At **4:56** onward we really stress how to optimize this exotic treating it similarity to anarchy or witherhoard.*
I am a D1 player who also plays D2 and took 2 years off until about 6 months ago....
I have the G-horn. Is it not shit anymore? I thought the Wolfpack rounds were exclusive to that.

@@doctaj.2571 It's a support pick because it gives wolfpacks to legendary rockets (like the apex predator mentioned in this vid). Having 1 gally with 5 legendary rockets is usually the best option, but dragon's breath paired with a fusion may be an okay substitute for a higher total damage instead of dps. Gally's other big usage is ironically ad clear in some of the highest level content like GMs where you can get infinite heavy by abusing things like cenotaph (warlock exotic). Gally has gotten more than a few nerfs but it's still a great exotic that has a place in most damage scenarios.

One thing that isn't mentioned here that should. Gunpowder Gamble counts as an Ignition. Throw it into a croud with the Scorch Fragement, blow the load, and get a faster fill on the Gas of this weapon. Plus free spreading of schorch for more kabloomies.

Why I love fusions on warlock still, you have so many ways to increase the gas charge
Imma try that after work, being rocking hunter with celestial, gunpowder and a incandescent hand cannon just swiping ads and deleting champions. The golden gun buff with celestial is humongous. I did 999,999 to a champion even without stunning it (it was a barrier)
That's cool but man I hate gunpowder gamble because it just doesn't have very many fragment slots. That, and I tend to nuke myself when I try to throw a healing nade.
@@snottytoe6957 hahahaha same. Knock em down and on your marks are good, but for the build i went with (AoE/ads cleaner/champ killer) i need it for that extra ad clear and burst dmg.
With the right artifacts, i use knife trick, a hand cannon on the energy slot with incandescent, dragon's breath and a slide shotty on kinetic. I might as well upload a rub of me rocking that with celestial nighthawk

I think most of those clips were pre catalyst and reused and or during damage testing to check the difference in what the stacks do 💥🔥💥🔥💥🔥

Did you know if you disable overload rockets in the artifact, that this rocket is amazing at barrier champs? Just grab radiant from a few solar head shots, shoot rocket and barrier champ and its ignition tick dmg breaks the barrier champs shield and continues to damage the champ lol

The ignitions it creates so easily also stuns unstoppable... So this season dragons Breath is a true swiss army knife for anti champion use.
Combine it with seacant filaments and u got all 3 types covered
Apotheosis, pop super after throwing a fusion , melee and dragon breath and just spam grenades melees and all those ignitions triggers DB and you got insane damage for 8 seconds

There are so many synergies with this weapon. Another good one that is similar is the shards of galanor combo.....fire rocket throw knives to proc revitalizing blast throw BB swap to fusion with controlled burst or vorpal or bait and switch whatever you like/got all the damage sources will get you your super back( plus half from shards) in another 10 seconds or so.....for moderate to long damage phases this build puts out crazy damage.
Add on a strand or stasis debuff with the new fusion thst rolls with slice....boom even more damage on top of that. Also use ember of wonder( ignitions make orbs) and well in bosses with lots of adds around you can fire off a rocket throw your super then dodge with powerful attraction and you can damn near throw your BB back to back....
I was running this on the new dungeon and I used my super 3 timed during the damage rotation on the second orge boss, nearly got the 4 off but missed it by a second.
One of these days we'll have enough passive weapons for every member of a fireteam to have their own weapon to passively deal damage! (3 down, only 3 to go)

This thing is perfect for when I'm running lucky pants wardens law and don't really need a heavy for add clear or main dps. Pop the rocket, do my lucky pants damage burst and pop another rocket or throw knives if I need the ignition for reload. Lucky Wardens Law already does disgusting damage and having that passive damage at the same time only makes it better.
Having an Eremite as backup too, man that is some good damage
I love this rocket launcher, from the first shot I was like "Oh yea, this is good" Gally never dropped for me in D1, so Dragons Breath is all I had. Glad it's back and better than ever.
One utility that isn’t mentioned…ignitions stagger bosses, this RL is really good at stun locking bosses, especially in a fire and forget manner. It’s so good for solo play, the second warlords boss and others bosses that pressure you with its movement
While Warlock and Titan can get some really good stuff out of it, hands down Hunters have the strongest interactions with Dragon's Breath. From Weighted Knife to instantly detonate a scorched target, to knife trick to instantly finish scorch stacking this season with the artifact mod, to exotics like Shards of Galanor for more blade barrage uptime, Ophidia Spathe for a completely consistent loop on Dragon's Breath, or even Caliban's Hand to both replace knife trick's functionality on bosses and cause insta-ignitions on trash mobs.
To turn off your brain, throw on Ophidia Spathe, Knife Trick, Gambler's Dodge, Ember of Singeing, and Dragon's Breath. Been running it since the start of the season and especially with these artifact mods you can fully loop the rocket every time you dodge.

