    Hey Y'all! Catfish pointed out that Spank by Vult has a built in VCA, so you can use it for drums if you like. If you use another envelope generator that does not have a built in VCA, just pull one up in the same configuration as in this video! Thank you and happy patching! 🤘😎

      Thank you, @turbotambourine! VCV Rack is great 😃. Maybe in the next installment of this drum making set I'll make a tambourine sound lol.

    _Would love to make Drum N Bass tracks, but don't have a Bass guitar, all there is are those drums. "Ba Dum Tss"_
    And another banger of a tutorial, Robbie! That Japanese TTS though, never not funny listening to it pronouncing English. 😂

    I want to visit your kofi page but I don't speak Japanese, 😉.
    I like the choked hi-hat at the end.

    Great tutorial! One question - at 9:40, couldn't you connect the Caudal module directly to μMap and just use the offset & scale?
    Seems redundant to put an offset module and an attenuvertor inbetween.

    • @yourpalrob
      @yourpalrob  3 місяці тому +2

      Thank you for the comment, @AB-wf8ek! You totally can just use the μMap's offset and scale; however, I find the additional attenuverter easier to dial in than the μMap alone. μMap's controls are very sensitive in my experience so having a module with a little more wiggle room helps me. If you want a slick minimal module set up, you should totally skip out on the redundant modules :)

      FYI, I just noticed in the snare section, the vca you're using is not needed. Spank has a vca included. I just use one channel.
      What you did makes it more clear what's going on in the patch though!

      Oooh micromap is new to me. That will be super helpful. I find myself wishing trummor2 had more cv. Awesome.

      Noted! I noticed the VCA port but just didn't utilize it because I didn't know how well it functioned :)

    At 9:00 , couldn't you have just used the Offset and Scale on the Stoermelder module instead of the attenuverter and add5?

    • @yourpalrob
      @yourpalrob  4 місяці тому +2

      Thank you for the question, Mattg5461! You can! However, the scale and offset function on the micromap are more difficult to dial in than with the dual attenuverter and add5 combo. So if you are using the micromap alone, the modulation depth will be slightly deeper based on the patching that I've done. I think the combo has more capability for subtle moves. The best thing though is there is more than one way and I'd like to encourage you to patch in whatever way you want. I hope this is helpful and thanks again! 🙂

      Lol yeah the other drum video was 3 months ago huh? Time flies. I'm fine 😊. I've made some other stuff since then, but I'll try to make the next one in this drum series a bit quicker for next time.
