Yeah, this episode was kind of a jumbled mess. The parts with the yaks were really annoying, but the parts with Pinkie were really fun. And the pacing was kind of weird and- what? NO! Cartoonz got GoldenFox! Somebody warn Keyframe!
I had mixed feelings on this episode. I enjoyed Pinkie 's portrayal and her journey but the Yaks were really big jerks. Great review Golden ^^ Toon will beat that Cartoonz once and for all and so very soon he will never ruin his and others lives again
Personally I'm miffed that we didn't get an official Ringo Starr pony...and the Yaks wrecking everything was quickly annoying AND SCREW YOU CARTOONZ!!!
unlike many I don't mind the yaks that much. I just think they should have split this episode up into 2. They actually should have made the episode just about Twilight. My main issue though was that the mane 6 didn't get angry at the destruction of their stuff.
Ha, i couldn't help but join you in the singing. I have similar problems with the episode as far as the journey, but what redeemed this episode for me was the secret cave secene where we see Pinkie's dedication, which gives her more character depth. Also, i couldn't help but---CARTOONZ what the hell are you doing here!? You'll get your behind kicked sooner than later.
the beginning is so funny. I'm like that when I'm singing my head off even with my boyfriend. he's better at it than me, he doesn't care if someone hears him singing
Can someone tell me what's supposedly up with this ToonCritic ... version or whatever? It seems to be an attempt at a new cross-mlp-reviewer/analyst thing, like the one that originally started up the Rift Café, but so far, i'm not impressed, as I don't follow reviewers or analysts very much.
+RubberyCat Long story short, CarToonZ was the evil persona of ToonKriticY2K there for a while before T.K. redid his O.C. and now it turns out that-Actually, the best thing for you to do is check out "The CarToonZ Saga" and T.K.'s channel. It goes more into detail than I ever hope to
I'm surprised a Randon Keyframe didn't jump out of the void on the mention of Beatles X3> I think this episode would have been much more effective if it was restructured. It should start on the train as Pinkie recaps the previous events, then cuts off to either more flashbacks or events in Ponyville, while Pinkie has her weird adventures as well as either talks to the 4th wall or bothers other travelers. It would give it a better time scale and might balance out the Yaks being unbearable by making them seem more patient.
Good to see another review from you, Fox! It's been too long! I am in complete agreement with you on Party Pooped. Pinkie Pie saved that episode from being the worst of its season.
As much as Pinkie's journey was fun, I never got why it was the journey that made her realize that she should make equestria-themed party, and not try hard for the yak things. Like. Yak plot - journey - yak plot and cool moral but which came out of nowhere. At least it's how I feel.
Fo me, Pinkie's travel was fun on its own, so Pinkie getting back to Ponyville after all her efforts just for comedy sake didn't bother me in the least. But yes, Yaks were still issue of this episode, so those who can somehow tolerate their apperances will certainly enjoy this episode.
The one concern I have about this episode is not the Yaks' behavior, not the story...But Twi's odd fear of quesadillas. What's so scary about those things
Go GoldenFox, way to recover man. Btw I will be participating in my very first Collab THIS weekend with FlutterRose! And yea, the Yaks sound like complete Caveman Idiots. Honestly i was on the verge of changing the channel but i stuck too it till the end and thankfully it turned out ok!
Nice job on the review bro, I do agree with the whole getting out and trying new cultures bit. But in my point of view, that's still no excuse fort the yaks doing that to the ponies. Especially when they tried so hard to please them. Especially when it came to Pinkie! I mean sweet Luna, she has a secret party planning cave for years to come for every pony! Maybe I'm thinking too into it, but still, congrats are still given for an awesome job bro ^^
CartoonZ...well I know this will lead up to the rematch Toon is having with him, but I have the feeling Fox will find a way to get away from him. that or Toon somehow saves him with CartoonZ not knowing.
From what I remember, the point of Pinkie's Journey was to show a few difference in different parts of Equestria, but that they are still similar in their kindness and friendship. This is part of why Pinkie came to her final conclusion of showing the Yaks what's great about Equestria, instead of trying to make Equestria feel like Yakyakistan. *sigh* this cartoonz thing is feeling as drawn out as any Cena/Orton feud in my opinion >.> just waiting for Toon to draw from a modern feud and copy TNA with a "Final Deletion" video event -.-
It only took a month. Cartoonz moves a lot slower than you'd think. And he still can get Silver, Josh, Key, or several others. I thought he couldn't get Fox either. And he didn't, chloroform is cheating.
While I may not have very persuasive things to say, I'm just going to say them. I think the reason the yaks got so offended when they tried to copy yak material was because it didn't work. It's like my dad and I walking into a supposed Chinese restaurant but being served an American attempt at Chinese food. They didn't do a good job at trying to replicate it so we would get irritated because they tried to make something we love but ruined it. And for the sled throwing Pinkie all the way back, I believe it was fate it already predetermined that she plan the party using nonyak material but she tried to fight Gaye like Twilight did in that episode where she tried to stop fate but messed up because fate must run its course. Still though, I may be wrong.
Is there a trend with people listening to music when videos start now? Lol. First Aeon, now you hehe. *After video* NOO!!! GOLDIE!!! OMG KEY IS SO GOING TO KICK HIS A- aaa FLANK!
So, 3 things... one, you can't be much worse at singing than I can get; two, I have indifference towards this episode, mostly thanks to the fact that the yaks were portrayed as ruthless assholes; and three, WHAT THE FUCK TOONKRITIC?