Idk bro the song of flame dps loop with this rocket is gnarly. Warlocks do best with this weapon imo
The catty took me from a 3 phase to a 2 phase on the second boss of the new dungeon, safe to say it’s good.
i wish the fuel counter was always visible when the gun has ammo, bc sometimes hearing the autoloading sound is really hard mid combat
Be nice and go level this catalyst in Dares of Eternity where you can get regenerative heavy ammo
The hard part is to get calibration data, not really the kills 😑
@@katharsis1926 If you get lvl 22(I think) on the battlepass, you get the 4x calibration data boost. Its really not worth grinding data without that.

For all heavy weapon farms please just go to the cosmodrome. Go to the area behind Shaw Han where the walker spawns kill it every person that opens the chest spawns 4 heavy bricks. Ad's spawn infinitely walker spawns 30 seconds after its killed dummy easy heavy farm. Not unusual to see 50-100 heavy bricks just laying on the ground. No wasting rally flags no having to worry about about a blueberry knocking of the ledge and losing Star horses favor.
Btw all exotic rockets should have tracking by default
Adding Solar Grenades on every detonation would be even HOTTER!🥵
I am pleasantly surprised at the wanton destruction this weapon levies upon our wretched enemies. I fire, turn away, and when I turn back what do I see? Fire, fire everywhere, and all my enemies are cinders.

This man really showed us everything but what we actually wanted to see.
Dragons breath used like witherhoard with supremacy shots used in between for dps vs full wolf pack rounds legend rocket launcher dps.
What matters is the total damage you can put out in a damage phase. Using it the correct way. If you use legends with wolf packs for damage you have to use dragons breath with supremacy shots in between shots.
If the damage phase is between like 15-25 You're still getting out dpsed with a proper rocket rotation with some form of instant loading. As long as the legendary rocket user has ammo , they're going to be achieving higher dps , argent ordnance this season also makes things like cold comfort dumping alot stronger (even if the deleted ballidorse) , this thing is really only reserved for ppl who either can't or don't want to do things like izi gl rocket rdm/ RoF , or you're doing a solo dungeon or something , especially for the new dungeon's second encounter , DB cooks pretty damn hard (no pun intended) . But no for pure dps stick to the izi gl rocket cycles or double shotty cycles(bait supremacy does now cook pretty hard sitting at around a 130k dps range but is not very good for a rocket cycle as your rocket is stealing all your bait n switch timer so it makes for a very funky loadout to use ) .
kinetic tremors supremacy, smg of choice and dragons gonna be a nice dps rotation
the lv100 ornament makes the sight glow so its a little more user friendly when you have to focus on stuff rather than the exhausts glowing

Dawn Chorus may not do that much for boss dps but it does push the needle during neutral game when you're killing ads. I've noticed I was able to trigger ignitions far more consistently during master dungeon runs simply because I had that helmet on. Definitly worth having on as a passive boost or a switch exotic just like Apothesis Veil.
The best Truth catalyst they can go for imo is one that grants a Target lock effect per mag, ramping the 2nd and 3rd rockets damage to match the output of, say, 4-5 rockets worth of damage. That would help it at least in DPS instances
Crazy to me that so many people (huge content creators included) are still trying to use this thing as a normal rocket launcher. GUYS: IT AUTOLOADS ITSELF. Use it like an anarchy/witherhoard, it is not good as a normal rocket launcher.
Those rockets ending explosion have killed me a painful amount of times

Pro tip, Rivens Lair doesn't count towards catalyst progress even though it's a seasonal activity. The coil does though

