I need more pleaseeee, I want city hunter to be popular in the west. We got the new anime movie and now this. Im so excited. Hope it opens the possibility for this adaptation to continue, I absolutely love the cast and hope netflix is generous and gives either sequels or just a whole series. Also would love an english release of the manga. Just happy city hunter is making a small comeback. I agree with him that this is a love story. Ryo and Kaori is my favorite of any romance story. Their bond and how they act with each other is so heartwarming and tearjerking. I just love the dual personality of Ryo being a goofball but just getting dead serious whenever Kaori is in danger. They picked an amazing actor for Ryo and Kaori and I cant wait to see the future.

I have to send some letters to Netflix, don't I? As a big fan of "City Hunter", I really appreciate his commitment to this movie. I can't wait for the sequels!!
I just finished watching city hunter. Very impressive and show real respect of the manage. Very truthful to the original material. Ryohei English is so very good and he portrays Ryo perfectly and best live action Ryo ever! I want a sequel right away. I read the original managa like 35 yrs ago and still remember the story from 1st issue. Seeing how it play out in Live Action is a true gift for me . Very very happy with this movie !

As a hardcore fan of Tsukasa Hōjō sensei's original City Hunter for more than 3 decades out of 4 of my life, I was very sceptical and worried at first , fearing that this would be another big mess. but after watching the movie, I was amazed by Ryohei san's role playing. He incarnated Ryo Saeba to the perfection. Also Misato Morita played wonderfully Kaori. I loved the movie's plot and never get bored at anytime.The film is without doubt the best live action movie made for City Hunter to this day. ARIGATŌ GOZAIMASU Yūichi Satō for respecting the spirit of Tsukasa Hōjō sensei's masterwork. I definitely want this team to do a sequel asap please keeping the same spirit.
I love the movie. Very faithful to the soul of the original manga. The comedy, the Mokkori and the BADASS ACTION! a classic that is great and i want MORE.
Really hope that it gets a sequel, Ryohei Suzuki absolutely killed it as Ryo! Out of all the anime adaptations out there, I feel like this one really honored the essence of the original series

Just saw this yesterday, and it was a PERFECT manga -> live action adaptation! The visuals, actions scenes, pacing, acting were all perfectly paced and really made me feel like I was watching a live version of a manga comic in all the best ways. Can’t wait to see more
he shouldn't be brought to Hollywood at all. Hollywood ruins people and recent Hollywood movies have been pretty disappointing apart from movies like Dune for example. I think he is better doing Japanese movies and series

Suzuki Ryohei IS Saeba Ryo! Remember, Ryo also lived in Central America before migrating to Japan and he must have had English speaking partners back then. (If anything, Ryo probably can speak Spanish as well!) Ryohei speaks quite fluent English, this is very rare in Japan, I didn’t expect this at all. It’s like seeing the real City Hunter.
Formula is very simple: stick to magna with minor adjustment, you win; change the story and adapt to hollywood style, you lose. AI will take over soon for live action adaptation.

More westerners should watch the previous iterations of City Hunter. I feel like Archer would not exist if it wasn't for City Hunter.
The only thing I'm concerned how Westerners will see City Hunter is that they might compare Ryo too much to Sterling Archer.
Ryohei is a true fan! He really understood the essence of the manga. The best Ryo possible. The movie was so great, we need a sequel with Umibozu!