This was a fun review. I guess the rule of thumb is that everything that doesn't have the yaks in it is good, and everything with the yaks is annoying as heck. For me, I was reminded of some of the early episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation where, because of some plot contrivance or other, the Enterprise crew had to play along with the insane dictates of some jackoff under the guise of respecting his culture. It made everyone look bad: it made the natives look bad because they were turned into savages compared to the logical, reasoning Enterprise crew; while the Enterprise people looked like spineless wimps for kowtowing to utter insanity lest they 'offend' the cultural sensibilties of people guilty of kidnapping and attempted rape. So yeah, it left an unpleasant taste all around. This episode wasn't as bad as that, of course. I really did like seeing a glimpse of just how hard Pinkie works at her parties. She makes it look so effortless (that and her breaking physics on a daily basis) that you don't really think about. The tears in her eyes as she thanked her friends ... that was something special. The rest ... not so much. Overall it was just kind of an average episode to me. Not bad, not great ... just okay. I'd have no problem rewatching it again, but I wouldn't go out of my way to put it on either. Call it a three out of five.
I might be stretching what I'm about to say here, but the Yaks remind me a lot of the type of fans that you cannot please no matter what you do. I'm not targeting the MLP community exclusively, but every community has this. Just look at the Sonic community if you need any proof of that. I find the Yaks to be a mixed bag. On the one hand, I love the connection they have to these types of fans and their "gimmick" for a lack of a better term is pretty funny to me. On the other hand, they can get repetitive pretty darn quickly and come off as douchebags for their perfectionist mentality. I'm indifferent towards the Yaks in general, but I can see why others would hate them. The Pinkie antics in this episode were great. Pinkie's my favorite character in the show, so I'm naturally biased in favor for what she does, and I loved how this episode used her zaniness to its advantage. The biggest laugh I got from the episode was when she was describing her Beatles-esq journey, and suddenly Cadance shows up. The delivery and the timing made me crack up the first time I saw it. Pinkie was just on fire in this episode, though admittedly the part where she slides all the way back to Ponyville was a bit on the "stretching it" side, though this isn't the worst the show has had in that department. I can agree though when you said the episode is a mess. I feel that the episode's biggest problem is the sub plot with the other Mane 5. While I don't mind this part too much, the Yaks' routine does wear thin after a while, and them declaring war on Ponyville was a bit too extreme, even if the type of fans do the same thing. Overall, while Party Pooped is admittedly a mess, I still really like it. I love the connection the Yaks make to unpleaseable fans, Pinkie's comedy was just amazing, and it was a fun episode throughout. This episode is what I like to call a "Milage May Vary," episode. You might like it, you might not, and in Goldie's case, you might be conflicted. Overall, solid episode, though it is a bit on the messy side.
Oh the yaks do remind me of petty fans and cam easily name a few who fits this. But they also remind me of the sjw asking for culture to be treated with respect and just shits on you when they think you did it wrong when you really tried your best.
With the help of this video I arrived at the same conclusion. A can-do-no-right is every bit as flawed as a can-do-no-wrong, but at least with the latter you're less likely to get trampled on.
Before I even listen to the review, I'm just gonna say it right off the bat: I have seen plenty of episodes that I found average at best, but this is so far the only episode in the entire series I actually hated mostly because the first half was so unpleasant and I hated the way the episode basically rewarded the yaks for being ungrateful brats. The second half had moments that kind of made up for all of it, but not enough to save it.
Let me guess. Cheap way to win the Review Battle against Toon or you have another plan in mind? *sigh* Always playing by your own rules in your type of game. I guess that's how you roll. Just to let you know...Cliche. You know how those end in every battle. Welp. Good Luck. Cartoonz.
Ugh this episode really represent how pinkie got screwed over in season 5. Her episodes are crap and her secondary character status is wonky at best. But at least she didn’t got what spike got. Also the lesson didn't work because why would accept these assholes for destroying half of the property. Also Twilight scared of quesadillas, fuck that joke. Also it's nice to see the plot line of cartoonsz starting. About time.
There are many words I'd use to describe this episode and The One Where Pinkie PIe Knows, but "crap" isn't one of them. And honestly, while I acknowledge that Princess Spike IS among season 5's weaker episodes, I still think it's good.
+funcoolfunfun I see. I just hate how pinkie never got a good episode when she is the king of good episodes. As for spike, I'm just tired of his abuse.
AnimeWolfgamer Honestly, I find every episode to be good, on their own. As for Spike, I honestly don't mind it, since those jokes DO actually tend to be kind of funny.
"Wannabe reviewers." he says, about channels that for the most part have more subscribers than his. And the subs he DOES have are ToonKritic's, NOT CarToonZ.
Honestly this persona stuff dull the crap out anything who care someone was there own bully the rule about bullying to show them they go power by you engage with this just spiral out even if you was you repent to your change. We all wear mask i can say i have taken my off number of times. The mask is only one thing is yourself in another light there no prefect person if we was all the same. We would be drones with one color and one face. Sometime you might need to get rough with your other side in order to say enough. He the Madness to your Bravery everyone has it.
Yeah, this episode was kind of a jumbled mess. The parts with the yaks were really annoying, but the parts with Pinkie were really fun. And the pacing was kind of weird and- what? NO! Cartoonz got GoldenFox! Somebody warn Keyframe!
Ohh... that last part with CarToonz was a bit creepy.
I Love it.. give me more!
Ahhhh, the Beatles gag: One of those moments I wish had a whole episode dedicated to fleshing it out.
I mean, come on. PINKIE STARR!
Pinkie Starr!! I could imagine her, singing Octopus's Garden... IDEA!!
If you hurt GoldenFox you will know the true meaning of pain
I had mixed feelings on this episode. I enjoyed Pinkie 's portrayal and her journey but the Yaks were really big jerks. Great review Golden ^^ Toon will beat that Cartoonz once and for all and so very soon he will never ruin his and others lives again

