Thank you for the beautiful pattern for uggs . I made 2 pairs by following your directions and they turned out to be perfect. One pair is pink with cream soles and the other one I made is shimmery black with white soles. Bless you for being a commendable teacher to learners like myself :)
Hi Stephanie, Just saying hello and big thanks for your generosity making tutorials and sharing your knowledge. Your tutorials are clear and the way you talk just make me feel calm and relaxing. I do appreciate you go to the point and do not talk about anything else, this is a real tutorial! you do not waste time with unnecessary comments, Thanks!! Also a lot of people assume everybody has the same ability and is hard to follow them but with you is sooooo easy, even you take the time to put the exact minute for every step! you really are awesome!! Thanks again!
Thank you for the lovely compliment. That was my goal, to make it easy to follow. I am glad you were able to make these. I will be putting more videos out soon! 😃
This video is fantastic! In my opinion, I think the instructions are very clear and I love how my booties came out! Thank you so much, for taking the time to make the video and explain the pattern so thoroughly. Lots of love, and take care! :)
Love all the baby shoe patterns you have. Especially these uggs. Also love the converse. Do you have a pattern for nike sneakers for baby Great video Thank you.
Hi Stephanie, I noticed that you said you tend to stitch tight. I think that's partly because of the way you crochet. You're creating a twisted stitch when you grab the yarn from the top, rather than from underneath the working yarn. I realize that you don't always do so, but mixing the standard and twisted stitches will still create a smaller overall result. So, consider that when you're evaluating the size of yarn, crochet hook and resulting density of fabric. (The crossed stitches appear as an X on the front of the stitch. The non-crossed stitches will look like a V.) The same thing happens when knitting in the front of the loop or the back loop (twisted) - one results in a very different look and the crossed stitch will always be a stiffer/denser/tighter result. (c; Cindy
Yes. I do a yarn under when I grab the loop and a yarn over to finish the stitch. I have seen many people do it this way. It is just the way(habit) I was taught years ago. I hope you can still get the result you want with this pattern. Happy crocheting 😊😃
Stephanie, do you think I could use Bernat pipsqueak yarn instead of Crafters Square? They kind of look the same IMO. .These baby Uggs are so adorable!! I love your patterns. You make these things that look so complicated very easy to make. (such as the converse booties, Ive made so many of those) 🤩 Thanks for taking your time to make this video!! 🥰
The only way I could make the top of the RIGHT bootie correct (so it folds over in the right direction), is to do my first 4 sc in the BACK loop only. You never mentioned anything about finishing the right bootie. You don’t want to make the right and left the same. Please correct me if I am wrong. LOVE this pattern and thanks for taking your time to share it.
Hi Stephanie!!1 Thank you for this great pattern. I wondered if you have ever made this with a chenille yarn? if so, what hook would you use? Love these, thank you!
Hello Stephanie, i love these booties. :D If i'd like to make 9.5 UK size bootie, do you have measurements (pattern)for that? I'm new to crocheting :) . Thank you, Marty
Stephanie, how do i make larger sizes?? My granddaughter will be 4 months in decemer ( she has to be born today). I like the Thimberland booties also. Maybe i can make that in size 3 - 6 months.
Hello, thanks for sharing this beautiful pattern. I keep trying to make these but the sole keeps coming out larger. I don't have a 4 1/2 mm hook so I used the 4mm and the sole came out 5in, then I went down to a 3.125mm hook and it came out 4 1/2 inches. Are you using #4 medium ply yarn?
I realized my sole was too big for the size of baby I'm making for, so I switched to a 2.5. I'm doubling up with a gold varugant and a cotton doiley yarn. I'm at round 2 just after round toe. Should I stop here?or end at the heel where you slip stitch. The shape seams fight here.. I went on and did round 3 and 4, but it's too big. Darn. I wish this were a live totorial so I could get immediate advice
Oh I know what I'll do. I've turned up the last two rows. This worked well because I guess the gold mine thread and tight stitches have much body. And I think I'll make tiny innersoles by this same pattern.🤗
YOU'RE RIGHT!! I did not even notice this. Sometimes when you make a pattern, you have notes beside you and have to repeat things too. I am sorry, I will put a note in the description. Thank You for pointing this out.
@@StephanieZed If that is the case, can you delete this tutorial and do another one with a closer camera angle, a dark background against light colored yarn (or vice versa) and better wording (2 SC in each of the next 5 stitches is easy to understand), and point out the stitch you are working into several times on the corners. I really want to make these but I just can't follow this tutorial at all. Thank you,
The corners where you turn are the most confusing. It helps if you go slowly and point out stitch to work into several times before you do it. Also, the white yarn against a light colored background makes it very hard to see. Frustrating, because the Uggs are so cute.
Thank You for your comments. This was one of my first videos, and I try to pick colours that are easier to see now. Remember you can always watch the video in slow motion and pause often. When you turn your rows, it is always a chain one then turn, then start in the first stitch. Each row has 30 sc. I hope that helps. Stay safe and keep crocheting.😷😊
Instead of saying 2 Sc in the same stitch, SC. (5 times), it's more understandable to say 2 SC in each of the next 5 stitches. Then demonstrate. After round 2, you did not say the total number of stitches. Needless to say, mine did not come out correctly. Many people are asking for the written pattern because your tutorial is impossible to see and therefore impossible to follow. Sorry, just have to be honest.
Thank you for your comment. Round 2 has 32 stitches. I put that in the details of the video at the beginning because I forgot it in the video. (I am still learning). My hands are doing the correct stitches. At this time I do not have the written pattern. I try to put the words at the top as I go along. I am trying very hard to make my videos clear and easy to understand. I hope you give it another try. These slippers are so cute and I have made many pairs to give away. Stay safe and thank you.

