Very well done, indeed. I have also had the privilege of seeing "Man of La Mancha" in three local intimate theatre productions, the latest in the second row of a 200-seat house. This remains one of my favorite Broadway musicals, and your group is doing it justice.
Yes...bravo. So inspiring (of the spirit) and beautiful. Moves one fully to the heart. No wonder the tears, the connection. Grateful for all of this: the music, the art, the heart.
Just found this clip just now. I have loved this show since my brother in high school got his first outside gig lighting a college production. I've seen many local productions including one in which the woman shouting out "he's a madman" as if she were, got a standing ovation. I think this is beautiful and will continue to watch it. Sorry to be so many years late.
Your singing is stunning. I played the Housekeeper in a production of this a couple of years ago, and I love the show. I'm using this clip in the playlist for a musical theater history course I'm teaching.
Hi Evan, Thanks so much for your comments! I'm so happy you enjoyed this clip. This performance took place at the University of Illinois at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts back in February 2011. Matthew Scollin was the Cervantes in this clip. He is an up-and-coming bass-baritone who is currently an apprentice with Seattle Opera.
I know this is my third comment but TComb you are Dulcinea you brought her to life I have seen two productions and you made me believe . To you my lady I say .... Not well? What is illness to the body of a knight-errant? What matter wounds? For each time he falls, he shall rise again, and woe to the wicked.
American Camelot died with the Assassinations of the Kennedy Brothers and Martin Luther King Jr. With Watergate the Vietnam War America's morale was hitting rock bottom. This musical came out when needed telling Americans there's hope as long as they have faith. Don Quixote is not dead. Believe Sancho, BELIEVE!
T Coambs I keep coming back because this play has a special meaning to my family. Back in 1981 my dad just got out of a divorce from his first wife. He was doing little theater Ma Of La Mancha and a girl who was working on the play introduced my dad to a young girl my mom. My mom became a usherette and started to date my mom
9:45 To dream the impossible dream, To fight the unbeatable foe, To bear with unbearable sorrow To run where the brave dare not go... To run where the brave dare not go, Though the goal be forever too far. To try, though you're wayworn and weary, To reach the unreachable star... To reach the unreachable star, Though you know it's impossibly high, To live with your heart striving upward To a far, unattainable sky!!!!
i have seen this show twenty times. it is my dream role even though im handicapped. this is the best interpretation of the las scene i have seen in 28 years in theater. where was this done and who play cervantes. thank you again for your wonderful work. evan gadda
The reactions of the supporting cast ruin it for me... With all the quiet whispering and soft gestures of unsureness between one another, I was literally left on the edge of my seat...
Nothing's happening between the actors. The others should be transfixed on Aldonza's redemption -- even though they later attempt to drag her away. All their whispering and gesturing destroys the moment. People are just disconnected onstage. They're watching themselves, monitoring themselves. Indicating emotion, no real pain. It should be a resurrection. instead it's a reprise.
Will re-post on www.sallymurphythebeautiful.com; a fan site to Broadway and dedicate to the most wonderful Sally Murphy. Note: NO PROFITS are being made from this site.

If there are no dreams, then there are no challenges, consequently as William Shakespeare via the lips of Macbeth, said: life is but a shadow, a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon a stage and is heard no more; it’s a tale told by an idiot and is heard no more… . Thank GOD, even the ‘fool’ has dreams that perpetuates his daily existential dreams and give him life and a meaning for his existence!
This Sancho single handedly ruined this entire scene. What I thought was a pretty good scene was upstaged by someone who thought Sancho should be as expressive as possible.
Man of La Mancha and Les MIs. are my two most favorite musicals. I listen to any of their songs as often as I can.
Me too!!❤
The impossible dream reprise is beautiful it’s smiler of Do you hear the people sing
Man of La Mancha and Les Miserables actually got different Soundtracks of any finale
This woman's voice is spectacular.
God, I should not be this choked up. This is the best rendition of this scene I've seen and the only one that made me cry. Bravo!

Choked up too...😭😭😭
WOW her voice is exquisite

Thank you so much! It was a fantastic production to be a part of.
Man of La Mancha and Les Miserables are both combined with of the impossible dream and Do hear the people sing reprise
We are both Man of La Mancha that slays the Villain of The Captain of inquisition
Esa escena me hace llorar cada vez que la veo!!!
I cry every time watching that scene!!!

That’s so kind of you! I loved doing this production! It brings back happy memories when I think back on it!

Loved your Aldonza. Best of luck in further endeavors.

My favorite play & a great scene. Everyone was excellent but the set design was fabulous
Bravo bravo
I was going to change this because I don’t usually like Broadway songs sung legit - but the “Dulcinea” reprise moments were heavenly.
Excellent! Absolutely excellent! 👍👌
I'm not crying - you're crying!
A beautiful Dulcinea with a beautiful voice.
Her voice!!!!!!❤

BEST DULCINEA VOICE!
Well done. A voice right up there with the great Joan Diener.
Bravo!!! Bravo!!! Bravo!!! Wonderful Singing of The Impossible Dream. The Best that I have ever heard. Just Awesome!!! Mui Bien!!! Mucho Gracias!!!

The lighting as Miguel and Sancho left murdered me. I just wish they had cut to black a second earlier
Like Camelot I want to see a live stage version of Man of La Mancha.
The impossible dream reprise becomes the stronger version of
Do hear the people sing
Man of La Mancha and Les Miserables
are both combined into The impossible dream and Do hear the people sing
The impossible dream reprise
That actually overthrows the captain of inquisition
Amazing who ever gave this thumbs down doe not know good music.
os complete?

I think you'd be more suited to the title role than you realize.

Not true Andrew
Chris Miccolupi 🤷🏻♂️
Two thumbs down? I sense a couple bitter understudies
