Oct 2022- “Monet” is an impressionistic artist that painted gorgeous paintings. An imparticular piece featured a garden with a waterlily covered pond done in the same colors as Agnes’ gorgeous hexi quilt that you are making her in this video.
Kate a friend once told me "if your going to believe the bad things people say about you, you have to believe the good things that people say." I get the feeling you don't quite believe the good things from the comment. Believe it you have a wonderful way of touching people's life with your channel. I''m blessed to be one of them.

I started out wishing I would hear my name announced - but when I heard it was Valerie and her background story - I was reduced to tears of happiness for Valerie and the love she will feel from Kate, Anna and all of us on the lime green sofa. Well done, Kate. Well done ❤
Congratulations, Valerie! And I wish you well with your recovery. I've worked many years as an Ortho/Neuro nurse, and can testify without any doubt, that recovery from brain injuries is a very, very slow course, but nerves Do heal, they Do rebuild, so be patient, and be diligent with your rehab. I've taken care of many others from all sorts of head trauma, surgeries, tumors, strokes, etc, and seen firsthand the small & large miracles of the human body & spirit. Wishing all the best for YOU ❤

So true I had a bilateral bleed 17 months ago and only now feeling my old self although have decided to say no more often to people who haven't understood that healing of the brain takes time, a cause of vit B12 has helped (I'm 71).

As it turns out I am also a nurse and I should know exactly what you’re saying but when you’re in the process of walking in the shoes of recovery some days it is very hard even putting these comments in is a major effort. But a year ago I couldn’t even watch a few minutes of a video now I can take it in in short bites thank you for your encouragement I will reread your message whenever I need encouragement. Thank you so much to Keith for this honor of winning that fine quilt that her hands worked so hard to make
I am so excited for Valerie! I am a retired Neuro ICU nurse and to know someone is finding ways of healing from a terrible injury makes my heart sing! Thank you so very much as it turns out I am also a nurse, wound care, orthopedics and surgery and later in life Allergy and immune systems. Of course I am not able to work now. Everyone’s kind thoughts are so encouraging! I will cuddle in the quilt and love it back the connection that my dad and his twin sister were from England and that the maker of this quilt is also, makes it even more special.
It is never truly Sunday until I sit down with my coffee and enjoy my time with Kate like I have since the very begining.

Congrats to the winner of that quilt. First thing after my brain injury, the physio asked me to start was fiber crafts to help with recruiting new brain cells to do the work of the damaged ones. I already did, so just make it a habit to do a bit every day.

I just finally got to finish watching this video and now I see that you did indeed announce that I am the winner, I’m so very excited and thankful to you! I’ve had others listen to it and I had to fight back my tears every time, so joyful!
I watched the video when you and Anna were opening the fabric to make those squares in preparation for her quilt. And I loved that you then decided to use the squares to make the resulting quilt and I followed along the whole journey. I love that fabric line and those colors it couldn’t be more perfect.

I have a UA-cam channel and I'm planning to start some shibori for a set of Pojagi curtains. I have also started EPP hexagons in retro fabrics. Oh, and I did a little bit of surgery on my Granddaughters stuffed Bunny last night, she lost a leg.

Another lovely video. Loved that chatting, thanks to both Kate and Anna. Last night I started crocheting a winter hat because this Tuesday I will have hours to wait at the hospital while my husband gets a pacemaker/icd put in. I felt the need for something besides my iPad, lol. The hat will also make it easy to do some people watching, lol. I would also appreciate any prayers for my husband and for our travelling(about 1.5 hours to get there), and peace for me. Thank you 💕

Awwww, how lovely! Congratulations Valerie and I hope you're doing well. Traumatic brain injuries are quite serious, but the amazing thing is how well we can heal from them! I'm sure you've been told about neuroplasticity and how our brain makes new connections - fascinating stuff. It takes at least a year to heal from a TBI - my youngest daughter was in a motorcycle accident and she has amazed everybody with her recovery. I wish you all the best, and I can only imagine how the colours of Kate's quilt will stimulate your brain and help you to a speedy recovery! xxx

I'm sitting here while you and Anna are reading comments from people like me. I'm 76 and have been crafting for many years. I quilt, cross stitch, do beaded work, and some wood projects like your chairs. You have inspired me to try hand quilting again. I haven't done it myself since people started long arming. I'm afraid though that while I while away the hours watching show after show of yours, I'm getting very little of mine done.

Kate and Anna, I love the video of course and I love those quilts they just glow. You know what my favorite part is ...the little ticking sound that comes when kate places the needle through the fabric the wadding the back and then comes back out to the top. It makes such a comforting little tick tick tick. I found myself anticipating that little sound. Everything about your channel is so comforting and so interesting and challenging thanks to both of you although I did miss seeing the kitties 😻
