The T-bucket driven by Cruzer was owned and built by Bill Roland, a well-known hot rodder in So-Cal. That car was powered by a nail-head Buick engine sporting six Stromberg 97 carbs and it was featured in and adorned the cover of many hotrod magazines back in the 50's. Roland appeared in that movie handing the microphone to the radio announcer.
Wow, never heard of this show and I used to watch a lot of TV. I was seven years old when this came out, surprised I missed it. Enjoyed watching it. So different from today's world!
yeah, i was 7 yrs old when this came out also. not the kind of movie i would have went to back then, as i my parents would decide that; but they are fun to watch in retrospect.
As someone who listens to a lot of old time radio and watches old movies I'm always amazed at how much slang we attribute to being modern is actually quite old. "Don't get shook" actually goes back to the late 1800's while most people probably attribute it to modern rap music. That's quite common.
The building at the very beginning is the City Hall of Burbank, California. God, what is the walkie-talkie? It's HUGE! Malts are only 19 cents. Awe, the good old days when the owner information was always around the steering column. I remember it well. Where did the dog come from the the bull dozer came in?
I remember my days back in the 60s when I was in a gang, we'd do just like these cats. We'd put on our white shirts and our ties and menace the town. Nothing scarier than a bunch of hoods dressed in sharp clothes and ties. LOL
PIZZA FLIX: Sending you a big ALOHA from Hawaii. Thanx “mahalo” for the movie. I downloaded it and sat in the Dr’s office watching. It was better than reading magazines or watching the NEWS channel on tv ( I don’t know why he always has the TV in his office on CNN). Hmmmmm???? I said I was going to ask him about it, but I was so glad when they finally called my name to see him, it completely slipped my mind. Oh well, next time.
Seems like even crime was VERY different back then. Today you are lucky they don't kill you while stealing the total car with you in it ! One thing has not changed.....detective still wear suits , hats and ties ! Why do think that is ?
I learned to turn wrenches in the 90s as I was sent into car lots to strip parts. Different scene, same type of thrill. Still a gearhead to this day. Keeping it legal.
First the beautiful Buick Invicta , then suddenly their torching an old wreck. Second, kicks in full wheel aluminum hubcap, then when guy drives away standard hub cap not kicked in. The girl was gorgeous.
I noticed that too, but then just figured they weren't going to wreck a sweet Buick - it wasn't in the budget. lol I'm also not sure how that middle aged guy got that hot blonde.
Got this movie from Auto zone thought it was in color this one is cleaned up mine was choppy and had lines in it just a B rated movie thanks for sharring
See all those cars in junk yard? Well, they've all by now undoubtedly undergone a frame off/rotisserie restoration and are now every year at Lead East every labor day at parsippany NJ long with like 2000 other cool 50's rides. Everything old today is new again in the world of 50's early 60's cars...
It seems like back then People would just get all their teeth pulled. It must have been much cheaper then. My Parents had no teeth before 40, and Dad made 50$ a week.
Been there done that. The difference we had chop shops. Nothing to be proud of but ....you do what ya have to do without hurting people. Yea I know insurance but the insurance people just had an excuse to raise your rates. The days of real cars. Today I just have a 77 vet.
The song at 46:07 is worth the price of admission.... this is a real hip 'ol flick daddyo o oooooh's... the coolest man... vitamin a b c d.. who cares .. this is an A out of the B's
32:42 the car that’s turned on it side here looks like the same car from the first chop. It’s also a different color from the white one they dragged in. News reports on stakeout? 🙄
Dem Choppers do alot damage to them cars out in broad daylight ridiculous teen amateurs guess they want trouble.there is episode tv series chiips exactly same subject an idiotic methods.its funny how after flipping victim car leave scene. Arch jr looks like andy Garvey on little house prairie..its not a bad movie seen worse music is good best an worst acting and editing are very end girl friend in hot rod reaction is PATHETIC acting painters drunken acting is academy award winning!!! Chop on!!! thanks for posting
I was thinking about something when I saw that car being stripped, the closest I was to being a Victim of something like that was one time I drove Home from work to eat lunch at Home, I went out to My Car to get My Monster (energy drink) and the wheel covers on the drivers side were gone. When I was done eating I went back out to go back to work, and the other 2 on the passenger side were gone!
The Viet Nam conflict sort of ended this kind of frivolity at least on some level, did it not? Another feather in the cap of the Democratic party's ongoing foreign policies. Sadly this kind of tripe records America's last gasp of innocence.

How cool to know Thomas Arnold. Thanks for info!
" This is Dan Mathews, Highway patrol, .........yes we'll keep our eyes out for a hot rod and a big chicken hauling truck."
you'll probably like this hot rod from the Real McCoys: ua-cam.com/video/uREdVWxgyAM/v-deo.html
the t-bucket in this film was built by tommy ivo not bill roland.
Arch Hall Jr.was in a lot of movies, most of them produced, written, and directed by his father,Arch Hall sr. They are all watchable.
Wow, never heard of this show and I used to watch a lot of TV. I was seven years old when this came out, surprised I missed it. Enjoyed watching it. So different from today's world!

Great movie and dig the cool music!! Thank you PizzaFix!
Music by Al Pellengrini
-Dig the sleek 59 Caddy the reporter gets in at the beginning. Just 1 of the 50s coolest rides, along with Cruiser's rockin hot rod.
Much more enjoyable to watch than the crap coming out these days!!! Thanks!!!
You mean you don't want to watch preachy Hollywood twats pretend to be superheroes for the dozenth time?
Now here is a movie almost anyone can sleep through!

