- Drum performance filmed and recorded by Luke Oswald using EZdrummer 3 from @Toontrack and e-drums and cymbals from Jobeky.
This is an improvised swung/hip hop performance recorded directly into EZdrummer 3 using the Core Library "Tight Room", with the Modern and Edgy "Distorted" preset. The present only had minor volume modification to instrument levels and mix adjustments to the Reverb "Wet" and "Size" knobs within EZdrummer 3.

The performance MIDI was recorded and mixed within EZdrummer 3. The MIDI was recorded directly into EZdrummer 3 using a Roland TD-30 drum module and Jobeky electronic drums and cymbals.
I also use the Porter & Davies tactile monitoring system. The Porter & Davies BC Gigster is used for the DrumAngle studio configuration and the Porter & Davies BC2 is used for live performance and practice setups.

Such a cool sounding preset! In your opinion is it worth getting ezdrummer if you already have superior drummer? I really dig the sounds I’ve been hearing out of ez drummer.
I think it does. I did it because Superior Drummer's core library can never sound so dry, and the only chance you'd get to being close to this sound would be to get some ezdrummer libraries like UK POP, or Singer Songwritter for example, but I don't think it comes close to ezdrummer's core libraries... and you couldn't get them separately if you wanted to.
@@JuanJacinto Yes! The dry factor is my major issue. SD3 sounds amazing but I can’t make it sound flat or dead. Not like what I’ve heard from EZ3. Thanks for chiming in. Appreciate it!
Hi Erik, I would say it is definitely worth getting EZdrummer 3, even if you already have Superior Drummer 3. The core library of EZdrummer 3 is fantastic. You get three rooms/libraries in the core library and they all sound great, with amazing presets to go with it. You also get the MIDI that comes with EZdrummer 3, and the BandMate feature as well.
Then as a bonus since you own Superior Drummer 3, you can open the EZdrummer 3 library from Superior Drummer 3 and utilize all of the great sound design and performance features it has to offer. This allows you add or change the EZdrummer 3 core library presets, whether by changing instruments, stacking, changing velocity responses, envelope, etc., or jumping into the Superior Drummer 3 mixer and creating mix variations or brand new mixes using the built in FX and routing, which is a lot of fun to do.
