That was very helpful. I have just found out I have something deficient with my immunoglobulins and am trying to find out what may happen to me. Thankyou.
Are there any risks that 1/ the infused immunoglobulin aggregate in the recipient's blood stream? If that is the case, is there a risk of blood clotting as a consequence of the aggregation? 2/ Will the recipient immunity system generate antibody against the infused immunoglobulin? 3/ In the preparation process of immunoglobulin, what are the impurity proteins which may trigger the clotting process within the recipient's blood stream? How do you remove these proteins?
