My best (and the only intention) for getting this set is for the new light aqua arm piece! That's the last colour for light aqua monochrome figure. Finally a new colour adding to my monochrome figure collection!
I wish instead of the Silent Mary being a ghost, it should've been the ship before the wreck and you can remove covers to expose the hull making it look like the ghost ship. The lifted up bow feature could still be on it
You know what would make this set cooler? To have it at the bottom of the ocean in an aqua theme. It looks like a perfect wreckage to be explored by divers/submarines, with some treasure hidden inside. Maybe you could place this in your underwater world, Jang.
They probably did see them but didn't want to or forgot to mention it. The reviewers usually build the sets themselves, so they would have noticed what they're building.
The clip that covers the feature extends further, where I demonstrate that the side bits don't hold themselves up too high on their own due to low friction, but you can use these little hinged bits to hold them. It took about a minute which I felt was a poor use of viewers' time to demonstrate such a simple thing that doesn't even look any different on camera since I had already shown the important movement. Most of my videos get about an additional 20-30% of the narration & length cut out during a second pass of editing.
Very informative videos as always Jang, great job. For the set itself, I have to say, even though I'm not a big fan of the Pirates movies cause I don't remember them very much, this set appeals to me very much, it's just so good looking and interesting. Everything about this set is fantastic. It may not be in scale and it may not be the correct color, it still looks like a decent size for a LEGO ship, and bland gray and black colors just isn't fun sometimes, it makes it feel like it's not supposed to be touched or posed to me, so I appreciate that the color is close to a normal LEGO ship. This just looks like it would be a nice set to have. Wish I could get it, but I'll just stick to smaller sets, it's a little more my type.
Just FYI I have that set too and there are a couple of things you left out about the poseable “rib cage” of the ship. If you look under the bow of the ship on either side just beneath the joint where the rib cage connects to the ship you will see a movable piece that can be propped up to be able to hold the rib cage in position without moving, the same can be done by sliding out the pieces that hold the sharks in place, by flipping them out words you can also hold the central part of the rib cage in position. And here is something that I like to do when posing it, when flipping up the bow of the ship and posing the rib cage in the outward position I also flip out and pose each individual “Bone”, if you will, to give it a better look.
I think it needs more crew. Maybe the guy who's missing the top of his head? He'd be cool. Also, I want a revamped Barbossa from this. Maybe they can rerelease Queen Anne's Revenge under Barbossa. Or something?
I really wish that they hadn't retired the Pirates of The Caribbean lego theme(2011) so fast, they never even made a at world ends set! Also why aren't there more sets from dead men tells no tells?! Seriously, there are a lot of sets they could make! Who else agrees

i like this ship but it over priced i think it should of been 80 dollors at most and 30 at the least it a very good ship putting it at a such high price makes it so hard for the common man to buy without it cost him a arm and a leg
Sharks look awesome, good minifigs, I feel like it's over all good but for alternate faces I feel like Henry and carina's face should be switched( his stern, hers screaming) in the trailers she is often freaking out when she sees the ghost crew
Literally just finished building this thing and I am utterly floored. Pictures and videos don't do this thing justice. You need to actually see it. Its so intricately detailed and the ship itself is huge. It's amazing and any regrets I had about spending the money on it are gone.
One ship was trying to escape from the smoke. And then, in the crow's nest, there was this young pirate. Boy! He stood there looking like… like a little bird. And from that day he earned himself a name that would haunt me for the rest of my days. Jack the Sparrow!
it's good to see Lego did a proper job with this, unlike Black Pearl and Queen Anne's Revenge, you could probably use this a Base for your own galleon.
Ok! Lego jack sparrow looks amazing! But Korena and Henry..... no no no. First of all korena looks like a 10 year old little girl. And Henry looks like an tall elf and Peter Pan combined

I think a friction adder attached to the ball joint on the mast will fix stability issues. Those figs are fantastic btw, I love minifigs with translucent parts. I love the remolded flame pieces on either side of the statue!
Fun fact: Salazar was the Portuguese dictator that governed Portugal from 1933 to 1970. J.K Rowling and most likley the director of this movie were inspiered by him to get the names of their characthers. (Salazaar Slytherin and Captain Salazar respectively).

Jang, I think that seeing the Technic parts when looking at it when the front is lifted up looks great, and makes it look a tiny bit more destroyed, just like it should be...

Even if the "rotten" parts are difficult to put in Lego form, it's close enough, and it's pretty spooky to see a ship that floats even though it's haul is missing, but yes, it's a ghost ship! Ooouuuuuu!!! And they should really have made an interior that you could access with the minifigs, it's a bit of a letdown, it's not terrible, but it's terribly spooky! ;)

Jang great vids. This is my 1st comment. Ive been watching for years. On silent mary I plan to customize my own captains qtrs. And I recommend flipping the horizontal 'v' frame of the horizontal sail in the back of the ship over the steering wheel opposite of the instructions down so the 'v' is rightside up. This will pull the drooping sail about an inch off the deck giving more room for the capt to drive. Hope that makes sense.

I wish lego would make a Royal Navy ship, maybe the first ship in the series. Something small, but that might appeal to a fan of naval history, and not just the pirates
I really don't understand y barbossa wasn't included in this set. Firstly he was in the scene, secondly we get all the main characters except him. Ik his outfit is very similar to the one in on stranger tides and I do have that one anyway but it would be nice to get a new one.

Almost no one I've seen review this set saw the little gray joints underneath the front of the ship to hold the hull pieces up :D

Out of all pirate ship sets, this is my #1 favorites. Once I get one, I'm gonna keep the main mast up.

Despite how spectacular the build is, I do think the highlight of this set HAS to be the mini figures (Salazar's crew) and the zombie sharks.
