Looking forward to the Rieju disassembly and resurrection ! I'd like to see a "walk around" your shop, and your tool sets. All the stuff you use to do that work, like specialty tools, and tools you fabricated yourself to avoid stupid high manufacturer prices. Having somewhat of a machine shop in my garage, I make all sorts of little specialty tools to do stuff. Often I find that for my vintage old 50's Norton (Whitworth) I have to fab up something special to work on that old bike, which right now is a basket case.
Good result, now you can asses what further work you want to do over the winter rebuild. Keep an eye on the auction sites and if you go to autojumbles for an engine or even another bike ( Thats how collections start LOL).
out of interest ive had the same gear box issue as you and need to take it apart however can find no information on assembly and most importantly timing the engine may i ask how you managed to time the engine
Mine was clicking aswell I thought jt might be due to having little oil so I topped it up but it still clicks. Is it not the engine knocking? Also I might of over filled the oil
Cheers Dave. Yes in the LC version of this bike it is a Yamaha WR engine, but the AC is based off a Honda CG 125 and is actually a Chinese made engine I recently found out.

Well done Alf, isn’t it a Yamaha engine in that? If so you should be able to get a manual for it from Yamaha ?

Hi there did you have to buy a starter motor for yours I can't find one any way for my bike
no I had one. Try Chinese motorcycle parts suppliers
Don’t suppose you have the timing marking
Do you know where to get a throttle cable for these I just got the same bike
Try lpmx