It's awesome for solo dps in the new dungeon without the catalyst I can only imagine how it is with it
This is a God-Send for solo players. If you aren't a warlock (Well), we use Lament for most solo dungeon bosses for survivability. The stagger makes it possible to face over powered bosses without using a sword. Game changer!
Catalyst completions at In the Deep part of shadowkeep. If you've completed it then wait till it's in rotation or use a character that hasnt completed it. No engrams or witches, constant targets and tons of ammodrops.
This weapon is so good it blows me up 60% of the time, every time.
I been working on the catalysts for this weapon and i can't tell you how many times this rocket has killed ME.... i fear the weapon i use to burn my enemies.
Do NOT fire it at x5 and move forward you WILL die🤣
Ophidia, weighted, Cartesian with whatever primary have been so fun this season with dragons breath

Dawn Chorus with Strand, scorch tics refill melee which procs unravel tics.

I used it in D1 as my go to rocket. Damn I loved it. I can't say how much this THIS DRAGONS final form is what I wished so bad for. Thanks for the video.
I end up using foetracer on blade barrage, or apotheosis veil post-buff on well, and a fusion rifle for the in-between rocket shots
It’s also important to note you don’t have to stick a rocket into an enemy target…. You can place the rocket on top of a ceiling in a building and it will rain down fuel

I know I'm a madman... but I need to tell people that STARFIRE PROTOCOL might be a pretty sleeper play combined with dragon's breath DPS setups.
Ember of Benevolence increases your ability recharge while teammates are in your well of radiance, and damaging enemies while in well charges your grenade.
Between the damage ticks from dragon's breath, your other dps weapon, AND benevolence regen, you should be getting fusion grenades super often which both helps procc ignitions for dragon's breath and also deals massive damage to the boss.
Could be useful for longer DPS phases such as warpriest, for example
I think it sounds like Dragon's Breath might actually do well on my Sentinel Titan. I build into grenades with Weakening and Extended Timer + Controlled Demolitionist on Vortex Grenades. Yeet Super Vortex Grenade -> Fire Rocket = Massive Damage from Scorch, Ignitions, and the Volatile Explosions that all of that damage is proccing, all of which is better due to the Weakening effect and even afterwards, Volatile Explosions will still get triggered from all the DoT.
You should be playing Gambit next week. Dragons Breath with catalyst is so good for primeval damage. If you’re a titan, one two punch and synthoceps with double/triple heavy handed reaps waves insanely hard and thruster is the chefs kiss with triple powerful attraction. Run it with a max range occluded finality.
Remember, if you’re not optimized for gambit, you’re not playing gambit correctly.

I have been using it with wardens law+lucky pants. Loads of fun for onslaught.
So some information : This rocket actually does more damage than apex with gally buffed per shot , It does roughly 6-7% more dmg than the wipescreen number tells you . And the other thing is a bit of speculation ( so take it with a grain of salt) , Argent ordnance's description says "Deal increased rocket damage until you reload or stow the weapon" , this potentially means that in the way you normally use this thing (shoot and then swap off to something else) the perk might be not benefitting you much like vorpal not working if you swap off the weapon.
I feel like either way, argent ordnance isn't going to help much at all. Why use it when I can run solar surges and have a huff for all of my rockets, rather than just a few?
@@infinitedeath1384 because you won't be having them for just a few if you're using the typical legendary rocket setup. I think is a bit meddlesome when solo but in a squad is easily manageable. the strat would be to swap to a charge piece to get 6 armour charges then pickup orbs that your ally supers produces. alternatively for apex you will only need six anyway as you can easily fire 2 rockets with 1 argent proc when rocket dumping. still need to test whether dodge reloading gets rid of your stacks but yh. and for cold comfort ur shooting 4 with 1 stack (5 with glitch), meaning you're only going to need 7 charges or 1 more envious double rocket to shoot all 10 off. Also the reason for argent is that it stacks with everything is not like the old argent when it was a mod.
Solar Titan with one shot maul goes fucking nuts with a riptide.

This is going to be insane with the Radiance knock off super warlocks are getting in Final Shape. Getting bonus Solar weapon damage coupled with ability spam to make ignitions will probably let you just UNLOAD Dragon's Breath rockets constantly.
I highly recommend running the coil and or the pressage exotic mission for a crap ton of progress towards the catalyst mission.

