We have FF aircon in our adria compact - only use in Europe when its over 26 or 27 - we dont have to use it often - did Germany and Lake Constance in July and didnt need it at all as it stayed under 27 and with little fans we were fine as was our dog - but boy we needed it at Lake Garda when it was 33 degrees for a whole week! Loved the coverage! 😊
Great video once again guys. Thanks for lettings us be part of the trip. You should have used the "Bent Awning" sections to give you some shade when camped!! Europe is just too hot in summer to really enjoy it. That statement about showering and 5 mins later needing another shower,,,,,thank god we never get that in ireland! Cant wait for the next video. Thanks.
Great video again 👏 Just an FYI for future visits to Bodensee, the car/passenger cross lake ferry is about €6 one way (Car+2 passengers in 2022). We took our Cali from Konstanz to Meersburg on it and it saved a bit of a drive around the lake 😊
So similar to our holiday at the same time....after Lauterbrunnen we were on Camping Gohren south of Friedrichschafen, do not recommend at all.v expensive, full of mosquitoes and a swampy access through trees to a log laden lake...not at all pleasant so we didn't get our canoe out. Cycling was good though! Think we'd stay away from the lake next time, and book a site as so busy. From there we did Bruges then ferry home!
What a fantastic trip, thanks for sharing it with us. Any plans to visit the NEC show in October, we are looking forward to it VW wise to see what's on offer
Have enjoyed seeing the bigger van and how it worked. Still no regrets over the Cali? Would you consider an aircon in van solution do you think? Wave 2? Or a van modification?
Still no regrets here! Loving the Sven a lot. We might consider aircon for the van but we don't have any roof space left for fixed one other than replacing a roof window which we don't really want to do. A portable unit like the Wave 2 might be an option at some point.
@@CampervanTimewe’ve bought the wave 2 before we’ve even got our larger van 😂😂(Columbus 600d with pop top on order). There was a super deal a couple of weeks ago. Been using it in the house so far. It’s very good. Glad to hear you’ve no regrets. Our van should arrive by end of year all things being well
Well there's a story... We are VERY lucky to have a friend of a friend who made it for us, including custom making the 3d printed brackets it needs etc. If you pop on the Sven Hedin Facebook group you can see more about it. He *might* be persuaded to make another... maybe....
Brilliant series, you clearly put the Sven through his paces (did you decide on a name)? For additional sun shades, we recommend #Cysgod awning shades, handmade to order by a small company in Wales. They do them for all sizes of campervan awnings. We have a set of three, front and two sides to use weather dependant, similar to the set you had from Outwell, I think for Whypsy 😀🐾🚐❤️ xx
Loved the trips.
We had to use our Outwell awning shades at Ferndown near Bournemouth in August to keep out the sun.
I hope you visited the museum in Ypres amazing war stories to listen to and so much info on war cemeteries.
Really enjoying your lake series. Looks like a great holiday. I like it when you show more cooking in the van

This was exactly why we bought the awning sections, CamperJam was the weekend after we got back from this trip 😄
Thanks for sharing, beautiful trip! Glad the van is great xx
Really enjoyed watching this trip. We were in the Konstance area cycle touring in July it’s a stunning area.

Yep we'll be there, just not sure which day yet :)
Oh btw, Peggy pegs are brilliant, you will need a battery drill though
Hi, can you please let me know what make your bikes are? Thanks 😊
They’re both Brompton’s - Sarah’s is the electric and Will’s is the standard
Great travelling with you on mostly our old haunts too
What happened to your triangle shades you brought from the festival
Zip together ones ?
The festival was the weekend after we got back from this trip 😃
@@CampervanTime ok my mistake shows I’m following you guys thanks for your great content

What a great trip. Did you get the small side table made or did you buy it? I have a Columbus and would save taking out the large table.

Hey could I ask how long your trip was?
Sure, the whole trip inc a night in Dover before we caught the shuttle was 16 nights

We have Cysgod shades. Brilliant!
Yes we have named the Sven now... we'll reveal all in due course!