Great tutorial 👏👏👏👏👏! Well explained and your voice is very welcoming!
I love this, and I love how you do the overhand stitch of the single crochet, it gives a cleaner line.
Lisa Manson 😊 Thank you
I love your tutorial and am going to do these they are so cute. Ty for sharing. X
Lovely..such efficient assembly. I will be making these. TFS

Hi Stephanie if I go up one and a half hook size’s will this work for a 6-12 month old? Love your tutorial’s.
I think it should. I also yarn under, which is a tighter stitch. If you yarn over it should be bigger. 😃
@@StephanieZed thank you
What hook size did you use?
i came across these. I enjoy doing it. Mine looks more flimsy. I did it in dark purple with a with sole
11:44 step 2 Sides & Toe
26:47 step 3 top sides

At 31:45 I start the right bootie.
This was same issue for me
I cant seem to find the fuzzy yarn, can you name a substitute? I LOVE this look, I have a new Granddaughter and would love to make this
Hi. I am not sure. I live in Canada. I have seen it at Walmart and Michael’s. And similar yarn at the dollar stores.
I hope you find some.
@@StephanieZed and it IS called fuzzy yarn? Sorry eyes are old and bad and cant read the name of it:) and Thank you for the response hun !
Adorable for how many months are this baby boots for
0-6 months depending on your yarn and hook size!😃
@@StephanieZed thank you
Hi Stephanie!!1 Thank you for this great pattern. I wondered if you have ever made this with a chenille yarn? if so, what hook would you use? Love these, thank you!
Chenille yarn is quite thick. I have not tried it. They might come out bigger but I think it would work.
@@StephanieZed Thank you for your quick response. I'll give it a go and just assume it will be for a toddler...will post pics when done. :-)
what weight yarn did you use & thank you for sharing your talent
This is just a medium weight acrylic yarn. You might have to try a few different weights out until you achieve your perfect size.
I am trying to make these for a 2 year old and a 3 year old. How can I adjust the pattern to accommodate?
Hello Stephanie, i love these booties. :D If i'd like to make 9.5 UK size bootie, do you have measurements (pattern)for that? I'm new to crocheting :) . Thank you, Marty
I do not have an adult size at this time. Sorry 😢
@@StephanieZed hi Stephanie, thank you for your reply, i mean 9.5 uk kids size 4 year old 😘
mortinka Hi. I still don’t have a pattern for that. You could try doubling the yarn or using a heavier weight and a larger hook. Good luck. 😃
@@StephanieZed thank you so much Stephanie. :) x
Stephanie, how do i make larger sizes?? My granddaughter will be 4 months in decemer ( she has to be born today). I like the Thimberland booties also. Maybe i can make that in size 3 - 6 months.
For the exact pattern, try a heavier gage yarn and also a larger hook. I don't have a bigger pattern.
@@StephanieZed ok thank you
Congratulations on your new granddaughter!
How would I make these newborn size?
@@melissaclissold5759 Smaller/thinner yarn and hook. 😃
Ma'am can this this size booties fit for baby of 1to 2 years
Can I use a 5.00 mm hook?
Yes. They will turn out bigger.

I am using a 4.5 mm crochet hook. The yarn is Bernat Premium #4 Medium weight. I do crochet quite tight though. Maybe try a smaller ply yarn.
@@StephanieZed thank you so much. I will try that.

Newborn, perhaps
Definitely stick to the pattern so your numbers work. Are they too big or too small?
I like it very much. So far it reminds me of some rope sandals I had way back
Oh I know what I'll do. I've turned up the last two rows. This worked well because I guess the gold mine thread and tight stitches have much body. And I think I'll make tiny innersoles by this same pattern.🤗
@@StephanieZed that's what I was wondering. I still should have the last 45 on count , but they will show maybe with more soles.
Thank you,
Oooppps I meant fuzzy yarn. LOL
The yarn is called “Crafters Square” knitting yarn. 100%polyester. 50 gram ball of yarn. (1.7oz).
do you have a written pattern to follow along with the video.
No
is there a written pattern?
What kind of yarn did you use for the furry yarn? The brand is hard to read and I can't find any.
It is called Crafters Square knitting yarn.
What size is this pattern? Newborn? 3 to 6 months, 6 to 9months?
3-6
Wish you would tell us the #yarn you are using.
It’s a Bernat premium #4 100% acrylic.
Do you have a written pattern somewhere i can get or buy
Heather Harris No, sorry. I just right it out as you go on the top.
@@StephanieZed will it be ok for me to write it out from the video?
Heather Harris Yes. Absolutely. 😃
I've tried to do, re-do and re-do again and stitch count is off on first round. Has anyone experienced this also?
In round 3 she says 45 stitches I watched and counted 2 times and came up with 44
What size child is this for ?
Depending on your yarn and hook size. The one in the video is 0-6 months. 😃
Which age is booties you crochet
These are pretty small. Probably 0-6 months.
on round 2 you say 32 stitches i have watched the video 3 time's and counted your stitches and you do 36 not 32

Mine looks much bigger than yours and the toe does not look as square as your. ☹️
