.

What brought me to your channel and has kept me watching is how much you talk through you thought process. It has made me a way more thoughtful OW player. Thanks!

I love this video. I really like that you go deeply into your thought process. It helps to expand the way I think about the game because I'm not just limited to my own (limited experience) input. I plan on reviewing my games using similar techniques that you teach in videos like this, so thank you for taking the time to make these!

I struggle so much as a DPS. I kinda needed this. I don’t know why the rank difference is so big between my DPS and tank/supp rank

On defense I usually play very safe because I consider dying too quickly as a blunder. But this season I got hard stuck on plat, at this rank I feel people are way too aggressive for no reason. They don't want to play slow with me, and our tank is hard feeding. It's really frustrating. At 11:03 I wouldn't pop high noon there because I knew their Ana has los on me and might easily sleep my high noon and get me killed. Am I avoiding risk too much?

Taking risks is always relative to the situation. This situation felt tense and I had to pop off or we'd lose the fight so I took the risk. I did fire a shot at the Ana that caused her to take cover (it would have been better if it connected), and I knew there were people low enough that I could get a kill before sleep hit me. You can see the sleep dart fly by me at 11:05 so it was a very small window to get it off.
RE: being aggressive for no reason, watch the replay from their POV. It's possible that they see an opening that you don't; as a general rule move at the pace of your tank. If they're playing fast you need to play fast with them. Your tank is in the same rank as you for a reason; I doubt they're *always* feeding, or otherwise it's actually a problem with *you*. If every tank you play with is feeding then it means you're not playing off of them enough and instead trying to play your own game.
