Paul, as we grow older there's nothing like - "The hills I call home." Family means the world to me and it's just special being where you grew up. For me we traveled so much growing up when we finally got to settle where all my families lived and where my mom and dad grew up well! It just felt like I was finally where I belonged. I always told my cousins who have lived here all there lives they took grandparents and family members for granted. I enjoyed everyday when we got back being able to see and visit them. I hope you and your family are doing well. Take care and may GOD bless you all. I love how you and pap alternate lines of this song... Great song and well done.... Deb

this is Beautiful... I used to go see Front Range and Bob Amos here is Delaware, Bob is from Delaware, and they were one of the BEST Bluegrass bands I have EVER heard, shame they are no longer together, but I know one of the band members sadly passed away. A Very TALENTED and NICE group of guys... they were Great, miss them. You guys do a very Nice job here, thanks for posting... ~~ Becky in Delaware, USA
@emilymaves, Thanks for commenting. As noted above, Bob Amos wrote this song (and many other such masterpieces). He was the lead singer and guitarist for a bluegrass band called Front Ranger. They're no longer together. The fact that this video has more views than any of our other videos (that have been posted for far longer) shows how much interest remains in Front Range.
We love "The Buffalo Plains," but it would be hard for us to do that song for two reasons: We don't have all those instruments, and the verses are very low. The pitch presented no problem for the banjo player of Front Range, at least I think he sang the lead on that song. Thanks so much for your kind comments.
That song is one of my MANY favorites, and, yes, I do have several favorites. Y'all do (in my opinion, for whatever it's worth) every bit as good a job as Front Range ever did. Not to downgrade them, they were strictly excellent. It's just that y'all are also strictly excellent! Keep it up!!!
hey always great to hear your playing ..someone mentioned you on Bluegrass Gospel on my facebook page......they really like you too..so your fame is spreading far and wide.....thanks again.. ...
you guys ever consider doing some more front range covers? Would love to hear back to red river or so many pathways Very good job on this by the way, took me back
