Good review, Muc-off is my go to cleaner. When I've finished I then spray over the engine and electrics under the tank with Auto Glym vinyl and rubber care....it drips off in a milky liquid and you think what have I done, but it protects and dries to a showroom finish. It actually says on the product you can do this, but not many people realise. If I only have time for a hose down I get the leaf blower and dry the bike. One thing I really don't like is the trend for 'dull' finished black wheels....it's as though the wheels have no bearing on the aesthetics of the bike. The wheels on my Tenere were awful...I had them painted and rebuilt with stainless spokes and it transformed the bike. Looking forward to seeing more of your Scrambler! Cheers, Steve
@Stephen Eldridge Thanks, I looked up Auto Glym vinyl care and it says: "6.2. Environmental precautions Spillages or uncontrolled discharges into watercourses must be reported immediately to the Environmental Agency or other appropriate regulatory body. Avoid discharge into drains or watercourses or onto the ground." I get my water from a well, and my garage drain goes in the environment, so I'm careful with what products I use and send down the drain, this would not meet these requirements even if I'm sure it works great :)
@@Speedytrip Thanks for pointing that out.....it hadn't occurred to me that it was non biodegradable!. I use it with the bike on the garage floor and a piece of cardboard underneath. We grow a lot of our own fruit and vegetables organically so I'm usually on the ball re chemicals!!!. Cheers, Steve
@@Speedytrip expensive, but do a review if you're planning to buy them. It really works on a vehicle but I want to see if it can also clean on the engine and exhaust especially when the dirt and grime is dried out from the heat of the engine.
@@RubricoA. I will review if I give them a try. So far, Motul moto wash has been the most effective on dirty engine/exhausts, requires the less brushing...but not exactly cheap either. Muck-off works great and more affordable, you just need to brush off the dirtier areas a bit to help.
Ok cool thanks! Love the Africa twin! Maybe my next bike! Will still be watching the videos to see what you get up to! What made you change? Just out of curiosity!
Amateur El Mostly the suspensions...just got tired of it on our rough roads...the africa twin isnt perfect either but a MUCH more comfortable bike for long distance touring :)
António Batel I was able to ordrr via amazon.ca but its not always available. An alternative is Motul Moto Wash, its quite expensive but Works really well.
@@Speedytrip Nice! I was worried about on its description that it says it leases a protective layer, and thought it might make the matte finish glossy… So i guess I Can put on a matte finish detailer after this no problem? Sorry i just bought my first new bike 😅
@@betweenframesproduction3968 My last 2 bikes were matt, and it just cleans it, it doesn't become shiny. The "protective layer" is clearly invisible...
@Mark Daws I sold the bike after only 3 months it was still in mint condition. When I did ride in bad conditions I would always rinse the bike with cold water after. Never had corrosion issues on any of the 20+ bikes Ive owned (including 2 Africa Twins that have a know issue with corrosion on some units).
@@Speedytrip I see you sold it because of the devaluation of getting it dirty. My advice get an older, cheaper bike and enjoy it. Alternatively by a ornament.
@QWANA THOMAS No, I sold it because I didn’t like it :) I now have a DR650 and prefer it to the Scrambler in every single way, even touring! I was never afraid of getting a bike dirty, but cleaning it once in a while allows to go over the bike which is something everyone should do.

Those roads look terrifying
EskiLdn indeed, pretty bad!
Automotive truck wash, Put through a pressure washer, or dialute 50 / 50. Can buy it from most motor factors.
Recently used by truck driver, try Chem x, Stars and Stripes. it's a touchless wash
Thanks for the suggestion, but 150$ for a gallon of each + shipping to Canada would make it pretty expensive compared to even Motul moto wash :)

Been using it for many years.
Great little video! I have a 1200xe so am looking forward to more videos on it! How do you get your wheels clean? My are a pain to get clean!

Great review! I like how you tell us about the good and bad of the product! Keep up the good work!
Touratou1 Thanks, appreciated!
Thanks for sharing great demonstration. I will give it a try.
Does it take dirt from the chain also?
Not really, WD40 will clean your chain in a heartbeat though. :)
Thanks, I'll try this. Nice ride!
I’ll give this stuff a try. I’ve been using s100 for years with good results, but just road use.
mojosdad68 Ive also had good results with s100 in the past, though more expensive and it doesnt seem to be biodegrable either.
Where did you bye this product? Canadá, any site online? Many thanks!

I use muck off motorcycle speed polish and showroom shine waterless wash and wax
Great review and great riding
Thanks! :)
Looks like good stuff!
You a Maritimer??
@Steve WK QC :)
This doesn’t ruin matte finish? Thanks!
Nop, not at all, you can spray it on everything :)

Hi, can I just check if you have had any metal corrosion on your scrambler, especially with the road conditions you ride in?

😂
How many wash does a bottle lasts?
Depends on the size of your bike and how much you use but with the 4L, I can probable wash my bike 20+ times.
So you spray with water before using the waterless cleaner?
This is not a waterless cleaner :)
Gunk Degreaser
Great vid thanks from anglesey north wales🏴🏴🏴
don't use a pressure washer it can inject water into places you don' want
Yep, you definitely don't want to use a pressure washer close to bearings or electronics.
Only stuff I use.
No to dishwash liquid!!!! (it contains salt)
No it doesn't
Every wash contains salt technically. Theres different types. You can't make a saltwater pool with road salt
S100/ power wash/ leaf blower: done 😂
Works good too, though on one of my bikes the finish on black steel turned whitish.
@@Speedytrip
Was bike cool when you washed it
@@MrWhitelightning73 It wasn’t a part that got hot.

Ah ok
Did you just pour the cleaner into a motul bike wash bottle? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Guilty, I bought the Muc-Off in a gallon hehe
@@Speedytrip I've used both and the Motul is a great bike wash as well. I use the muc-off more because it is a much better price than the motul.
