Fun fact, my great grandpa cleaned the crown jewels for more than 50 years, with regards to how do they keep it clean, in his words "you can't beat hot water" haha. It's so nice to see you exploring my home city, and so cool to see it through the eyes of a tourist. Hope you enjoyed your trip!
I loved this vlog! I’m Scottish so it just makes me so proud when people come here and Edinburgh is such a beautiful city. I’m so glad you and Clay are enjoying it and packing so much in so you get the full experience. Looking forward to part 2!
I live near Glasgow and I'm about to start at Edinburgh uni so I love seeing people I watch on UA-cam go to Scotland, it's so fun to see an outside perspective 😊🦄
This is giving me such wanderlust!!!!! oooh I want to go explore Scotland so badly. This is my dream trip! (that, and like... all of England and Ireland lol) I'm glad you had so much fun in Scotland!!!! Can't wait for part 2 :)
Regan: "We found it!" Clay: "Tom Riddle Esquire" Reagan: "Yeah. He was a lawyer." Clay: "So he was EVIL!" Reagan: *Laughs in front of grave* "Oh...sorry fair lawyer." 😂😂😂🙈🙈
My father-in-law was a journalist at the Scotsman newspaper and had his office in the building in which the hotel has been created, its got such a rich history. So glad you had a great time in Edinburgh but really sorry the weather wasn't nicer for you both as the city is even nicer in the sunshine
I'm watching your vlogs about five to ten minutes at a time as a reward for finishing a page or two of my assignments, de-stressing, and then going back to work.
Literally re-watching this as the UK announces Lockdown 2.0 because our trip to Edinburgh in 2018 was my all time favourite trip. It's probably my favourite city and I miss travelling so much! Living vicariously through these over a year old vlogs I've already seen to pretend I'm out of my tiny London flat!
I live in Perth Scotland so only an hour from Edinburgh but it always feels like I'm on holiday when we go there absolutely gorgeous u can just walk and walk love it somewhere I think everyone should see
This video makes my heart so happy!! I visited Edinburg 5 years ago and loved it. Thank you for all the sights!! Nothing better than my favorite booktuber doing a travel vlog!!
Amazing vlog! It was cool seeing some of the inside of the castle. I live and study in Edinburgh and there is a superstition that students can’t visit the castle until after they have graduated, if they do they will fail their degree! I’m glad you have enjoyed Scotland!
Went to England, Scotland and Skye in October of last year. (On an earlier video when you mentioned planning your trip, I suggested Fossil Cottage just outside of Broadford as a place to stay.) It was my third time for England/Scotland; first for Skye. Would go back in a heartbeat. I love the UK. Edinburgh always gives me goosebumps it’s so beautiful. And Skye...ah Skye! Can’t wait to see part two.
So weird seeing you walk around where I live! I actually know where you were! I'm so glad you enjoyed the city though it is so gorgeous and you taught me about the Diagon Alley street so thank you and I walk that street most days :/ hope you enjoyed the rest of your time in the UK!
I was in Edinburgh back in February. Also went on a ghost tour. And was completely fine until the last five minutes. Not sure which company you went with, but holy hell. Almost literally scared the shit out of me. 😂
This is particularly fun to me as I was in Edinburgh at the same time as you were, which was really cool to me since this is the closest I will probably ever be to one of my favourite booktubers. Also lived right next to the Botanical Gardens so that hilly walk to the centre was a daily occurrence.
I was waiting for this!! I've been living in Scotland for the last 4 years and youre my favourite youtuber and I was really excited to which places you visited and whether you enjoyed it here!
Yayyy, so glad you have a series of vlogs of your trip to Scotland! I'd head to the Harry Potter shop in London too if I could :D . I'd love to see Scotland some day as well as all of the inspirational areas for Harry Potter, The Royal Botanical Gardens, Arthur's Seat and visit some of the bookshops!
You are the inspiration behind me starting my own booktube channel so thank you so much Regan for being an awesome booktube ☺ your vlogs are the best by far and I can't wait to see part 2!
I just read City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab and I loved it, and it mentions a lot of the places you visited. That's so cool. Going to Scotland is a must for me as an Outlander fan and history buff
It was so fun to see you in Britain (even though I'm in London and have never actually been to Scotland. Okay, once when it was 2. It doesn't count if i don't actually remember it!
You should check out Longwood Gardens in PA if you've never been before! It looks very similar to the botanical garden you visited, I think you would really love it! It's right outside of Philadelphia :)
It's very funny allthe time we see Americans in Europe... I used to play tennis with my bro on the porch of a 12th century church and my school was next to a middle Ages castle. I'm so used to these old stones, it is nice to find people who appreciate them.
You’ve packed so much into a week in the burgh! Arthur’s seat and the botanics are well worth your time :D On a scale of 1 to distraught, how’ve you dealt with a week without reading?
This looks like such an amazing adventure. 😍 I'm glad you both got to experience that. I hope to some day travel the world myself. It's a dream of mine
Omg! If I ran into Macey Williams I would definitely ask for a picture which I get they're normal people going about their day, but how many times is that going to happen in your life? lol I never really met anyone famous just walking around lol. I so want to go to Scotland and London though!
Can I ask did you use a travel agent for this, or book all on your own? I have a honeymoon coming up and was curious of your experience booking/traveling to multiple places internationally.
What's Clay's favorite thing to do?
"Throw rocks at glass houses." *runs off*
Love him
“Everywhere is old stuff, including Clay” 😂😂
Clay is the gift that keeps on giving😂

He must have been a trustworthy guy 😂
I like to use soap when cleaning the crown jewels but each to their own
I loved this vlog! I’m Scottish so it just makes me so proud when people come here and Edinburgh is such a beautiful city. I’m so glad you and Clay are enjoying it and packing so much in so you get the full experience. Looking forward to part 2!

You'll want to go to Wales too, it's the best part of the UK

God bless you for pronouncing Edinburgh right. But hate to be that gal but it's pronounced Glasgo. Hope you had a great time looks great !
As in Glasg-oh! Not Glasg-ow!
It's really interesting to see a tourist perspective of home
I must visit the castle. The thing is, when you showed the view from the castle you can see where I live, yet, I've never visited the castle.
So weird seeing you walk around where I live! I actually know where you were! I'm so glad you enjoyed the city though it is so gorgeous and you taught me about the Diagon Alley street so thank you and I walk that street most days :/ hope you enjoyed the rest of your time in the UK!
I sleep with rain sounds too!! 😂 this video was a blast.. kinda inspired to visit these places now! Have fun

I don’t think I clicked on a video this fast! (I went to Scotland 2 months ago, so this is very relatable.) ❤️
It was so fun to see you in Britain (even though I'm in London and have never actually been to Scotland. Okay, once when it was 2. It doesn't count if i don't actually remember it!

Ahhhh I'm heading to Europe at the end of the year and this majorly made me want to go to Edinburgh
going to Scotland without an umbrella lol, and I laughed at how your pronounce bouffet, sounds like our French bouffé which means eaten.
ahhh I visited Scotland 2 years ago and this brought back so many memories. I LOVED Edinburgh (possibly more than London).
Regan I love you! Thank you for inspiring me to make my own booktube❤️
So cool that you’re bringing us along on your trip! Can’t wait for the next part :-)
