    Good movie, but it was way too obvious it was the aunt from the start. People talk about how good of a detective Loki was in the movie, but he failed to suspect the most obvious suspect. If Alex is a primary suspect and he can't think straight or is dependent on someone else, then you should immediately suspect the guardian. For a detective who supposedly is good at solving cases, he should have had it wrapped up from the jump.
    Edit: Also the craziest scene in this movie was when Barry's mother talked about how her child was taken by someone in an RV and she asks Loki, "What do you think that means?" Well, obviously it means the family with that RV is involved. Loki was way too slow with details. The aunt obviously lied about hearing nothing, there was the RV connection, he should have made the husband connection sooner. I am still so confused on how the aunt got a pass from the beginning it just doesn't make sense. She is the most OBVIOUS suspect. Her being the suspect was more obvious than the suspect in the Glass Onion movie.

    This movie is disturbing. After rewatching it with you on Patreon, I went to sleep and had a funny dream. Humanity was discovering that it was being invaded by a host of fake humans, manikins animated by pig's blood that would seep into their plastic bodies to bring them to life. It was then recommended not to feed pork to these fake humans, because it was like making them cannibals despite them (they were cannibals then without knowing it... where did I get this idea? 🤔 ). But it was tricky, because not serving certain people deli meats at parties and events was like saying "sorry buddy, someone has to tell you someday...the thing is... You're not a real human", which of course were very rude and impolite. So it was a real dead end, a really delicate thing in social relations and we didn't know how to make it less awkward.
    When I woke up, I thought, "All of a sudden everyone knew that fake humans were fake humans but nobody ever wondered 'what about me? Am I a real human?' I'm sure I'm a real human but don't know why." Hmm... Westworld must have influenced me too I guess. Dreams are funny things, aren't they?

    Haven't seen this one, but I saw Tetris last night and loved it. You could probably do the 30 day trial of Apple TV just to see/react. I was gonna leave a comment on the Miles Morales trailer but kinda stalled out on the question who's my favorite Spider-Man. That's hard to say because all my favorites were actually clones/had their comic runs cancelled. Kaine Parker had a good run while in Houston, Tx. I got tired reading the wiki on that and didn't look up what issues they were.

      Yes! We’ve been keeping an eye out for Tetris. Glad to hear it’s been received well. Gonna add it to our list😄 Also Kaine Parker! That is a name a don’t often hear mentioned often. Glad you’re showing him some love! And yeah I feel you on that. There’s so many runs that unfortunately get discontinued. We got Ben Reilly coming in for Across the Spider-Verse I wonder if Kaine could make an appearance for pt 2

    This film hits differently before and after you have children. Having children, everything Dover did was rational. The police department was entirely incompetent and he felt he had to take matters into his own hands. Also, Alex WAS an accomplice, whether he was capable of doing that crime himself or taking legal responsibility is another issue. But he was an accomplice to kidnapping and he lied to investigators. Dover torturing would’ve worked with 99% of people, but didn’t work for that guy for whatever reason.
    In the chance Dover is found alive, I can’t imagine a jury going too hard against him for what he did.

    • @tanjabuchholz5314
      @tanjabuchholz5314 Місяць тому

      Alex was extremely mentally and psychologically damaged from his kidnapping and years of abuse. He was a victim. And, no, beating and torturing him was not rational at all. It accomplished nothing. Searching for clues and surveilling Alex and the aunt's house would have gotten him more results.

  • @jonXler
