@@MilesAwayOfficialIt's a great synth! Especially when using a MPE controller. I recently used my Hydrasynth as a controller for it and it's great. Now i need to figure out how to use the Seaboard for it. Was it easy to setup? If you find the time for it i'm 1000% sure you'll make the DD shine! 🤩

Awesome Demo 👌 as Always 👍 Wow this Reverb is stunning, beautiful effects and from around 14 minutes into this demo the sounds coming out were just Beautiful 💯 🤩 🙌
@@MilesAwayOfficial I can well imagine that. Incomprehensive is that Black Corporation sold CS80's sophisticated ring modulator section as separate unit and supposedly stopped producing it.
Sounds great. There's so many great reverbs for synths now. This wasn't on my radar but now it is. I was interested in the Meris or the Eventide H9, but this is a serious contender. Great demo!
Thank you!! Yea this is pretty much the polar opposite of the Meris or H90. You basically trade off versatility and more algorithms of those big box ones for a much more fluid and playable reverb that’s basically designed like a knob per function synth. I think the MercuryX is still the best sounding reverb I own, but this is by far the most fun and easily the one I’m reaching for if I’m doing ambient stuff
@@wren23_bass-synths looks like its a popular one! if you do get it from PC, please use my affiliate link, it honestly helps the channel so much. Good luck!
Hello from a new subscriber up the street in Juneau! Love your vibe, and love, love, love the Nightverb! Thanks for showing off the preset morph. Didn’t even know. You can bet I’ll be playing with that tomorrow.
Thanks for subscribing and stoked you are enjoying yours! A fun tip is set the morph time to max, and transition between a preset with a huge room to a tiny one. You can create riser FX sweeps out of any sound you feed it!
Once again I came for the good music and I was not wrong! Bro, another banger in the beginning and probably the best ambient I ever heard in the end. And I gotta hand it to Erica ppl, these soviet guys know how to make good stuff and know who to send it to! I'm not sure why anyone needs a $600 delay, but hey, it's not made in China! That's a big plus in my book. Thanks bro!
Thanks so much man! Trying my best to keep outdoing myself for the demo jams haha. And I love making ambient, I have for years, just never had a place to release it until this channel :)
That would be a killer combo! That depends, if you only care about ambient reverb just get this. If you want more realistic or weird options too get the Meris
Good question! I would personally say, when moving the parameters and recording that in becomes a primary focus of the piece VS traditional use of effects to find a setting you like, and set and forget
@@LAZ-org good question I am not sure if it’s a different algo or the same! But the point for sure of this is in the moment hands on performance control. It is hard to describe but it really feels more like playing a synth than a reverb pedal
I'm in the market for a powerful but simple-ish reverb. I had more or less settled on the Sloer, with the Mercury7 a close second. If I'm chasing after tones in this orbit (Vangelis-y ambient stuff, really musical, not too cluttered sounding, definitely BIG reverbs), how would you stack this against those two? I'm not overly interested in perfect recreations of classics or anything. Peace and love from Vancouver Island :)
@@interstellarcastaway hello future neighborhour (trying to move to the island)! Meris is hi-fi and the most Vangelis (it’s airy and literally inspired by blade runner). Walrus and this are more dirty/lofi but have a really emotional sound. Between this and Sloer is a question of do you want more control (this) or more algorithms (Sloer). You can’t go wrong with any.
@@MilesAwayOfficial Yeah, that's the sense I was getting too, just wanted to bounce it off of someone who actually used them. Best of luck on your search to move out here. Land of milk and honey, in some ways, hahaha
Wow. Great demo! Man, for financial reasons, I should stop watching your videos. 😂 I‘d love to hear the Nightverb after the Meraki. Could you please make a video of that combo?
Hey bud - sounds like it has amazing potential - but the whole stereo image of the reverb return is skewed really left heavy throughout much of the video (see around 9:30), and almost sounds out of phase? Thoughts? EDIT - I just checked out a bunch of other videos of this pedal and they all sound the same… the algorithms seem really skewed left heavy! Surely that can't be right?
Interesting! I made this video on monitors so I didn’t notice it but now with headphones I can totally hear it. My recording is dead centre and no processing on the verb channel at all, so it wouldn’t be specifically my video. It’s subtle but it does sound like there is a bit more presence on the L channel. Must be something with how the spread algorithm works. I wonder if as you open the spread knob the right side could become more apparent. I will definitely test!
@@MilesAwayOfficial yeah, it's definitely not anything you did - I hear it on every video I can find on this thing. In some spots like 14:50-15:05 in your video here, it almost sounds like it has phase issues; when I hit the mono switch on my monitor controller, a lot of the verb signal completely disappears! It's definitely something in their algorithms.... my system is really dialed in (large PMC mastering monitors, Grace m905 monitor controller, etc.) and it's only videos of this unit that sound this way. Again, it's not you my friend! ;-)
I like the sound of this unit but I owned the Zen Delay that stopped working and I contacted Erica Synths. I waited 2 months and got no reply. I ended up giving away the dead Zen Delay. I could never justify the price of this considering my experience nor will I take that risk. I reached out to 8 different companies as well. Nobody was willing to try to work on it. 😢
Noob question - so how did you route this? Seaboard goes to the computer, then you send it out through the interface to this external reverb and THEN back through the interface? It sound great btw!
Not a noob question at all! The way you described is exactly how I use reverb pedals with VST. But here I’m using it with an analog synth. So Seaboard actually just is a controller, it can’t make any sound on its own. Seaboard is going into the Deckard’s synth, which then goes into Nightverb, which then goes to my interface and into logic
@@MilesAwayOfficial Alright, makes sense! I must admit I am too poor to even know what this Deckard synth is but damn, this thing is gorgeous! And the possibility to use it with a Seaboard is fantastic! I can't afford a synth which is THAT expensive but maybe one day.... definitely the most pure sound I have heard in a while!
Erica's knobs are perfect sized and well spaced too, many other manufacturers should take hint. Are they Bakelite? Verb is smashing, but I need more synths before I need fx atm.
Latvia! I agree, their build quality is just incredible. All the Eastern European synth companies build like tanks. Gamechanger, Soma and Elta all feel like they will withstand an earthquake too
All those pots/knobs add a lot to the price, but add nothing to the sound. Can’t tweak any of the knobs on that ‘performance reverb’, unless you only play keys one-handed … and even then … only one knob? Maybe two?! Seems better suited to those with a modular set-up that’s chugging away, or maybe DJ - neither of which tend to mind fairly sterile algorithms like this (tho’ the Modulation helps that some). The Left-channel bias is a bit weird.
its not trying to be! I mention in the outro, this is basically confident being a single, super flexible ambient reverb that sounds massive and is controllable.
