I grew up in Webster in the 60's & 70's. It sure has changed. Lot more Concrete. In the closing scenes, He approaches Bay Area Blvd. Just on his left is a 7/11 Exxon Station. Back in my day it was Blackwell's Exxon. I worked for those Good People From Age 14, Off and on until I was 22 years old. It was a full Service, Service station. We did everything from State Inspections, Break jobs, Alignments, tune ups, oil changes, Tire work.... You name it. The Blackwell's were such good people. They paid me well, And treated me like family. God Bless them.

Awesome! I imagine it being like the Movie Urban Cowboy back in the 60’s and 70’s with frequent trips to Galveston with family

@@brittrips It was exactly that.... When I was older, I even used to go to Gilley's on Ladies night. They had .69 cent drinks!! on Ladies night. I was even a Welder at the time for a Company named Gulf Nuclear. It was located in Webster. If you look them up on the internet, It is on the "Most toxic, Nuclear waste site in the country" list..... The Company later moved to Texas City. Then went out of Business when they discovered the mess they left in Webster. Life was good in Webster growing up. About half the kids I went to grade school with had parents in the Apollo Space program. So anytime they had a moon mission, At school they would let us watch it on TV all day. My mother was working at NASA at that time, But I would learn till many years later she wasn't working on the Apollo program, She was working on the Space Shuttle program but could not tell us kids because it was still classified back then.

Wow that’s awesome! I figured NASA and refineries were big business for the areas. Buzz Aldrins house is very close too. Thanks for sharing, that was interesting. And .69 cent drinks! LOL too bad they didn’t have Uber back then

I lived in Webster for several years during the shuttle program. I enjoyed every minute of it. I was in the Winward/Leeward apartments and watched them being built from my office window. I worked in the long red building.

I live in Webster Texas, my house is technically not in the city limits but our mailing address says so, plus we go to Webster for mail business. So, I basically live in Webster. It's a very nice town, it's been my home since I was born (I'm 14) and will always be in my heart. I was actually born right there off Medical Center in Clear Lake Regional. If you film my house go to the neighborhood between 528 and Bay Area. I'm on Heritage Colony and there is a big property behind my fence with cows. You might even see me out in my yard.
