Gorgeous wing construction. I know it is a very good idea to see how strong it is but it still hurts seeing such a beatiful piece of work exposed to stresses thath abnormally high and even up to the point of destruction.
its amazing the strength that 2oz cloth either side of the foam will support. Do you put any through holes in your foam for the resin to penetrate ? I have seen small holes pepper the foam so the resin can seep through to create a through support. Great work, keep the vids coming please, there is a core following that like your videos.
Very interesting construction, are you going to experiment with some other constructions? and what is the weight compared to the construction you would normaly use?

Like I said these wings looked horrid being the first made
Beautiful work friend!! I would beef up the main spar a small bit , and run it to the tip. Very little weight gain for added strength.
I was worried that I'd have to dial 911 for a second there!
me too... laugh

Yes for the holes, I use a spiked roller for use on carpet joints.
What is the weight of the wing panel. Great videos BTW.
I think they are about 1.5 lbs per panel with flaps and ailerons... no servos

No more experiments. So far this method works great on the Tucano and A6 Intruder
Excellent! Be careful not to hurt yourself. What state/province are you located in?
I,m in Fernley Nevada
It's way too strong! No need for any more reinforcement!
Nice job, what's the weight of that part? Looks like 70-80 gramms.
1.5 lbs
How much does it weight
approx 1.5 its per wing panel
