For me, I'm half-retarded, and almost all of my teachers thought I was one of the dumbest ones in the class. So, this program looks like I could go there, have some friends, until I failed out.
On the one hand, while I was in college there was a student named Larry. This was a blue collar college, with most students either in: A) Law enforcement studies/ Constitutional Law B) Education (teachers) C) TV/Film-behind the scenes education-being a camera operator, sound person, editing, producing, etc. D) There was 100 other majors available, but the lion's share of students came from the three majors above. In short, Larry didn't belong as he had the academic ability of a 2nd grader and the EQ of a 9th grader. He had volunteered for a student organization that I ran, but I had to "fire" him after he made some extremely inappropriate comments to half a dozen female students. He seemed to disappear from campus after that.
I am sorry to hear about Larry and I hope that your school has great resources and mental health support for everyone to be better at understanding each other and for everyone to have the opportunity to do great things with love and support fam!
Absolutely love that this is being promoted! Great campus, great people!
