  • Hey everybody! so this is my extra video for this week! I was so excited to do this video because of how popular this technique is becoming. I know this has been done so many times by different people, and I was so excited that I was able to do it, thanks to a video that my sister found from 2012 by a youtuber called "Mystic nails" also if you're on instagram then i'm sure you would of seen "tony ly's" design which is fab. So this is my 2nd attempt at this design...again please excuse the airbubble! ;) Thanks so much for watching guys, see you soon xx

They're very scandalous and quirky LOVE EM
Personally I suck at doing nails and if I had the time and skill like you I would definitely try them out for fun
I would probably be sad to take them off cause they're so adorable
    Great job !

This is beautiful! I like the bubble.
These type of nails remind me of the hand-held water game I had as a child where I could push a button and cause the water flow to move rings into a basket at the top of the chamber. Loved that game.
    You made my day! Thanks.

cool idea, awesome for your 2nd time doing it. I prefer the air bubble in it, seems like it should be since it's like an aquarium.
constructive criticism on filming: use a background that is neutral in color-your nails almost blended in with the pink towel. also, you might want to zoom out to keep the project in the frame as much as possible.
thanks for making this, I learned a lot!

These are awesome! I'm not really into nails, I'm one of those people who'll cut them as soon as they grow and never paint them, but this is really good. Also I think the air bubble kinda adds to the "there's water in my nails" feel. idk. Like, even if you weren't moving your hands and making the things inside move around, you'd still know there was water in there. Good job.

The airbubble is part of what helps move the decorations in the liquid. Most are thick because there needs to be a room for the nail art to move unrestricted. If there's a way to do it thinner that's cool by everything takes up space if it isn't one dimensional..

Very cool! I've not seen that done before. And actually, as annoying as it is, the air bubble helps the baubles inside to move. Very pretty and you did a wonderful job!

I did these a few years back and used distilled water which is better than water as it can have containments. Also using a syringe is helpful to remove air bubbles!

I also do aquarium nails and the only reason they move around is because of the air! Kinda like a snow globe! Nice job!

I think they move around more nicely with baby oil...everyone get's air bubbles, it's very hard not to, even if you buy premade aquarium nails it's very hard because of the material that we are working with, I bet there would not be any air bubbles if we could put acrylic liquid in the nails lol...If you keep it up, one day you won't have an air bubble, Ninja Nail Fairy just posted a short vid of an acrylic aquarium nail yesterday and it is the BEST one I have ever seen in my life, she rocked the idea, and if you have any bubbles they would be covered up with this! Go watch her video Lydia I highly recommend it! XOXO

Thanks Michelle, I'll keep trying and maybe one day I can loose the bubble!! I saw her video, she's fabulous, I think it's great how popular this design is, can't wait to see everybody's different versions of it. Thank you for watching Hun xx

I have an idea for the air bubble. When you seal the area on the nail bed, the air bubble sits right there by it. Take a needle and poke through the wet acrylic and let the air seep out as you push the wet acrylic slightly inward to re-seal.

    • @LydiaBrook
      @LydiaBrook  9 років тому

I think this is a brilliant idea! I'll try that next time, thanks babe and thanks for watching xx

Don't apologise for the air bubble! For there was anyone close to me that could do my nails like this, I'd want a cute little air bubble! Just wanna give you some tips, because someone gave me some a long while ago and it helped me so thought I'd pass it on as I loved this video!!I'm unsure what you edit your video on, but put some music behind it, be sure to use royalty free music, UA-cam provides loads (just google UA-cam music library and there's a whole load on there, you can choose mood, genre, speed, etc so it's super easy to find what you want)Second thing is, to shorten your videos down a bit, when you're doing something and you've done explaining it, let it play normal speed for 2-3 seconds then speed it up like CRAZY cause the viewer already knows what you're doing as you do it as you explain it as well as a couple of seconds after that in normal speed, if that makes sense? Sometimes if I've got a clip I need to speed up but it's a long clip, I cut it in the middle, delete a section in the middle then go speed crazy! And the last little tip, which you already do but could do more is cut the stuff out that isn't needed, like when there's moments of you moving the camera, cut that out, or when you're just sorting your stuff out, cut that out.. Basically cut out anything that isn't informative or interesting for the viewer!I hope you don't take offence to this as I'm not slating your video at all, in fact, I wish you'd do my nails sooooo bad!! Just with your talent, plus a well put together video = people gonna love youuuuuuu!!!If you're ever in Suffolk, holla at me, would love to collab and you do my nails xxxxxxx lots of love, Stevie xxxxxxxx

Thank you so much for your advice, I have added music to my most recent videos, I was always unsure about the "rules" with the music on UA-cam but i have since learned that there are free songs that you can use. And yeh this video really could've done with being speeded up, thankfully one of my friends downloaded a really good video editor so I can speed it up more. Thanks for your advice I appreciate it x

Can I just say that as a viewer I DETEST background music. It is not required and very distracting. If anyone wants it they can put their own stereo on whilst watching. Just my opinion. :-)
