Thank you, simple video that was easy to follow along to restore my Macbook Air 2017 to it's original MacOS, I was finding that the newer OS was not compatible with the software I once enjoyed using on it, I cannot thank you enough.
4:39 everything up until this timestamp worked. But when I go to reinstall the os I get a message saying “The Recovery Server could not be contacted” PLEASE HELP!!
Whaat? Shift option command r doesn’t work for me?! It just puts me on the latest Mac OS when I got my MacBook it has macOS snow leopard but when I try to use both commands it uses high Serra
I have a MacBook A1181 that came with Snow Leopard and I have been trying to get it to factory restored. I know it doesn't have or came with a recovery partition but I can't for the life of me get it to use the Install Snow Leopard DVD. It always ejects the DVD when I hold command + R. Is there anything I can do to get this thing to do a factory restore? I can't get into the app store at all. It says "Cannot connect to the app store"
I have a MacBook Pro 13’ Mid 2012. And the other videos almost worked, as far as accessing the Internet recovery mode. but I could never finish creating a Disk for the installation. This one allowed me to recreate a Disk as explained, but after attempting to select the disk to be installed with the macOS Catalina, the installation process was not successful after waiting for the time frame it provided(23min). An error pop-up appeared stating that “An error occurred while preparing the installation. Try running this application again. I have tried it 3 times and the same error pop-up reappears again. I do not know what to do from this point on to successfully fix my problem and gain regular access to my laptop again. I was so happy, only to be just as disappointed as I was before.
@@FamilyGeekery none of the boot commands worked for me. What's next (late 2009 running El Capitan) I have the USB drive ready and loaded. But I keep getting Questionlope
I haven’t had any problems with the servers. But I have had problems where the security certificate was expired for older versions of macOS. If that’s the case, you can use terminal to set your date back a few years in order to install macOS, then change it back. Similar to this: discussions.apple.com/thread/254913757?sortBy=best

Did you make sure !NOT! to erase the “base system” For a crashed system you just have to erase the HDD and don’t change anything and then it will allow u to install the OS X again

Same here. Did you find a solution?
Why is that so? It tells me it couldn't reach the recovery servers.
Still works without a problem, just be sure to select “Set up later” when it asks for Apple ID, just to be sure.

When I hit the Continue button on the installation of Sierra, in my case, it says "The installer information on the recovery server is damaged"
Sierra installer is broken
Ok my MacBook will not boot after using internet recovery, why is this?
I get a 2002F error it never finishes the download
I have Fibre Optic Broadband Direct into my house so I have Super Fast Broadband here in UK. But its still faster to use a USB drive IMHO.
I agree. But you’d be surprised how many people who watch my videos tell me they don’t have access to a thumb drive, lol.
