Si no me equivoco, esa chapa que recubre la pila es de zinc de buena calidad. Si ponés pedacitos de esa chapa en ácido muriático (clorhídrico) hasta que se satura (no las ataca más), obtenés un excelente ácido para limpiar las superficies a soldar con estaño (no con llama, sino con calor como de un soldador tipo lápiz). Es impresionante con la facilidad que se fusiona el estaño a la superficie. Es un viejo truco de los antiguos hojalateros.
