Today I'm spotlighting my amazing Mom for a great VR from @the_card_closet
Eric has a great channel and recently went over 750 subs! Check out his channel if you haven't already.
My Mom has been a huge influence on my life and always encouraged my siblings and I with our collections. She also hooked us up with some great cards on our birthdays and at Christmas.
And I spaced it in the video, but when I was showing my picture playing football in Little League, my Mom was so excited to have her sons playing that she became the president of the Little League for a few years! I couldn't ask for a better Mom.

Thanks buddy! Yeah before eBay it could be a pain finding specific cards, especially short prints like that. She made my whole Christmas with that one card 😊 I never really thought about it at the time, but she picked us amazing vintage cards back in the day! Thanks for watching!

Hi Brian, I really enjoyed hearing about the influence your mom had not just on your collecting but also in life. She has great taste in vintage football cards with Sayers, Butkus, Piccolo, Brown, Unitas and Gifford. That's about as good as it gets. She sounds like a real sweet lady. You don't need me to tell you how difficult a disease MS is to deal with. That's great she faced it with strength and grace. I am sure it comforts her having you, your dad and the rest of the family around.
You're right. Your dad wore that stash well. Haha.
I haven't commented to you since the draft. The Bears did well. I am looking forward to seeing how they do this year.
Thanks terry! Yeah my mom is a great lady, and was so supportive of us growing up with our hobbies and interests and did a great job picking out some vintage cards of some great players! I forgot to mention it in the video but even when I was playing little league football, she ended up getting so involved she became the president of the district little league.
This was definitely a fun VR to be able to do, and I'm definitely excited for the season this year with the bears. They have a lot of talent at wide receiver, and although I was not a fan of his in college, I'm hoping Caleb Williams will be the answer that Chicago has desperately needed for decades now. Looking forward to seeing how things play out! Hope you're having a great weekend!
Great VR for the Card Closet, Brian! Your Mom is a special woman! My Mom is a special woman too, but she hated sports cards! I picked that up from my Dad! My Dad passed away in 2020! I still miss him!🐻
Thanks James! Yeah my mom's great, and I really appreciate her encouraging my brothers and I with our collecting. I'm sure she was relieved that is what we were interested in spending our time doing 😁 That's awesome your dad helped you get into sports cards 😊👍.
It sounds like we both have great parents. It's so hard to lose those close to us. I lost my brother in 2005 and it's still hard. I miss him too.
love the video my mom was a big patriot fan and me and her bonded over football she also encouraged my card collecting by taking me to card shops and what not

Thanks so much Steve, I appreciate that! Yeah losing my little brother was really tough. I think it helped our family become even closer. As a dad myself now, I can't even imagine going through what my parents did. My mom amazes me still. And she sure has good taste in the 90's picking up these legends cards! Nice! I remember when I was about 8, my Dad shaved his mustache and he looked so different to me that I was scared of him! He ended up growing it right back after that 🤣

Isn't that great, growing up with Mom's who saw the love we had for cards, and encouraged it. I really appreciate you sending well wishes her way, Steve! Yeah, my mom been a real trooper with MS all these years. The last few have been tough. She's not nearly as mobile as she was, but she does her best and never complains.
