She probably pees on herself when you take the diaper away because the cold mat startles her. Just a theory to keep in mind since you said she really only does it the times you don't put an extra diaper under her!

For allergies you can put lavender essential oil behind your ears and take a spoonful of honey every day, it helps a lot overtime. Cove is so cute and I love watching your videos!💕
Run a wipe across her lower belly before you take the wet one off. The change in temperature makes them pee when you remove the diaper. So that will help before you take the wet one off!

The doona is so cool! When I have a baby i plan on getting the doona. Makes life so much easier. Also, she pees when theres nothing under her bec the changing pad is probably cool to the touch for her and it's a natural reaction for babies to pee when their bottom and area get cold. Which is why little baby boys pee when they're not covered.

I know your doctor said it was okay to take allergy medicine but I just had a doctor tell me to stop taking allergy medicine as soon as I go into labor (38 weeks today) because it can affect your milk supply. Also, this is the first time I have watched a newborn diaper bag video that is super minimal like I have mine so far. Most videos these moms are like pack 12 extra outfits, 6 blankets, and 17 burb rags 😳
One thing that qorks for me for seasonal alergies is cycling through different allergy pills every time I become amune. My current favorite is Allegra, but it us constantly changing (other good ones are zyrtec, claritin, and zyzal) Benadryl is one that always works well. One thing that works for runny noses is the nasacort nose spray(you have to use it before your nose starts dripping though).I also like nasal sprays (they always work). Sometimes netty pots work but it isn't very pleasant. If you have ichy eyes then a great eye drop is called Visine. A lot of times it works to just wash out you eyes in the sink, with a wash cloth, or with eye wash drops. You can also use newborn shampoo or gental face wash to clear your eyes. One other thing that feels good for itchy eyes is to warm up a wet wash cloth and put it on your face. It is also best to stay inside as much as possible(however boring it might be).
I have seasonal allergeries, and they do suck :( Maybe try to stay indoors where there's AC and drinking a lot of water and orange juice? I also try to use nasal spray everyday (that I remember, lol)

Before completely removing the nappy wipe a wet wipe over the bottom of her belly with my boys it was guaranteed to make them pee and it meant that pee was in the old nappy not on me and the new nappy lasted longer cos all the pee was out
My grandma always believed in Vick’s. All over your back,chest and bottom of your feet, warm heating pads to back and chest and socks on your feet. It’s worked all my life and I’m 61 yo. Nothing about it hurts the baby, just make sure it doesn’t come in contact with the baby.🙏🏼💜🤘🏼🇺🇸👶🏻😷🙌🏼🤧🤧🤧
I have HORRIBLE pollen allergies in the spring. I really recommend Zyrtec before you get symptoms. Like take it every morning and don’t touch your face. Also in general sometimes I just have to avoid being outside which kinda sucks.
With my babies I would open the diaper and wait a couple seconds because they would always pee! Then I took the diaper off. You could try that. 😊 She’s beautiful! 😍
Allergies really suck.. my husband is allergic to pork, soya, all type of fish, eggs, garlic, seafood, strawberry, banana and more. The only good things is that every year or 2, he does test and some of them seems to be less intense if not disappear completely. It use to be a lot worst..

Allergy Tip:
Get some Vicks and melt it down.
Freeze it in an ice cube tray.
Put one in your shower and let it steam up.

so I go up a size in diapers when they start leaving red marks from the straps. If the next size diapers are a little bit big, they will grow into it!
