This is my personal weapon of choice that I bough a long time ago. It is my 2013 Gibson Les Paul Custom in the beautiful Silverburst finish.

Funny, we share very similar gear. I also own a Silverburst and a Alpine White Les Paul Custom, a Standard and a Custom Adam Jones and a Diezel VH-4 😂

I definitely prefer the top hat reflector knobs over the speed knobs as well
Honestly I like the newer Silverburst just as much as the aged. I guess it’s personal preference and kinda cool with the Gibson Silverburst you get the bright silver in the beginning and maybe as you get tired (or used to it) of the brighter color you are rewarded with a new color over time. I’m thinking of getting the Epiphone LP-Custom Silverburst and I don’t mind keeping the original Silverburst as long as the specs are the same in all Epiphone customs I’ll probably get the Silverburst… reason being I’ve heard the gold hardware on Epiphone starts to wear off and oxidize quickly, so I’ll go for the chrome hardware just to be safe even though I do love the (plain Artic white/gold) gold hardware better
Yeah u get two finishes into one like with most Gibsons. I just love the way Nitro ages!
That tone is pretty close to Tool. If only the VH-4 wasn’t so expensive 😅
Yeah if I add in his effects and the pickups its gonna be bang on. But I was not going for the Tool sound when buying the LP Custom and the Diezel.

Happy birthday Les Paul and thank you for inventing the solid body guitar in the Epiphone factory 1939 - 41..if not for you and Epiphone there would be No Gibson Les Paul today period!..Also I would Add that Les Paul played Epiphones especially recoding from the early 1940s to the end of the 1950's..when he was under contract with Gibson..Gibson eventually to him to stop and when his contract ended with Gibson he started playing both epiphone and Gibson Live I should know saw him in March of 2009..

@GeorgeVGuitars bottom line Gibson didn't invent the les Paul solid body guitar or did they invent the les Paul body style or the open book headstock..ever asked yourself why Gibson hasn't won law suits..not hard to see why..the original solid body Les Paul guitar was invented in the Epiphone factory in New York long before McCarty and Gibson got involved with anything with Les Paul

And my question is which one is you favorite, the gibson or the esp iron cross ?
The Iron Cross ESP comes second after all my LP Customs. My fav is my 2019 Gibson LP Custom, second: 1976 Iron Cross, then my 2008 LP Alpine White, Silverburst and then ESP Iron Cross.

What, I thought the Epiphone wino JJ was your favorite all time guitar . I'm surprised it's the Gibson silver burst guitar .
The Wino is not even close, but it is the best value for money Epi 👀

Idk what it is but Epi/Gib LPs just feel like carrying the Excalibur of guitars. I've never particularly liked any other guitars but Epi/Gib or intentional copies just feel and sound right to me