Two lines from Treasure Island surprised me. Long John Silver was tricked out. And, Ben Gunn was fly.

Yes, malts were only 19 cents but wages were only $40 a week.
Cheesy. Loved it.
Cheese is the best. The #1 Velveeta being the most golden of all !
I remember my days back in the 60s when I was in a gang, we'd do just like these cats. We'd put on our white shirts and our ties and menace the town. Nothing scarier than a bunch of hoods dressed in sharp clothes and ties. LOL
Ya, we did the same thing, except we wore white sheets and hoods.
It's worth your time to watch .😁
Thanks man, this was way cool.
This is a cool movie, love it in 2021!
"Them boys will steal your radio and the music will still be playing !"
~Uncle Si Robertson
I was born in 1960, I remember when I was about 9, or 10, people called the police " Fuzz". I just heard those guys call that police man that.

Everything old today is new again in the world of 50's early 60's cars...
Don't understand why the guy is using a Blow Torch on the Bootlid, just unbolt the damn thing, then it will still be useable?
movie was shot by dipwads...that's why.
Those chickens are now implicated in a crime.
Ridiculous. This is over fifty years old now. The statute of limitations.
He is very good at being very bad.
Dangg good
I prefer Hall Junior's other cinematic contributions, Eegah or The Sadist, but this works in a pinch.
"The Sadist" will put you on the edge of your seat. Saw it at the drive in during the 1960's.
Thought he looked familiar. An MST3k classic 😂
i like when the girl screamed now that lol
Arch Hall jr-" Sorry about my face"
Love that the tow truck driver didn’t bother to put his teeth in. Ahhh those were the days.
It seems like back then People would just get all their teeth pulled. It must have been much cheaper then. My Parents had no teeth before 40, and Dad made 50$ a week.
Don't be a don't 🐝 or, a Torche's pops!
Arch Hall Jr is the MAN!
Odd but really good flick. Those kids got chutzpa.
The good old days punk
Been there done that. The difference we had chop shops. Nothing to be proud of but ....you do what ya have to do without hurting people. Yea I know insurance but the insurance people just had an excuse to raise your rates. The days of real cars. Today I just have a 77 vet.
Thats a rare 1954 Kaiser at the beginning of the movie. The horror!
I got mad when James bonds astin Martin got destroyed in sky fall like it’s a piece of history why did you have to destroy it like that
Arch Hall Jr creamy goodness
The song at 46:07 is worth the price of admission.... this is a real hip 'ol flick daddyo o oooooh's... the coolest man... vitamin a b c d.. who cares .. this is an A out of the B's
'the meat wagon's on it's way!'
Good Movie
Cop says he won’t make it home for dinner on account of his big case of the day: a chopped car on the side of the road? People actually believed this?
I'd like to know who composed the soundtrack for this movie, any leads people?
32:42 the car that’s turned on it side here looks like the same car from the first chop. It’s also a different color from the white one they dragged in. News reports on stakeout? 🙄
I was going to leave a like but it's at 555
Oh Arch Hall, Jr won't you give up your life of crime and be mine all mine, Valentine?
This was a great time to be a boy...
I was only 3, but growing up next to a car cemetery, I can guess any 60s car by smell 👃 🚙
remember how cars from the 50s smelled?? They say it was formaldehyde
What fresh kids! I think they're hopped up on goofballs! What is this world coming to?
Contact lenses in 1961? Up here in Canada I never heard of them until mid 1970's
This is an awful film but I really enjoyed it.
I disagree
He needs to tune his guitar when he plays around 47:00 it really shows its off key especially when he goes down the neck

Thanks for watching PizzaFLIX. May the Sauce be with you.
The chickens were part of the gang. They used to be honest, but ran a fowl.
Lee van Cleef as the radio guys assistant
Love these old 50's thug and sci-fi movies. Used the ugliest old cars they could-Hudsons!! Yikes!!! 😱😱😱
Asaph back when America had a veneer of responsibility
Yeah like when the CIA overthrew all those democratically elected governments in latin America

*Nasal Announcer Voice:* Truck Farmers of today, bringing you the Chicken of Tomorrow!
I wonder how many people came here because of the Hot Rod Dragweek live feed?
I was thinking about something when I saw that car being stripped, the closest I was to being a Victim of something like that was one time I drove Home from work to eat lunch at Home, I went out to My Car to get My Monster (energy drink) and the wheel covers on the drivers side were gone. Those punks shoulda listened to Moose about the cops.
There 4 kids were doing what that was illegal or bad? I don't get the junkyard employees was selling or doing illegal by making the 4 kids do what?
The Viet Nam conflict sort of ended this kind of frivolity at least on some level, did it not? Another feather in the cap of the Democratic party's ongoing foreign policies. Sadly this kind of tripe records America's last gasp of innocence.
There's another Arch Hall movie where plays a sadistic killer, but I forget the name of it.
yes the sadist.its a real gem.very watchable and pretty well done.
The Sadist! I've seen all of His Movies.
My favorite scene is at the end when archy gets shot by the police little doper.
I like the movie but Arch Hall is tough to look at! It’s like his face is distorted or something!
I agree with you
@9:19
Why it's Speedy. You're long ways from Arizona cowboy.
I thought this movie was about a set of teeth??
"chick a dilly"
Sad.
Grandpa Munster?
When girls dressed like girls.
28:29
This is BRU-TAL. It is almost unwatchable
