I wasn't so impressed with this win. Magnus is great and all but what happened in this game was mostly on Wesley in my opinion. He didn't capitalize on his advantage and made too many passive moves after trading Queens. In fact trading Queens was probably the first major mistake on his part. He let the pressure of playing Magnus get to his head.
What's crazy is Wesley could probably much easily win or even draw that game against a computer but Magnus tried to complicate the position by not playing the best obvious moves and won.
Its amazing seeing how both these guys are on a whole different level of skill! Announcer saying moves Ng7+ and Nxf5 ( 11:20 ) for Wesley but when they do the analysis( 12:49 ), it would give Magnus some good counter play. Wesley sees this and pushes pawn to f3 instead ( 12:23 ). Their skill is absolutely wild!

Well he played the opening and middle game terribly for his standards. Far from his best form, still might be enough to win the tournament though
