Excellent stuff as always brother..only have the levy in this batch..he did several other great recordings as well. I think most the inedit series is on my wl with plenty of more ethno titles 😂...i like algierian stuff too very haunting and moving..well alot of different emotions collide in these sounds anyway..hope you and your are well and are gearing up the Finnish fall and winter. Always great too see you pop up and share your spins...much love chris
@@johncoltrane68 Hi Chris, thanks brother, hope you are well and good to hear from you. I was (pretty) sure you have at least the Levy, lol, I also have vol2 of Tibetan serie by him, Funny but levy is also finnish and means record or some kind of other plate or board. I liked surprisingly lot of the Inedit rec as it is basically just vocals with harmonium and tabla on the back, ragas in general seems to have always good effect to me, as well as the Algerian stuff. Greetings, -petri
Hi Petri, great bunch. The only one l wasn't keen on was the Jews Harp track. That Algerian series looks worth checking out. I liked the Indian temple album the most. Great taste.
@@berwickshiremike51 Thanks Mike, lol, yes jaw harp with only small doses, The best thing about that instrument could be that its easy to carry with. Algerian folk at its best can be really devine. Greetings!
Hi Petri. I've in comparison been playing very normal pop music tonight. The Primitives album (has the hit 'Crash' on it) some dance 12"s too. The Burundi one sounded like disapated Scottish bagpipes in a way. I'm amazed how you find all this wonderful variety of music from around the world. Cheers Martin.
@@Thevinylscavenger Moi Martin, yes that bagpipe track is odd in a way, beautiful choir singing between bagpipes, that was from Sicily, most of the lp is boring folk but there is also nice version of Godfather main theme jne. Was only two euros so I dont complain, heh, Kiitti ja terveisin, petri.
petri, l'm trying to watch this at the airport but am having a difficult time hearing as my headphones have a case of the blues. of course many interesting records from around the world. l have that lran lp, a good series l think l have eight of them... Burundi record is a cool one also.... well l must catch my flight soon..... cheers from Atlanta via Buffalo destination L.A.
@@juliusjabbar1011 Hi Sherv, good and save journey. Iran lp is very meditative, I like it alot. I was trying to remember what you showed from the serie, I was sure you played Ceylon and it was oretty wild, lol. Cheers!
Ola Hatri. Watching the video. Was listening to some XTC earlier, sort of been in the mood for them. Then some Talk Talk, and some Univers Zero's Hersey too. I'm liking the whole wooden vibe of the room. Enjoying the change in the season, tho still warm here in the afternoons. Do they celebrate Halloween there?
Hi Dave, lol, yes, halloween is everywhere here We bought a little pumpking and covered it, Very childish, lol. Hope you are fine Dave, greetings, -petri.
