With the power to multiply herself at least five times now the bad guys have to fight five full powered Supergirls at the same time!!!! She can even make herself as big as King Kong!!!!! And we will have Marvel's the Watcher covering her back!!!!!
Jon Cryer who is best known for Two and a Half Men did a complete turn pulling off Lex Luthor in this series. He actually exceeds all expectations in this role based on his past history as an actor. I guess we all know Season 6 is the last season Melissa Benoist is under contract and she won't renew so the series is coming to an end, but at least they can plan for it and end it the way they want to. I find it interesting as long as the Arrowverse is going, none of the shows lasted as long as the original WB/CW show called Smalliville which went 10 seasons on its own with a lot lower tech special effects than these shows have.

Second, how to save an infant in free fall from 10 stories UP? Does he "merely" dive down and grab infant (ouch), or does he meet its downward velocity wrap his cape around infant and Land on pavement, or crush thru pavement and return via sewer? TOO many variables to give a "simple" physics reply to a HS mid term exam. it might take 2 pages of discovery to even try to define all the physics involved. MINUS our viewpoint of super powers. SO to my reply way back in 1968 was the question was totally irrelevant . The problem was brought to Principals office later, and returned as striken from the exam.

The CW has a lot of decent superhero shows. But they seem to have a habit of making the heroes become less powerful in some ways. I tried to watch Supergirl for the first season, but I just couldn't get used to seeing a Kryptonian get beat up. 🤔 Kinda like accepting the "fact" that Superboy hadn't learned to fly on Smallville. Love the heroes, not the network.
All these things have the powers varying to some degree in the same episode, so they can have the trope where something gets the hero to be determined, they get back up looking serious and then they win. Even though I liked Snyders justice league it does this, Wonder Woman could beat Steppenwolf by herself, at least how he is initially shown, probably even batman could, not in a fistfight, but with all his tools, yet they struggle against him for hours. The flash can move so fast he should be able to defeat him quite easily, so they have to fluctuate the power levels to make it work, or a movie wouldnt happen. I feel the biggest issue isnt that they make these characters less powerful, but they have them both more vulnerable and having the exact same powers. I would like a superman that could still survive bullets, but found them painful and irritating and could be hurt by powerful human weapons.
Regarding smallville, its wuldnt matter if he hadn't learned to fly and it lasted one season, or two, or even three, but as people enjoyed it and it made money they had him defeat every single major villain Superman ever had, before finally, in the last episode he can become superman, when there is sweet FA left to acheive.
@@dorianleakey it's just hard to get accustomed to a Kryptonian being less than what one is used to them being, which is pretty much undefeatable unless you have some form of Kryptonite or magic. But I also know that the CW tries to make the superhero a bit more "human", by showing how they can have "normal" issues to deal with; by doing that, they can relate to a broader audience. Along with the battle scenes in JL, the funny lines were great. "Children....I work with children. " "Slowpoke......" "....Oh, it's on!" "I don't......not....." 😄