The Yaks acted like little toddlers throwing a tantrum every scene.
Enough said.
GoldenFox! CarToonZ this has gone far enough!
no,no if he gets silver quill, then he's gone far enough
Can someone tell me what's supposedly up with this ToonCritic ... version or whatever? It seems to be an attempt at a new cross-mlp-reviewer/analyst thing, like the one that originally started up the Rift Café, but so far, i'm not impressed, as I don't follow reviewers or analysts very much.

Maybe that'll be expanded upon later.
They're so... cheesy. :P
Or they added that to make twilight more "human" and relatable.
I thought that ending was when GoldenFox was getting ready for a review but thanks to stinking CarToonZ tormenting GoldenFox
the intro to your show is still fun to watch.
I see were this is going. You're a really vicious snake, CartoonZ.
Yes he is
Go GoldenFox, way to recover man. Btw I will be participating in my very first Collab THIS weekend with FlutterRose! And yea, the Yaks sound like complete Caveman Idiots. Honestly i was on the verge of changing the channel but i stuck too it till the end and thankfully it turned out ok!
Oh crap, somebody find Brawny. And tell him to bring alot of swords.
Nice job on the review bro, I do agree with the whole getting out and trying new cultures bit. But in my point of view, that's still no excuse fort the yaks doing that to the ponies. Oh no, Golden! Watch out, a troll is........ oh...to late... Welp I tried
you NEED to do lullaby for a princess if you haven't already
Aeon, what have you done? Goldenfox finally comes back on, and freaking Cartoonz comes and spoils it..... This aughta be good.
I felt the same way about the Yaks. Honestly, I hate them more than Diamond Tiara (Before she was reformed)
Oh dear, well at least CarToonz hasn't got firebrand, silver or me... Yet
CarToonZ has gone far enough. Quick!!!!! Call the Daleks!!!
Daleks Cybermen and sontaurins. with miniguns
at times like this ya wish ya had a TARDIS key just to make the point of getting daleks and cybermen involved is NEVER a good idea!
No. Nonononononononono! Fox! Holy sh*t, CarToonZ got to Fox!!
It only took a month. Cartoonz moves a lot slower than you'd think. And he still can get Silver, Josh, Key, or several others. I thought he couldn't get Fox either. And he didn't, chloroform is cheating.
I hope Toon mops the FLOOR with this jerk 😠😠😠
+Thiendrah not silver or key. Josh on the other hand. I hope he ties him up and puts him in a desert.
+Thiendrah seriously Josh is the worst.
+Magic Note me too

GoldenFox, I love your singing voice in the beginning, it's cute (I'm a flirter but I'm not stealing him from you Keyframe).
you have a lovely singing voice please sing more please I'd really love to hear your do your own rendition of popular songs or whatever songs you like
CarToonZ ... you will pay for this >=( Fox did nothing to you
you WILL end up give back ToonKritic channel back that sir.... is a promise

Thanks. I've been around people like the Yaks before, hence why I drew the comparisons between the two.
Yeah me too. I just never thought about it that way. =) You learn something new everyday.
I was down the middle of this episode myself.
welp least cartoonz hasnt gone after silver quill yet
Seriously,Golden fox needs to be rescued from the hooves is cartoonz.

GOLDIE!
The Yaks declared Beast wars . Beast wars is best transformers show

7:38 it's CarToonZ!!
What were you singing golden fox??
I'm guessing the yaks are parody characters to all the 3rd-wave feminist and SJW's on the internet. Pretty much like Principal PC from South Park.
Oh great, Cartoonz had gotten to GoldenFox.
when did he start going by CartoonZ more often than ToonKritick?
Update: I get it now.
*gets flamethrower * Lets Go BOI!!!!!

Huh, well that happened.

So what scrap of hell has TK unleashed this time?
