Went to the amber museum in Puerto Plata this past February. A nice little museum and interesting.Takes about 30 minutes to go through. Prices are a bit steep for the amber jewelry though. They also sell Dominican coffee and cigars.

We like to usually stay and eat where the locals are. I have missed this type of content from you and am very glad you have brought it back. I am also glad the you mentioned food in this one. I love a destination where I can get authentic cuisine. My travel is usually lead by my stomach so this make me very happy. Thanks again for all you do.

Hi Vanessa, would you have any suggestions for a vacation close to the USA that have a similar experience to the overwater bungalows? We don’t need the bungalow, but we would love a resort where we could walk out of our room onto the beach. Ideas? Thank you!
Excellent video. Haven’t cruised in a while, but one of the things I love about it is the ability to “sample” a number of destinations for a day, with the possibility of a longer stay in the future. That’s how we discovered Jamaica and St. Kitts, among others. Nice tip about Port Antonio. We stayed in Oracabessa. It was an adventure getting there, but we had a great time. Wonderful people and food. If you’re flying into Montego, I recommend that you spend your last day there so you don’t have to race to the airport on the morning of your flight.
Hi Vanessa, You certainly know how to get us excited about travel. I've been to Port Antonio and I highly recommend visitors check out the Blue Lagoon ( Not to be confused with the Blue Hole). I believe thats where the Brook Shields movie of the same name was filmed as well. Its breathtaking. With no all inclusives and not too many travelers eager to go to Norman Manley, I believe its safe to say Port Antonio will remain a hidden gem.
Playa Sosua is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Is has one of the clearest waters, has lots of food and drink options plenty of shade areas due to the jungle behind it and I have yet to find a beach that I love more
Hi Vanessa! I have been to Puerto Plata several times, Guadalajara and La Paz, all hidden gems. I love flying under the radar. However, I wonder what hotel you would recommend that is comparable to Beloved in Cabo San Lucas and doesn't have to be AI? Thanks for another great video!❤✈⛴

BACALAR is amazing, as well as Holbox. Those are the types of beaches I like. Will look into DR next.

We have been to Aruba Bonaire and curaçao from Scot land.The snorkelling in Bonaire is exceptional "I hoe cruise ships don’t spoil it .