Would rather not run overload rockets. It doesn't say "always overcharged" when this modifier is active. Just means ignitions caused by Dragon's Breath will no longer stun Unstoppable champs. Use something will chill clip, to stun Overloads.
I'm pretty sure that any weapon that is on the artifact is 'always overcharged' for that season though. I know I've read it somewhere as well 👍🏻
The second this exotic came out I started salivating. My royal executioner can finally shine.
I have rsther fond memories of the OG dragons breath. My buddy and I would always 2-man OG crota with it.
It’s a sweet rocket launcher , at first I didn’t like it but know I can’t live without. It does some serious damage
Dragon's breath can give you 5 free golden gun deadshot bullets. I wonder if those extra shots work with SES
Ngl in NF/GM or Lost Sector it's doing some serious job. Tremendous damage when nicely combined to different buffs, 2 stun types and can shred ads really fast and really effectively
The eventual ornament for Dragon's Breath needs to be a gnarly chinese dragon design.
This exotic is perfect with drang baroque or a weapon with incandescent.

I did my Warlods Ruin solo flawless yesterday with Dragon's, i used it for the 2nd and last boss. I'm a casual btw, so yeh i know 💀
For the 2nd boss, it's very good since it stuns the ogre, and then u can do dps with another weapon.
But for the boss... it's not the best (it was my best option unfortunately), but you can do like around or more than 1 million per floor, which means like 3 phases, again not the best, but for a support rocket, it seems awesome, lets see how it will works after this season without the seasonal mods.

Dragon’s Breath seems to work well with Argent Ordinance and Surge mods paired together. Run your three surges, two time dialations, and Argent Ordinance. Then using Dragon’s Breath in a rotation will allow you to get some decent mileage out of surges and Ordinance whereas if you just spam rockets you’re gonna immediately use up all your stacks of armor charge.
WellLock with Starfire and Ember of Benevolence to hotswap fusion grenade with the new rotation gives enough ignitions to pump your DPS up in any team activity.
I completely disregarded this exotic as I'm not a huge fan of Rocket Launchers. but i have been pairing this with my hunter with Caliban's Hand, and my god, it sets the world on fire
I found that having the overload perk stopped the ignitions from stunning unstoppables while i was lunning lost sector's yesterday.
My old gripe with this gun is that if you step in the fuel, it will blow you up regardless of resilence or healing. Getting really tired of blowing myself up. This is why i never use glavies, GLs, or gunpowder gamble.
I hope the additional two rows of artifact mods coming with episodes are more like the stuff at then end of the artifact instead of the beginning
Bro i never felt so guilty in my life when cross said "you dont have to do 40 games of gambit" in my defense gambit is really fast and i wanted the caty now. Also I got my god roll Breakneck out of it. So im done with gambit until Final Shape if theres another exotic i gotta calibrate.
It took me 3 resets to get the roll I wanted on breakneck because I accidentally deleted the 1st god roll I had 😭 talk about pain…

This weapon has been such a huge surprise, i love it. Its especially nesty for solo play.
I love how "it will kill you" is the very last words. This gun will fuck you up lol

just to add regarding the moronic rocket killing you thing, it also kills teammates if they walk near to the target hit with the rocket, it's not an always effect though, I was doing coil the other day and died to some muppet on my team spamming it into the wyvern boss on phase 4 of the place, and when it did the slam jump move (I was full health and had jumped out of the impact area so dmg taken should have been minimal), and I got 1 shot, in the kill feed it said 'killed by the architects' with a solar dmg symbol next to it, that boss only does void damage (it hadn't done the generic boss stomp that leaves fire on the floor), so keep that in mind if you take it into multiplayer activities with moving targets, especially where revives are limited etc.
Dragons Breath / Overture are by far my fav exotics now

Additionally using sun bracers for my warlock also works really well.
Calibrating data for this weapon drags on though.

Dragons Breath still very much very good till today and I use it with my healing flame ability.

Since they butchered the effectiveness of Dawn Chorus, I'd use Sunbracers instead since it's basically unlimited explosions everywhere
Here’s a tip. Run this weeks night fall. Use titan with pyrogale gauntlets. dragons breathe and Laugh as you watch the Scorn Burn 🔥!!
I've been balls deep into Solar with my Titan Scars build with Dragon's Breath and Epochal Integration... and I feel invincible while also exploding everything around me.
