@@michaozga7825 i really dont think u realise how strongly dependent our vocal chords are on warmup. Hitting a whistle note like that without anything beforehand would be near impossible, and it certainly wouldnt be pretty for any "normal" human.

I thought that either Alessandra or Kariija (Finland - 'Cha Cha Cha') should have won, but I'm glad they both did really well. Myself my sister and friends in Ireland voted for Norway and Finland, and our friends in Scotland voted for Norway too. We really liked Moldova, Israel, UK and Switzerland too. 💛

I absolutely LOVE that you were dancing along to the song and softly singing. Like you couldn't stop yourself from moving and singing along. But at the same time, you sang low to keep from interrupting or messing up the orchestra.

A: Yes I am really enjoying myself here!
I: How was it for you lately?
A: I have had such a great time and enjoyed myself. Imagine also getting back for May 17th celebration, with sunshine and everything.
I: We are so proud of you, coming home with a fantastic 5th place, the best in 10 years! ..and it was really morally a 3rd place
A: Haha, let's say that yes/
I: What was the best thing about participating in Eurovision?
A: I think the best part is really my team - we had such a great time together. They are the best! Also, the adrenaline from the experience.
I: What were you most worried about?
A: I think it was my voice - after the semi-final I had to take a vocal rest, no talking for two days!
I: That must have been hard!
A: Tell me about it! I love talking! I sort of got around it, being Italian, using gestures and sign language, but the team had a hard time at times.
I: It went, ok with the boyfriend though?
A: Yes, with texting and body language. In Italy of course we are very used to that. Also my grandmother came from Italy to Liverpool, my dad and brother as well and they understood everything in sign language.
I: Well, now you are here for Norway's constitution day. Did you know about this, growing up in Italy?
A: Yes, sure I always knew about it.
I: But you never celebrated it?
A: Some years we did celebrate it at home, with cake, flag outside the house etc, but of course not like here. No day off school there etc.
I: Have you ever been here in Oslo for May 17th?
A: No, never, so I am really looking forward to it! Seeing the parade with all the children etc.
I: Of course here it is important with marching bands and choirs. One of the oldest and most prestigious marching bands is Kampen Janitsjarorkester, and they have a surprise for you!
A: Oh no, not another surprise??
I: You ready?
A: Of course!

A: What a great surprise! Now I'm very happy! So nice!
I: Now it really is May 17th!

I have a genuine question. Considering she grew up in Italy, how is her Norwegian? Can some Norwegian tell me? Is it perfect, or can you hear it's her second language?

It's like Norwegian with Italian accent. She speak way better Norwegian than most immigrants & 2. Generation Norwegians in my opinion. She's fluent in Norwegian, nothing necessarily wrong in grammar, just a very audible Italian accent. I would say 8/10
What Master KnutA said, but sometimes she expresses herself in a way a Norwegian who grew up here wouldn't. She also makes some minor mistakes, like with grammatical gender (we have three).
Thank you! I'm glad she is good at it, considering she speaks perfect Italian, is fluent in English and can also speak some Spanish (and some Swedish I guess).
Her Norwegian is pretty much fluent, so obviously she have grown up speaking Norwegian aswell in everyday life. But she has some accent that shines through. Her Norwegian reminds me of someone I know of that is Norwegian but moved to Spain and lived there since many years, so when she speaks Norwegian you can hear how the Spanish language have influenced her 'tone'. So Alessandra sounds like a native Norwegian/Italian speaker who grew up in Italy. If it makes sense 😅.

Jeg trodde det var bare de som jobber på TV. Jeg trodde de spilte din sang fordi alle i Norge elsker din sang, men jeg så ikke at du var der. Da jeg sendte videoen til min datter for å fortelle henne at de spilte din sang, sa min datter: "Mamma, det er Alessandra der på videoen". Og da var det for sent, du var ikke der lenger. Jeg følte meg så frustrert da jeg var så nær og at jeg gikk ikke til den andre side for å se deg bedre. Senere, da jeg så på NRK, så jeg at vi kan se meg bak der mellom deg og tv dame.
