Rap started in the bronx and my mother was born in the Bronx 6/2/54 so I have always felt it is one place I have to go see for myself one day...Ive been to NY a few times but not where I wanted to go..Would I be wrong if I tag somethin when I go?
love it yo . i just was at bronx river some days ago. hadded the pleassure to hang around with some guys from the past. many storys and you still feel the energy`! Peez from mexico city, from a swiss dude!
The thing I'll always remember about growing up in the Bronx back then beside all the abandoned/burned down buildings were the packs of dogs that use to roam around the neighborhoods. How things have changed.
Same here...Them stray dogs were something else back then....Had to jump on peoples cars.....The cars were made of steel back then.....Lol....Great memories.
@1004 Grizzies I know they were "there" but living in the same community as blacks has nothing to do with a created genre. Hip-hop started out as a black art form spearheaded bye DJ Kool herc and Afrika Bambaataa. Latinos later on in the late 70s got involved in it and contributed to it. But they did not create it.
Yo Jenja718 do your homework kid. You must be to young to not know about Ruby Dee, Charlie Chase, Crazy Legs and the list goes on. Theres alot of Puerto Ricans that were pioneers to the hip hop jump off. Like I said do your homework!!!!!
Damn, I miss the old NY
If you were there bro this was such a time in life man makes me wanna cry bro and all those left behind along the way.
