I have had my odes, for over 4 years, with zero problems. I put about 3000 miles per year. So my personal opinion is the odes is fine. I did replace windshield with poly carb, I also bent a polycarbonate rear window. I enclosed the side with plastic, so I could put a heater in it. I plumbed the heater into the radiator. We have many winter days in the single digits, I stay nice and warm. Most reviews are written by people whom aren’t happy. The thousands of people who like there machine hardly every say anything.
please take my advice. I fell for the hype and lost huge. I bought a new idea dominator 800. problem after problem arose. their warranty department declined to cover manufacturing defects. inferior quality and parts do not lead up to savings. after repairs and losses I took selling it I was out $5000.00. spend a few extra thousand up front and get a reputable machine and save thousands on the back end.
had a 2014. biggest piece of shit. everything but the motor had a problem. 3 different bolts wiggled loose and caused major damage. both clutches 1300$ all new wheel bearings 100$. 4 wheeldrive actuator, warrentied , happened on the first ride. rear diff 800$. they are cheap as hell for a reason. buy a used can am for the same price and you will be happy. got a 2014 maverick max for 14000 and haven't had a problem in 2400 miles. the odes had 1100 miles when it jumped off a cliff. suspension is stiffer than a hard on. plastic is cheaper and thinner. horrible quality . hope you haven't got one.
i talked to adam@airdamclutches.com. he is all over the can am forums. All the racers for can am use him. Anyway the odes motor and transmission/clutches are the same as can am. they have upgraded the clutchs to a cvtech primary. but like Adam said to me . its all a knock off of can am and it really is alot less quality. the seat belt mount weld just broke for no reason. the gear shifter snapped in half when i shifted into gear. the medal is cheaper. i would not talk a bunch of crap about a product . unless i truly know from my own experience. it was only 3 months ago that it flew off that cliff. i could never tell anyone to buy one. get a can am commander. tons better my buddy just got a 2014 that had 800 miles for 11,000. please dont buy odes👍
Can am isn't much better in my opinion. I rode my commander just on dirt roads and on the highway and the rear diff and clutches were always being replaced. I sold it after a little around 9 months. Polaris is much better.
I'm just surprised that someone wants to give odes such a huge thumbs up like this guy. I'd rather have some dignity and be truthful to the public then to put my name and face out there to support such junk all for the mighty dollar.
bought one took it back extreme heat melted floor and plastic skid plate brakes sucks random stall out one of my buddy's have one same problems and more his will not charge battery .... long story short I bought a yamaha and it is great just a high quality machine
Every utv has its problems. They all break down. Some faster depends on how hard u ride em and more problems if u let sit. Y’all ride the hell out of em you gonna pay the price of fixing it. Just look at the manuel, it tell you how deep in water and mud u can ride in. Riding in hi gear all the time is what fucks the belts up.
Let's see how long it takes ODES to remove this post ... I bought a Dominator 1000, 4 seater, extended travel, last Spring. Didn't use it much for the first two months. But, once I started, WOW !! the problems began, with NO resolution to date. The heat at the exhaust was over 1000 degrees; in the cab it was unbearable; melted the linkage and couldn't get it out of Low (at 11,000 ft); the speedo screen keeps randomly changing the MPH and RPM; their "fixes" have done nothing!!! I spent my last dime on this and if they bought it back (not that they offered), I couldn't get another machine!! I don't know what to do.
why do people keep saying these are rotax engines well there not there a Chinese copy of a rotax there trash rotax is the best utv engine on the planet in my opinion so please know what you are talking about
Mike Johnston you comment on a lot of videos regarding this machine. Obviously, a bad experience. I (and others) have one and like it. You certainly want to make a point.
I bought 2013 odes brand new in Canada and it my be loaded but with the cheapest crap. I've had problems over the years and never can get parts so I'll never buy odes again... They are junk and will always be junk go with the name brand cause it will cost u nothing but hardships
+Kristen Dartez Have you looked at America's bike Harley Davidson? I don't think anything is made in the U.S.A. The only bike made in America is the Polaris Victory.

I own the dominator 800 2 door. Make sure you change the belt to epi immediately the stock is junk. The motors in these are canam rotax motors
THEIRISHAXE just bought one and ordered the epi belt. Thanks!

How could the floor melt when there is not even a heat source by the floor?
exhaust pipe runs next to passenger floor board mine melded floor and engine cover

Terrible warranty support, coupled with many drive train issues. Lost $8500 when I sold it. Poor company support making claims that are not true

Royce McCarthy that's a lie
@@rugby3874 Harley Davidson and Polaris are around 60 to 70 percent American made. I know for a fact HD does get parts from China.
Total Chinese JUNK! Buy at your peril.
The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten
They are made in the USA, no?
