Thank you for this! Those camera recordings are perfect for my project! As an all in one customer, i have to say, it's the best value I've ever gotten and it just keeps giving!
Very cool device and you captured some sounds I never imagined. It makes me want to sample every piece of electronics in my home. LOM makes mention on their website about signing up for their mailing list to stay informed about future batches, so here's hoping they get around to that.
Nice. Thanks Marcel. I got the ElektroUsi's and had fun with them, but not used them in a while. Best sound I ever got was sweeping them over a security gate at a supermarket - the barriers that check if you walk out without paying for something. That was awesome. The main negative issue I found with them is that so many things sound pretty much the same. LED strip lights can be cool though.
Heya! Yeah you can get some amazing sounds. It really depends and I do get similar sounding sounds with lights or wall cables but most of the time, everything sounds very unique. Also check the frequency range. A sound maybe sound similar but the frequency could be different. The air conditions are always very low and dark sounding.
@@FreeToUseSounds OK. Now I need to find some air conditioner units ! I thought it was a problem with the ElektroUsi's being cheap. Maybe they don't pick up the same range as a Soma Ether or more expensive device, or maybe they're not as sensitive. I need to play around with them a bit more. You definitely need to be very close to the source to get anything out of them - like only a few centimeters away from the main source or you get nothing at all.

Its handy having electronics as another hobby - I already have all the parts except the specific OpAmp - will experiment with a 'standard' OpAmp I have in my parts boxes.
Hi Marcel! Great video, as always, I've recently discovered your channel, and it's fantastic! For those searching for an Electroslush alternative, you can use either guitar pickups or "telephone pickup coils"(with a suction cup). Those can be soldered to a minijack or XLR, based on your recorder inputs, and connected directly. However, suppose you want a better frequency range. In that case, it's better to incorporate some impedance transformer, such as Hosa MIT-129, which will match the output impedance to the microphone input impedance. I've been using a pair of sub 10$ telephone pickup coils with Hosa adapters for almost a decade, and they still serve me well. :) I hope it will help!
And the Oscar for the best soundeffect goes to - EMF (Electro-Marcels Field recordings).
@@FreeToUseSounds I never bought Pigments but always wanted it. I'm currently looking at buying a USB keyboard controller and the Arturia is my favourite. Probably the Minilab MK II. It comes with a lot of great Arturia patches from old analog synths from my youth. Also like the Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol. I really miss the old studio I had many years ago with my Access Virus KC, Roland JP-8000, Waldorf MicroQ, EMU, and many other rack synths and VTSI's like the ones from Vengeance Sounds which were awesome. Why did I marry and have kids !!?? Ha ha.
That are some really cool sound from that electromagnetic reader device. Too bad LOM has still outof stock. Are there any alternatives to it? Good video btw
Imagine all the sounds that are out there that we don't hear, I know that Elephants can actually hear Lower frequencies than most other animals and that we can't hear at all!
Hello Marcel, thanks for these amazing videos! I'm thinking on buying the Lom Uši Pro, but I was wondering if you would advice me a pair of Lom Basic Ucho instead, as I see it more robust. IDK if you have any concerns about your Uši Pros. Thanks in advance
Hello Ivan, thank you so much for watching. Ah yes the Usi's are great but don't use them anymore. Keep in mind that when Jonas has them back in stock they will sell out in under 1 hour. So you might miss out when you think too long about getting them or not.
Ah! It's opensource? Please share the info/data/design and or its sources with us? I mean share us the links? If you are kinf enough. If it's not much to ask. Thanks in advance. I would totally understand you don't know where it is or they are. I am no one to demand/request/call for this. I'm just saying. Obviously no mean to bother. Great video and sounds!
This is interesting.. It seems like it also picks up electric and magnetic fields sounds.. I have a bunch of Gigahertz solutions tools for testing rf radiation.. Pure poison in the air! The sounds are disturbing to me knowing the damage they cause on the human body.. Along with animals, insects, etc..
my neighbors are listening to me how can i gather device would you recommend to gather evidence for police to record what they say about evil plans that they do to annoy me
Thank you for this!

Always great to hear someone else's electromagnetic sounds! I’m also lucky to have the LOM Elektrosluch 3+ :)

Hi great review. Too bad they’re discontinued. Have you tried the Elektrouši?
Do you prefer it over the soma ether?
So cool!!!!

Thank you Til!!! :) We are super excited about Japan! Trying to get our hands on the Sanken COS 100K. :)
Interesting. Could really bring forward some unimaginable sounds.
Oh yes! I'm using Pigments right now and its awesome! I also ordered the SOMA Cosmos and have some cool ideas :)

Hi Gregor! The available alternative but in mono is the SOMA Ether.
@@FreeToUseSounds thanks
I built one from scratch for $30. Looking into seeing how much it would cost to get the PCBs made up with chips n co attached.
I WANT IT. How do I get one?
hold it to a vacuum tube a power tube see if you can hear the audio.

@@icrodriguez21 Well, we don't have any room for them and having the DPA's is really enough.
