Really enjoyed your video! Brings back some wonderful childhood memories. Back when I was a young boy in the late 1950's I would go elk hunting with my dad out of Ukiah, Oregon. Almost always we would set up his old WWII Army tent after dark, by truck lights. Most often it would be snowing. We had an old pot belly stove he left at the spot year round as it was too heavy to move from the truck to the tent and then back to the pickup truck when we left. Usually there were some additional bullet holes in the stove than there was the year previous. Around midnight if all went well we would have the tent set up. Dad lined the bottom with a couple bales of straw for warmth. Once the stove was fired up and the chill was driven out, I would slip down into that warm sleeping bag and minutes later be sound asleep. Yet the moment prior to going to sleep ... listening to the fire cracking in the stove ... and all being peaceful inside that tent: It was one of my most cherished memories as it is still today at near age 75. Nothing like a warm sleeping bag with the smell of straw to give one a nature high! Now getting up to go hunting the next morning? That was the HARDEST thing to do, because the fire in the stove would be out and usually we would be well below freezing outside. Inside the tent wasn't much better. Getting out of that warm sleeping bag and doing our duties before heading out before daybreak to be on our stands ... THAT was NOT fun. Yet at daybreak when the shooting started ... all was forgotten. Now the adrenlin was running high ... waiting for that bull elk to appear.

When camping with my dog, a fox terrier, admittedly camper trailer based, when cooking, I always cooked for him as well. Whatever I ate, he ate as well. No matter if it was rump streak, bacon & eggs, pancakes, porridge, pork chops etc, if it was good enough for me, 'Twas good enough for him. Also, he was deaf from birth. Didn't matter to me, I still talked to him. I loved him very much and I know he loved me. I also had a cat that would go bush with me and never left my side for other than a few minutes. I notice you don't appear to talk to your dog. If this is so, you are missing out on renewing your bonds with him. My dogs & cats would sleep on / in my bed, depending on the weather of course. We renewed our bonds several times a day, me stroking and talking WITH them, never TO them. Makes a LOT of difference, they read your body language and tone of voice. You are their pack, so to speak. Good luck with your camping. ! By the way, where does your dog sleep. NO BED for him. ? ? Your dog will also be your body Guard to let you know if and when any one or animal approaches you camp site. LISTEN to your dog when he barks. The type of bark will let you know what's coming to / FOR you.

@@Dmdirmrjr33 Yeah, I disagreed until I saw poor dog was laying on wet dirt the whole time.
Poor dog laying on cold damp ground he could have brought ground sheet and a warm blanket or something to keep that poor dog warm and why not give him some warm food poor dog must get cold at night .
That is one beautiful dog!
Damn he brought a lot of food with him on this trip lol
fr tho, double steak sandwich after two steaks lol. I guess he was hungry.
It was in the RV...just out of view
Cold conditions require a lot of calories, not to mention all the physical work
@@Takticals I agreed with that. Just amazing to see him carry all of this food in a backpack of that size.
Peaceful and tranquil times with your dog and no other aggravating humans. Watching from Florida USA, great video
Thank you very much!
Those chestnuts look enticing. Love seeing your dog having the best time of its life in the natural surroundings with long distance communication with its cousins during the night.
Once I accidentally ended up owning a dog and I've never looked back.... that was 30 years ago... I'm on my third dog I wish they lived as long as people... the stove is awesome
You eat them?oh my god

Just you & your dog spending quality time together.... they don't call them man's best friend for nothing... beautiful dog.... excellent video... nothing like the peace & tranquil sound of nature... peace...
The dog cold not be more happy. He is making a den to spend the night.
I love it when he feeds his dog first..
I was hoping for a meaty treaty for the doggo.
The dog is like 60% happy in this one.
Dogs are the best companion. They will not betray you nor leave you. Love your videos.
That dogs great.
Needs a little more comfort.
The dog needed a bed, was very disappointed in this guy!
Omg the dog is not human. You can clearly see his dog is well cared for, well fed and loved. The ground was his bed and perfectly fine. Dogs are not humans. You have no idea about this man’s life or the dogs life is like other than what he allows you to see on the video. You could also clearly see the dog is well trained and that takes time and effort by the owner. So stop being an animal Karen.
Me too. Iam very very disappointed in this guy. He is ignoring the dog totally. No comfort, no clapping nothing. How can you eat while the dog watching hungrily ? Thumps down to this video.
@@sammyl2071 ❄️
As a leader you have to eat first. Dogs need education.
У Вас чудесная собака! Берегите своего друга!
Посмотрела Вас после очень напряженной рабочей недели и отдохнула от цивилизации за компанию!
Can't argue with that.

I love your dog.
I like such an atmosphere. I love life on land sometimes. I am watching you from Algeria.

Ето точно
А где метель? Вы когда-нибудь видели настоящую метель? Это же какой-то слабенький снежок. Да и мороза явно нет.
The dog needs a mat too .
I thought same or even a grass bed
I know right !
inside the tent, no it doesn't.
Well priority was making the video even though it made everybody feel bad for the dog LOL
Dog dont need a mat.
Spruce Bows will do.
Put a small tarp over it.

I’d like to see a video on how all the gear and supplies were packed for the walk in.
Right, his Cadillac SUV or Land Rover is just beyond 100 feet ~
He found the stove in the woods and decided to camp there !
The tent, the stove, the food and all other accessories including the Dog were already present in the woods. He just walked in and camped.

You were so sweet to make sure, your dog was served, a hot meal! Please, just bring a blanket, for him to lay on, next time! Happy camping, wished for the both of you! 🙂
Looked like the dog was on a blanket
Interesting video, but the guy couldn't be bothered to at least get some evergreen branches to place on the ground so that his dog wouldn't have to sleep on the cold, muddy, wet ground?
Thats what a was thinking
Yep.
Agree. The dog seems like it was being forced to face the winter weather like it was a stray.
Tell me you know nothing about dogs without telling me you know nothing about dogs. Lol
🥴🤪
indeed weird the dog had to sleep on the sand with out a blanket or something?
Look how happy his dog is when he's constantly on an adventure
Çok güzel izledikçe izleyesi geliyor insanın çok teşekkür ederim.
This video made me hungry.
Can tell that is a special and beautiful dog.
The dog is everything 😂
Now we are talking woodcraft and film. 100%. Thank you for this.
Very Disciplined dog, and outstanding content! Couldn't stop watching till the end. This proves words are not important! Great Video!
When camping with my dog, a fox terrier, admittedly camper trailer based, when cooking, I always cooked for him as well.
Whatever I ate, he ate as well.
No matter if it was rump streak, bacon & eggs, pancakes, porridge, pork chops etc,
if it was good enough for me, 'Twas good enough for him.
Your dog will also be your body Guard to let you know if and when
any one or animal approaches you camp site.
LISTEN to your dog when he barks.
The type of bark will let you know what's coming to / FOR you.
Can't you see the dog is happy and playful ..my dog didn't have a particular bed ...but he loved being with me and loved me ....some people are not demonstrably affectionate
@@soniadowney7427 if you are not taking care of pets physical well being - in the least - then you shouldn't have one. What's the logic of not caring for them so they don't get sick ??

I think he should have shared the steaks with the doggy.
