According to the brochure, the single coil pickups were blades, underneath those black covers. So you could take a look at that to see exactly how close the green one is to a real Blazer. Btw, I still have mine, bought new in Jan/Feb 81, before they started putting the black line on the headstock. You've done well to find two with the black plastic toggle on the pickup selector. Mine split and fell apart within a couple of years!
I had the exact same guitar new in 1980… my first guitar but with humbuckers, I still have it! It’s very different now but it’s a cool guitar, modded over the years and in a few pieces at the moment 🙄🤣
I have a guitar similar to this Jarock. Mine is a rose metalflake with a matching headstock. It doesn't have a name on the headstock. It has the good humbuckers like the Blazer. Mine says "sample" in Japanese on the neck heel and also says BL300. I showed a pic of the heel to a Japanese guitar dealer that I know and that who decipher the characters for me. Since BL300 stands for Blazer 300, it might be made by Ibanez.

Oh very interesting! Thanks for this, I will do just this and let you know!
No probs. (Of course I meant "the Ibanez brochure" not "the obscure green guitar brochure" ... )
@@xoxb2 haha 🤣 yes mate
Under $200. Bucks ? What a steal !! You must have kissed the Blarney Stone to get that one , nice buy for the money.
haha something like that yeah! Very happy with it for the price 😁
Excited to see how it (they) comes together!
Just put a short up showing the Blazer 😮
Almost exact to the Ibanez Roadstar II Series as well, except for the Power Rocker bridge.
Oh yeah I see that now I look at it! My mind went to Blazer just because I have one! Thanks bud
Beautiful color. Love that Green.
Thanks bud, it was a great guitar

Subbed. I absolutely LOVE the color on that guitar, though.
It's superb! Thanks for the sub, I'm currently making a new pickguard for this one so should have a video up soon for it.

Subbed. Roadstar II owner - looks very familiar!
Roadstar II is a stunning guitar too!! Wait until you see what I've done to my Blazer 😉 and thanks for the sub mate
The Jrock is a roadstar not Blazer.
It's actually neither but similar to both :)
Fair
So it's not a G&L great steal 👍
Haha nope 😀 I was being tricky! Thanks for watching the video and commenting bud!
